terus-menerus. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai kebijakan dan juga keputusan yang dikeluarkan EC terkait masalah perikanan itu sendiri. Kebijakan EC didasarkan pada masalah teritori dan masalah lingkungan. Pemerintah Spanyol pun melakukan berbagai hal untuk mencegah kondisi ini agar tidak bertambah parah
walaupun nyatanya tindakan dari mereka dirasa kurang berhasil, baik menurut Uni Eropa dan organisasi pecinta
lingkungan maupun para nelayan Sapnyol sendiri.
