"Permasalahan terhadap standar yang dibebankan kepada perempuan masih kerap terjadi dan dialami banyak perempuan di dunia. Salah satunya standar menjadi Ibu yang baik. Konsep motherhood ini telah menciptakan berbagai standar bahwa ibu yang baik adalah ibu yang memenuhi konsep tersebut. Ada beberapa tindakan dan perilaku yang dianggap menggambarkan kepribadian seorang perempuan, sebagai ibu yang memiliki konsep keibuan dengan baik. Sebagai representasi dari dunia nyata, beberapa film mengusung konsep tersebut ke dalam filmnya. Salah satunya film besutan negara Jerman berjudul “Blood Red Sky” yang bercerita tentang pembajakan pesawat dan konflik adanya vampir di dalam pesawat tersebut. Di tengah konflik adanya vampir dan pembajakan, terdapat cerita tentang perjuangan seorang ibu dalam melindungi anaknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan teori semiotika Roland Barthes untuk menganalisis lebih dalam terkait beberapa hal yang menunjukkan adanya konsep keibuan dalam film tersebut. Fokus penelitian ini terletak pada bentuk-bentuk konsep perlindungan seorang ibu terhadap anaknya, dan usaha-usaha seorang ibu dalam menekan ego dari dirinya untuk melindungi anaknya. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan konsep keibuan yang ditampilkan dalam film dan usaha seorang ibu dalam menjaga anaknya.

The problem with standard that was given to women is still commonly happening and experienced by many women in the world. One of them being the standard of being a good mother. The motherhood concept itself has created many standard that a good mother is a mother who fulfills those standard. There are some actions and mannerism that was believed to be representation of how a good woman should act as a good mother. As a representation of real world, some films director took these concepts into their films. One of those films is a german-produced film titled 'Blood Red Sky', that tells us a story about a plane hijacking and a vampire problem that ensues while that happens. Between those two things, there is also a plotline of a mother's attempt to protect her child no matter what. This research is done with the qualitative method using Roland Barthes' theory of semiotics. This Research focus on the many concept of a mother's protection towards her child and the struggles of a mother to push away her own ego to protect her child. This research will show the Motherhood concept and how it is portrayed in this film as well as how a mother struggles to keep her child safe."

"ABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas penggambaran dominasi tokoh Ibu dan gugatan yang terdapat dalam film J`ai Tué Ma Mère karya Xavier Dolan melalui aspek naratif dan sinematografis film. Analisis yang dibuat didukung dengan konsep kekuasaan Michel Foucault untuk melihat bentuk dominasi sosok ibu yang terjadi dalam film. Kekuasaan merupakan landasan dari terbentuknya dominasi yang menimbulkan adanya represi terhadap orang lain, termasuk di dalam lingkup keluarga. Hasil analisis melalui aspek naratif dan sinematografis film menunjukkan bahwa dominasi terbentuk akibat adanya kegagalan komunikasi yang terjalin antartokoh dan menyebabkan terbentuknya resistensi yang dilakukan oleh tokoh yang terdominasi, dalam hal ini tokoh anak laki-laki. Kekuasaan dan dominasi sosok ibu yang sangat besar dalam kehidupan tokoh anak laki-laki tersebut menyebabkan masalah dan konflik yang terjadi diantara keduanya, sehingga hal tersebut menimbulkan jarak dalam hubungan antara ibu dan anak. Resistensi yang dilakukan oleh tokoh yang terdominasi bertujuan untuk menggugat kekuasaan atas dominasi yang diterimanya. Dominasi yang ada juga diperkuat oleh faktor budaya matriarkal di dalam budaya masyarakat Qu ? bec yang merupakan latar dalam film J`ai Tué Ma Mère

ABSTRACTThis article discusses the depiction of Mother domination and the lawsuit contained in J`ai Tué Ma Mère by Xavier Dolan through the narrative and cinematographic aspects of the film. The analysis made is supported by the concept of power by Michel Foucault to see the form of dominance of the mother figure that occurs in the film. Power is the cornerstone of the formation of dominance that gives rise to repression against others, including within the family. The results of the analysis through the narrative and cinematographic aspects of the film show that the dominance is formed due to communication failure that exists between forces and causes the formation of resistance by dominated figures, in this case is figure of a son. The very great power and dominance of mother figure in the life of the son causes problems and conflicts between them, thus causing distance in the relationship between mother and child. Resistance by dominated figure aims to sue power over domination that he recieves . The dominance is also reinforced by matriarchal cultural factors within the culture of the Qu ? bec community which is the setting in the film J`ai Tué Ma Mère"

"The Little Prince 2005 , film animasi anak yang diadaptasi dari novel Perancis dengan judul yang sama yang ditulis oleh Antoine de Saint-Exup ry, menceritakan tentang hubungan Little Girl dengan ibu tunggalnya, Mother, dan tetangganya yang bijaksana, Aviator. Film ini dapat dijadikan korpus analisis untuk mengeksplor stereotip gender dalam studi gender, khususnya dalam stereotip terhadap ibu dalam pandangan patriarki. Walaupun beberapa studi tentang pencarian jati diri dan identitas dalam novel dan ulasan-ulasan dalam film adaptasinya sudah dibuat, studi terhadap isu gender belum pernah dilakukan. Dengan menggunakan ide dari De Beauvoir tentang ibu dalam pandangan patriarki dan stereotip umum terhadap ibu oleh Green, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri bagaimana penokohan dari Mother mengikuti stereotip gender terhadap ibu dalam pandangan patriarki dari adaptasi film ini.

The Little Prince 2015 , a children animated film adapted from the French novel with the same name written by Antoine de Saint-Exup ry, talks about the Little Girl rsquo;s relationship with her single mother, the Mother, and her wise neighbor, the Aviator. This film could be taken as a corpus of analysis to explore gender stereotype in gender studies, specifically on stereotypes towards motherhood in patriarchal view. While several studies on identity and self-discovery on the novel and film reviews on the film adaptation have been conducted, studies on gender issues have not been found. By using De Beauvoir rsquo;s idea of motherhood in patriarchy and Green rsquo;s general stereotypes toward the mother, this paper intends to discover how characterization of the Mother follows the gender stereotype of motherhood in patriarchy from the film adaptation.
