...... Yasukuni Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Tokyo. In World War II, it was believed that Yasukuni shrine had an important role in building morale both military and civilian. This shrine is also believed as a symbol of devotion to the Emperor. Regarding its role as a symbol of devotion to the emperor, this shrine is considered controversial because it is believed as a representation of Shinto State ideology (Kokka Shinto). Visiting the shrine is considered glorifying Japanese military history  because in Yasukuni shrine there’s 14 class A war criminals enshrined. Legitimizing history and ignoring the crimes that the Japanese military had committed was an act of revising history or historical revisionism. The Prime Minister's visit to Yasukuni shrine has always drawn criticism from other countries, especially China and South Korea, the two countries that have been occupied by Japan. Although this shrine has a lot of controversy, some Japanese Prime Ministers still visit this shrine, including Shinzo Abe who is known as a revisionist. This research aims to find out the reason Abe visited Yasukuni and revealed the implications received by Japan because of Abe's revisionist attitude. Historical Revisionism theory is used to express Abe's political attitudes. This research is an analytical descriptive study that uses a literature study procedure. Through this research it was found that Abe had good political stability and revisionist thoughts so he visited the shrine. The factor of Abe's visit to Yasukuni caused Japan's diplomatic space with China and Korea to be limited throughout 2014.
