"Era globalisasi menuntut semua organisasi, baik yang berorientasi pada laba ataupun nirlaba, untuk beroperasi secara efesien dan efektif. TUtujuannya untuk meningkatkan kualitas organisasi agar dapat bertahan dalam persaingan yang semakin ketat. Penggunaan Teknologi Informasi (TI) merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat memberikan kemudahan untuk membuat, memproses, menyimpan dan menyebarkan informasi. TI juga memungkinkan terjadinya proses komunikasi yang sebelumnya sulit bahkan tidak mungkin dilakukan.
PT. "XYZ" Group merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang agrobisnis dan telah berdiri sejak tahun 1993. Seiring perkembangan perusahaan yang semakin pesat, penambahan jumlah karyawan, dan kondisi geografis cabang-cabang perusahaan yang tersebar, hal ini membawa kedala dalam proses workflow perusahaan, hal ini juga dikarenakan proses workflow selama ini masih dijalankan secara manual, walaupun fasilitas komputer telah di sediakan, namun dukungan dari aplikasi yang minim membuat proses berlangsung lama dan berlarut-larut. Menjawab hal tersebut perusahaan membentuk satu divisi Informasi Teknologi (IT) untuk menangani masalah pengembangan aplikasi maupun infrastruktur. Dalam pengembangan aplikasi workflow, divisi IT memilih teknologi e-business dan open source, penerapan teknologi e-business dan open source dipilih karena merupakan kebijakan perusahaan, dipandang dari sisi biaya, ketersediaan sumber daya manusia, dan kehandalan teknologi tersebut.

Globalization era demands all organizations, whether they are profit or non-profit oriented to operate efficiently and effectively. The purpose is to increase the quality of the organization, so that it can survive in the competitive environment. The implementation of information technology is one of the best solutions to create, process, store, and distribute information. Information technology also makes possible communications to take place, including those that were previously impossible.
PT "XYZ" group of companies, established since 1993, operates in agribusiness sectors. As the company grows rapidly, employees' total number also increases, distributed across company branches which are geographical spread in many areas. This situation brings problems to the company human resource workflow process. The problems are mainly due to the manual workflow process. Although they have had computer facilities and networking infrastructure support, the support from the application is not enough to speed up the processes. To respond to this situation the company establishes the Information Technology (IT) division to build an application and its infrastructure to automate the HR workflow processes. In developing the workflow application, the IT division uses an e-business approach and open source technology. This technology was chosen according to a company policy that was made based on financial considerations, human resources availability, and technology capability.

"[ABSTRAK
Salah satu bentuk kepatuhan bank umum terhadap regulasi dari Bank Indonesia adalah dengan menyerahkan laporan informasi debiturnya atau laporan SID di setiap bulannya. Laporan ini harus dibuat sesuai dengan pedoman yang ada serta diserahkan tepat waktu atau bank akan mendapat teguran. Berdasarkan data laporan sanksi SID, Bank X diharuskan membayar denda ke Bank Indonesia dikarenakan laporan SID diserahkan tidak tepat waktu dan belum akurat. Untuk mengatasi hal ini maka Bank X hendak memperbaiki sistem pendukung yang menghasilkan laporan tersebut. Berdasarkan alasan tersebut maka pengerjaan karya akhir ini berupaya untuk menggali kebutuhan sistem dengan menggunakan metodologi Rational Unified Process. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini berupa artefak dari workflow requirement yang bisa digunakan untuk perbaikan sistem guna mengatasi permasalahan di laporan SID.

Based on the report data sanctions, Bank X is required to pay fines to Bank Indonesia due SID report is not submitted on time and not accurate. To overcome this, the Bank X was about to fix the support system that produced the report. Based on these reasons, the workmanship of this thesis seeks to explore the needs of the system by using the Rational Unified Process methodology.
