Trading and Money Management in a Student-Managed Portfolio is a hands-on textbook for student-managed investment funds (SMIFs). Abstrak :
Skripsi ini meneliti mengenai strategi pengelolaan dana abadi yang dilakukan oleh tiga PTN-BH tertua dan terbesar, yaitu: ITB, UGM, dan UI. Dana abadi adalah salah satu skema pendanaan biaya operasional perguruan tinggi dengan memanfaatkan dana hibah dari alumni, mitra atau rekanan perguruan tinggi, dan masyarakat umum. Skripsi ini akan memperlihatkan informasi aktual mengenai bagaimana 3 PTN-BH tersebut mengelola dana abadi dibandingkan 4 perguruan tinggi di luar negeri seperti Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, dan WSU yang dinilai penulis, sudah optimal pengelolaannya. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa ITB sudah mengelola dana abadi dengan entitas terpisah dari rektorat badan khusus pengelola dana abadi, sedangkan UGM, dan UI masih mengelola dana abadi dengan entitas yang sama di bawah naungan rektorat. Ketiganya masih mengelola hibah pada dana abadi dengan aktivitas investasi yang rendah risiko, sehingga hibah yang diperoleh sulit berkembang atau meningkat dengan signifikan. Padahal esensinya, dana abadi bukan sebagai pelengkap dalam membiayai biaya operasional perguruan tinggi, melainkan salah satu pendanaan utama agar perguruan tinggi dapat independen dalam finansial. ...... My thesis is about management strategy at endowment funds have owned by ITB, UGM, and UI. This research has been done by qualitative methods with study in case to each of those universities. Endowment fund management is another way for university to funding itself as independently, beside students rsquo education fee and government rsquo s fund. That way is a managing the donations from some stakeholders who have relationship or interest to the university. This paper will show you the recent updates about management strategy of endowment fund at ITB, UGM, and UI. Then, the recent updates of that will comparing with management strategy at endowment funds have owned by Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, dan WSU whose more optimum utilization than ITB, UGM, and UI. The result of this research is those of three universities have not to optimum utilize their endowment fund. It happens because they handle the donations at their endowment fund on low risk. So, ITB, UGM, and UI have to change their mindset and their treatment for their endowment fund to make theirs optimum.
