Abstrak :
This volume constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of 11 international workshops held as part of the 8th Extended Semantic Web Conference, ESWC 2011, in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, in May 2010. The 22 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 75 submissions to the workshops during two rounds of reviewing and improvement. The papers are organized in topical sections on the following workshops: 1st International Workshop on eLearning Approaches for the Linked Data Age, 1st Workshop on High-Performance Computing for the Semantic Web, 3rd International Workshop on Inductive Reasoning and Machine Learning for the Semantic Web, 1st Workshop on Making Sense of Microposts, 1st Workshop on Ontology and Semantic Web for Manufacturing, 1st Workshop on Question Answering over Linked Data, 4th International Workshop on REsource Discovery, 6th International Workshop on Semantic Business Process Management, 1st Workshop on Semantic Publication, 1st Workshop on Semantics in Governance and Policy Modelling, and 1st International Workshop on User Profile Data on the Social Semantic Web.

Abstrak :
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 9th Extended Semantic Web Conference, ESWC 2012, held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, in May 2012. The 53 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 212 submissions. They are organized in tracks on linked open data, machine learning, natural language processing and information retrieval, ontologies, reasoning, semantic data management, services, processes, and cloud computing, social Web and Web science, in-use and industrial, digital libraries and cultural heritage, and e-government. The book also includes 13 PhD papers presented at the PhD Symposium.

This conference is a joint event for regional semantic Web related conferences. JIST 2011 brings together the Asian Semantic Web Conference 2011 and the Chinese Semantic Web Conference 2011. The 21 revised full papers presented together with 12 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 82 submissions. Abstrak :
This volume contains the lecture notes of the 8th Reasoning Web Summer School 2012, held in Vienna, Austria, in September 2012, in the form of worked out tutorial papers on the various topics that have been covered in that school. The 2012 summer school program had been put together under the general leitmotif of advanced query answering topics for the Web. The idea was to address on the one hand foundations and computational aspects of query answering, in formalisms, methods and technology, and on the other hand to also spotlight some rising or emerging application fields relating to the semantic web in which query answering plays a role, and which by their nature also pose new challenges and problems for this task, linked stream processing, geospatial data, semantic wikis, and argumentation on the web fall in this category.

The 33 revised papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 85 submissions. The papers are organized in a general, main track and several others: a track on metadata and semantics for open access repositories, research information systems and infrastructures, a second on metadata and semantics for cultural collections and applications, and finally one on metadata and semantics for agriculture, food and environment.
