"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai fluktuasi tingkat pengangguran di Spanyol dalam rentang waktu 2000-2010. Tingkat pengangguran Spanyol menyentuh angka terendah dan tertinggi dalam kurun waktu tersebut. Dalam kurun 2000-2010 terdapat beberapa peristiwa yang berpengaruh terhadap fluktuasi tingkat pengangguran ; dimulainya program sepuluh tahunan UE (Lisbon Strategy), krisis ekonomi Spanyol, dan reformasi undang-undang ketenagakerjaan. Lisbon Strategy yang telah disusun sedemikian rupa demi menciptakan UE yang dinamis dan kompetitif ternyata belum berkontribusi banyak terhadap masalah tenaga kerja Spanyol. Krisis ekonomi Spanyol pada 2008 menjatuhkan pasar tenaga kerja Spanyol dimana kondisi ini diperparah dengan posisi undang-undang ketenagakerjaan Spanyol yang dinilai belum mampu melindungi para pekerja khususnya mereka yang memiliki jenis kontrak kerja tertentu.

This thesis discusses about the fluctuation of Unemployment rate in Spain between 2000-2010. The unemployment rate reach the lowest as well as the highest rate during that period. Between 2000 and 2010 few things happened which is belived to be the cause of the fluctuation rate ; the initiation of EU’s Lisbon Strategy, Spanish economic crisis, and labour reform. Lisbon Strategy which was made to create a dynamic and competitive EU have failed contribute much to Spanish labour issue. Labour market in Spain faced a great shock caused by the crisis happened in 2008 which was compounded with labour policy that have failed to give protection to the worker, especially those who has a certain type of working contract."

"[ABSTRAKSetelah bergabung dengan European Community, sektor perikanan Spanyol mengalami penurunan secara terus-menerus. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai kebijakan dan juga keputusan yang dikeluarkan EC terkait masalah perikanan itu sendiri. Kebijakan EC didasarkan pada masalah teritori dan masalah lingkungan. Pemerintah Spanyol pun melakukan berbagai hal untuk mencegah kondisi ini agar tidak bertambah parahwalaupun nyatanya tindakan dari mereka dirasa kurang berhasil, baik menurut Uni Eropa dan organisasi pecintalingkungan maupun para nelayan Sapnyol sendiri.
