"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pemaknaan idiom yang menggunakan kata hidung sebagai anggota tubuh yang dipilih. Idiom yang diteliti diambil dari e-book milik Dubrovin (1980) yang berjudul A Book of Russian Idioms Illustrated, yang memuat idiom berbentuk frasa maupun kalimat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitis yang termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini membahas dari segi morfologis (Kuznetsova, 2009 dan Savko, 2006), dari segi sintaksis (Popov, 2004), dan dari segi semantik (Condon, Perry, dan O'Keefe, 2004). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pemaknaan idiom yang menggunakan kata hidung lebih banyak menunjukkan karakteristik seseorang.

This research will study about the meaning of idioms with the word 'nose' as a part of human body that's been chosen for this journal. The idioms is taken from an e-book by Dubrovin (1980) called A Book of Russian Idioms Illustrated, that has both phrases and sentences as idioms. This research will be using methods of descriptive analytic, which will make this research as a qualitative research. We will look from the morphology side of things (Kuznetsova, 2009 and Savko, 2006), from syntaxes side (Popov, 2004), and from semantic side (Condon, Perry, and O'Keefe, 2004). The result of this research is that the idioms that's using yhe word 'nose' is mainly to show or tell us about characteristic of a person more that anything else. "

"Penelitian ini menjelaskan pemaknaan idiom dalam bahasa Rusia yang menggunakan kata kepala. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari e-book berjudul A Book of Russian Idioms Illustrated yang ditulis oleh Dubrovin (1980). Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi pustaka dan deskriptif analitis. Setiap idiom akan diteliti dari segi aspek morfologis (Savko, 2005, Popov 1986 dan Adamchik, 2007), sintaksis (Popov, 1986), dan semantik (Barthes dalam Hoed, 2007 dan Kongrauz, 2005) untuk mendapat pemaknaan yang sesuai melaui peninjauan terhadap makna denotasi dan konotasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini ada dua. Pertama, idiom dengan kata kepala dapat berupa frasa atau kalimat. Kedua, makna yang hadir menunjukkan emosi dan karakter seseorang.

This study explains the meaning of idioms in Russian language using the word head. The data obtained are from the e-book titled A Book of Russian Idioms Illustrated written by Dubrovin (1980).
