Pulau Jawa merupakan wilayah seismik aktif karena merupakan bagian dari Busur Sunda yang terletak di atas penunjaman antara Lempeng IndoAustralia terhadap Lempeng Eurasia. Khususnya di Jawa Timur, data terbaru maupun catatan sejarah mengatakan bahwa aktivitas gempa di Jawa Timur termasuk sangat aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan tomografi double-difference untuk mencitrakan struktur kecepatan seismik 3D gelombang P dan S yang berkaitan dengan pola tektonik akibat zona subduksi. Data yang digunakan berasal dari katalog gempa dan katalog waktu tiba gelombang milik BMKG dengan periode perekaman dari 1 Januari 2020 hingga 31 Januari 2023. Terdapat 1.816 dari total 1.831 yang berhasil terelokasi. Proses inversi menunjukkan berkorelasi positif dengan keberadaan Cekungan Jawa Timur Utara berdasarkan seragamnya zona kecepatan rendah di area yang tersusun atas endapan dan batuan sedimen tersebut. Terdapat anomali kecepatan rendah yang diduga disebabkan oleh aktivitas magmatis di sepanjang rangkaian pegunungan berapi Jawa Timur, juga berasosiasi dengan aktifitas sesar lokal yakni Sesar Kendeng.
......Java Island is an active seismic region as it is part of the Sunda Arc, located above the subduction zone between the Indo-Australian Plate and the Eurasian Plate. Specifically in East Java, both recent data and historical records indicate high seismic activity. This study utilizes double-difference tomography to image the 3D seismic velocity structure of P and S waves related to tectonic patterns resulting from subduction zones. The data used is derived from the earthquake catalog and wave arrival time catalog owned by BMKG, covering the recording period from January 1, 2020, to January 31, 2023. Out of a total of 1,831 events, 1,816 were successfully relocated. The inversion process shows a positive correlation with the presence of the North Java Basin, indicated by a consistent low-velocity zone in the area composed of sedimentary deposits and rocks. Low-velocity anomalies are suspected to be caused by magmatic activity along the volcanic mountain range of East Java, also associated with local fault activity, the Kendeng Fault.

This book presents the concept of fractional dimensional space applied to the use of electromagnetic fields and waves. It provides demonstrates the advantages in studying the behavior of electromagnetic fields and waves in fractal media. The book presents novel fractional space generalization of the differential electromagnetic equations is provided as well as a new form of vector differential operators is formulated in fractional space. Using these modified vector differential operators, the classical Maxwell's electromagnetic equations are worked out. The Laplace's, Poisson's and Helmholtz's equations in fractional space are derived by using modified vector differential operators.;

Energy methods in dynamics is a textbook based on the lectures given by the first author at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Its aim is to help students acquire both a good grasp of the first principles from which the governing equations can be derived, and the adequate mathematical methods for their solving. Its distinctive features, as seen from the title, lie in the systematic and intensive use of Hamilton's variational principle and its generalizations for deriving the governing equations of conservative and dissipative mechanical systems, and also in providing the direct variational-asymptotic analysis, whenever available, of the energy and dissipation for the solution of these equations. It demonstrates that many well-known methods in dynamics like those of Lindstedt-Poincare, Bogoliubov-Mitropolsky, Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser (KAM), Wentzel–Kramers–Brillouin (WKB), and Whitham are derivable from this variational-asymptotic analysis. This second edition includes the solutions to all exercises as well as some new materials concerning amplitude and slope modulations of nonlinear dispersive waves.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem pembangkit gelombang berdiri 2 dimensi. Didalam sistem ini menggunakan prinsip Chladni plate , dimana pasir mengalami mode getar (resonansi) yang timbul pada membran lingkar dengan kondisi clamp edge dibeberapa ujung titik pada satu nilai frekuensi yang dominan. Frekuensi yang diberikan harus berupa gelombang sinus dengan menggunakan DDS AD9850 sebagai pembangkit sinyal . Pada setiap titik clamp edge dilengkapi dengan sensor loadcell, sehingga tekanan yang diberikan pada setiap titik dapat terukur besaran yang diberikan. Sistem ini diuji dengan cara membentuk pola getar Chladni dengan pemberian frekuensi yang terukur
.....This study aims to design and build a 2-dimensional standing wave generator system. In this system, it uses the Chladni plate principle, where the sand experiences a vibrating mode (resonance) that arises on the circular membrane with clamp edge conditions at several points at one dominant frequency value. The given frequency must be a sine wave using the DDS AD9850 as the signal generator. At each point the clamp edge is equipped with a load cell sensor, so that the pressure applied to each point can be measured the amount given. This system was tested by forming a Chladni vibration pattern by giving measured frequencies.
