"Tesis ini berupaya memahami struktur keadilan menurut pemikiran John Rawls sesuai dengan etika Malagasi «Fihavanana». Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun kesetaraan antara semua, bukan kesetaraan literal namun perlakuan dan pengakuan yang sama, kesempatan yang sama sebagai basis untuk semua. Selain itu, teori keadilan John Rawls dekat dengan etika Malagasi «Fihavanana», yang idenya adalah untuk hidup bersama tidak hanya dalam ketertiban tetapi juga harmoni di atas segalanya, meskipun setiap orang tetap mencari kepentingannya masing-masing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan kerangka eksplanatoris. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa semua warga negara harus menikmati akses yang sama pada kebebasan fundamental; kondisi kehidupan mereka yang paling tidak beruntung harus diperbaiki saat ketidaksetaraan (sosio-ekonomi) masih hadir; afiliasi antara teori keadilan John Rawls dan etika Madagaskar «Fihavanana» harus meningkatkan kesadaran gotong royong, solidaritas sosial, serta persaudaraan. Kesimpulannya, saya melihat bahwa visi Rawlsian dan Fihavanana adalah dua prinsip yang menyentuh landasan kehidupan sosial. Mereka memastikan kesejahteraan semua orang dalam kehidupan sosial untuk memiliki masyarakat yang adil dan harmonis.

This thesis deals with the ability to understand the structure of justice according to the thought of John Rawls in accordance with the Malagasy ethics of  « Fihavanana ». This research, therefore, aims to establish equality between all, not literal equality but equal treatment and recognition, equal opportunities at the outset for all. In addition, Justice John Rawls is close to the Malagasy ethics of « Fihavanana », whose idea is to live together not only in order but also and above all harmonious, despite the search for the interests of all. This research is analytical research with an explanatory design. The results suggest that all citizens should enjoy strict equal access to fundamental freedoms; the living conditions of the most disadvantaged must be improved when (socio-economic) inequalities persist; the affiliations between the theory of justice of John Rawls and the ethics of Madagascan « Fihavanana » must improve mutual aid, social solidarity as well as a fraternity. In conclusion, I notice that Rawlsian vision and Fihavanana are two principles that touch the social foundation of life in society. They ensure the well-being of all in social life in order to have a just and harmonious society."
