......Background: Indonesia is a country that is often hit by natural disasters, accidents and crimes that cause fatalities, so it is not uncommon to find bodies that only leave their bones. Observation of anatomical and morphological properties is the most popular method for relating race to bones. The skull is the most widely studied body part and the nose and mouth parts of the skull are the best parts for racial identification. Objective: To know the morphological and morphometric parameters on orocraniofacial to determine race. Methods: The sample consisted of 20 skulls from the Sema Wayah cemetery in Trunyan Village, Bali and 7 skulls from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Indonesia. In this study, measurements were made on each skull based on morphological and morphometric parameters. Data analysis to compare between the Trunyan and Non Trunyan groups used univariate, bivariate and multivariate tests. Results: The ability of morphological parameters namely Inferior Nasal Aperture, Nasal Bone Contour, Inter Orbital Breadth in explaining race is 56.8%. The morphometric average value for the total probability is 2.0778 and in the category is 8.6296 as the threshold for determining racial identification. If the result of the calculation is <0.5, it means Trunyan > 0.5, it means Not Trunyan. Overall, this model is able to identify the Trunyan and Non-Trunyan races by 81.48%."

"The Routledge Handbook of Race and Ethnicity in Asia introduces theoretical approaches to the study of race, ethnicity and indigeneity in Asia beyond those commonly grounded in the Western experience.
The volume’s twenty-eight chapters consider not only the relationship between ethnic or racial minorities and the state, but social relations within and between individual and transnational communities. These shape not only the contours of governance, but also the means by which knowledge of national identity, ‘self ’, and ‘other’ have been constructed and reconstructed over time. Divided into four sections, it provides holistic and comparative coverage of South, South East, and East Asia, as well as Australasia and Oceania; an area that extends from Pakistan in the West to Hawai’i in the East.
Contributors to this handbook offer a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives, opening a domain of scholarship wherein the relationship between phenotype and racism is less pronounced than European and North American approaches, which have often privileged the so-called ‘colour stigmata’, leading to further exclusions of particular ethnic, racial, and indigenous communities.
This volume seeks to overcome racism and white ideologies embedded in theories of race and ethnicity in Asia, proving a valuable resource to both students and scholars of comparative racial and ethnic studies, international relations and human rights."

......Popular representations of race and ethnic relations in the US more often than not revolve around the Black minority-White majority discourse; however, there is an increase in pop culture media focusing on relationships among minorities, particularly the diverse Black population in the US. Although representing the diversity within Black people is applaudable, these representations are worth critiquing. This research analyzes the relationship between the Jamaican and African American characters in the Netflix Marvel TV series Luke Cage (2018) through the Self/Other construction theory. It argues that the African American characters are positioned as the Self due to how they are defined against the Jamaican characters. In turn, the Jamaican characters are positioned as the Other by having them struggle for power and contrasting their identity with the one embodied by the African American characters. Although the Jamaican characters are portrayed to have agency, the way they exercise it risks confining them to the dangerous Other trope."
