Abstrak :
Meningkatnya pertumbuhan jurnal ilmiah bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi tidak sebanding dengan adanya kesadaran pengelolaan data penelitian yang menyertainya, padahal data penelitian diperlukan sebagai bukti otentik keabsahan dan kualitas dari artikel yang dipublikasikan. Salah satu cara dalam menjamin ketersediaan akses terhadap data penelitian adalah melalui proses publikasi di penerbit, termasuk artikel di jurnal ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: a) Mengidentifikasi kebijakan jurnal ilmiah bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi dalam mendukung praktik pengelolaan data penelitian; b) Mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan proses pengelolaan data penelitian pada jurnal ilmiah bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi; c) Mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasi proses tersebut; dan d) Memberikan rekomendasi pengembangan kebijakan pengelolaan data penelitian pada jurnal ilmiah bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Penentuan informan melalui teknik purposive sampling yaitu para editor dan penulis pada jurnal ilmiah nasional bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi yang terakreditasi peringkat SINTA dua. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan studi dokumen yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2021 – Maret 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerbit jurnal ilmiah belum sepenuhnya memfokuskan perhatiannya pada data penelitian di dalam proses penerbitannya dengan belum tercantumnya pernyataan kebijakan penyerahan data penelitian. Namun demikian penelitian ini menemukan beberapa tantangan dan pengembangan kebijakan yang dapat diadopsi oleh penerbit jurnal ilmiah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerbit jurnal ilmiah perlu untuk mempersiapkan kebijakan data yang jelas, SDM yang berkompeten, dan infrastruktur yang memadai. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya penelitian lanjutan mengenai kesiapan sumber daya manusia, infrastruktur, dan implementasi dalam rangka penerapan kebijakan penyerahan data penelitian di penerbit jurnal ilmiah. Selain itu, agar kebijakan dipatuhi, kolaborasi pemangku kepentingan perlu dilakukan. ......The increasing growth of scientific journals in the field of library and information science is not followed by awareness of the management of research data accompanying it, while research data is needed as authentic evidence of the validity and quality of published articles. One way to ensure the availability of access to research data is through the publication process at publishers, including publishing articles in scientific journals. This study aims to: a) Identify the policies of scientific journals in the field of library and information science in supporting the practice of managing research data; b) Identify and describe the process of managing research data in scientific journals in the field of library and information science; c) Identify the challenges faced in the implementation of the process; and d) Provide recommendations for the development of research data management policies in scientific journals in the field of library and information science. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Determination of informants through purposive sampling technique, namely the editors and authors of national scientific journals in the field of library and information science that are accredited SINTA 2. The data collection technique used semi-structured interviews, observations, and document studies conducted from August 2021 – March 2022. The results of the study indicate that scientific journal publishers have not fully focused their attention on research data in the publishing process, as there is no policy statement for submitting research data. However, this study found several challenges and policy developments that can be adopted by scientific journal publishers. This research concludes that scientific journal publishers need to prepare research data policies, competent human resources, and adequate infrastructure. This research suggests that further research should be conducted on the readiness of human resources, infrastructure, and implementation of the policy for submitting research data to scientific journal publishers. In addition, in order that the policy to be complied with, stakeholder collaboration needs to be carried out.

"It has become increasingly accepted that important digital data must be retained and shared in order to preserve and promote knowledge, advance research in and across all disciplines of scholarly endeavor, and maximize the return on investment of public funds. To meet this challenge, colleges and universities are adding data services to existing infrastructures by drawing on the expertise of information professionals who are already involved in the acquisition, management and preservation of data in their daily jobs. Data services include planning and implementing good data management practices, thereby increasing researchers' ability to compete for grant funding and ensuring that data collections with continuing value are preserved for reuse. This volume provides a framework to guide information professionals in academic libraries, presses, and data centers through the process of managing research data from the planning stages through the life of a grant project and beyond. It illustrates principles of good practice with use-case examples and illuminates promising data service models through case studies of innovative, successful projects and collaborations"-
