Abstrak :
Pada era globalisasi sekarang ini, industri pariwisata menjadi salah satu sektor yang maju dengan pesat. Indonesia merupakan negara terluas di Asia Tenggara dengan potensi pariwisata yang luar biasa. Dalam rangka menghadapi MEA (Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN) pada sektor pariwisata, dalam tesis ini secara lebih spesifik menganalisis pengaruh beberapa variabel yang dipilih yaitu, seberapa besar pengaruh pengeluaran peruntukkan pariwisata yang dialokasikan dalam APBD, kualitas sumber daya manusia yang tercermin pada IPM (Indeks Pembangunan Manusia), akomodasi hotel, harga yang dilihat dari nilai tukar atau kurs, infrastruktur listrik atau konsumsi energi, PDB negara mitra utama pariwisata, dan kedatangan wisatawan asing di ASEAN dibandingkan terhadap jumlah kunjungan wisatawan asing ke Indonesia. Dalam tesis ini, metodologi yang digunakan adalah uji regresi data panel, yaitu dengan menggunakan Pooled Least Square (PLS), Fixed Effect Model (FEM) dan Random Effect Model (REM) yang ditentukan berdasarkan hasil Chow Test dan Hausman test. Pada kesimpulan ditunjukan HDI dan Hotel merupakan variabel yang signifikan dan direkomendasikan untuk pemerintah agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas SDM pariwisata atau pun SDM pemerintah sebagai pemegang kebijakan pariwisata selain itu direkomendasikan untuk pemerintah pusat dan daerah agar dapat meningkatkan investasi hotel berkualitas di daerah dan juga meningkatkan promosi pariwisata ke luar negeri. ...... In the current era of globalization, the tourism industry became one of the sectors that thrive. Indonesia is the largest country in Southeast Asia with tremendous tourism potential. In order to face AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) in the tourism sector, in this thesis gives the analysis of the influence of several variables selected, namely, the allocated of budget planned by province government for tourism sector, the quality of human resources as reflected in HDI (Human Development Index), hotel accommodation, the exchange rate, electrical infrastructure or energy consumption, GDP of the main country tourist origin, the foreign tourist arrivals in ASEAN compare to the number of visits of foreign tourists to Indonesia. The methodology using in this thesis is panel data regression test, using Pooled Least Square (PLS), Fixed Effect Model (FEM) and Random Effects Model (REM) is determined based on the results of Chow Test and Hausman test. At the conclusion indicated that HDI and Hotel is a significant variable and recommended to the government to improve the quality of tourism human resources or human resources of the government as tourism policy holder other than that recommended for the central and local governments to improve investment in hotels in the area and also increase tourism promotion abroad.

Abstrak :
Kondisi perbankan Indonesia yang terdiri dari berbagai karakteristik memiliki perilaku yang berbeda. Salah satu perilaku yang dihipotesakan berbeda adalah pengaruh kepemilikan terhadap profitabilitas bank. Kajian ini mencoba melihat lebih dalam determinan profitabilitas bank baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal.Penelitian ini mengelompokkan bank menjadi 2 kelompok besar, yaitu bank asing dan bank lokal. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 bank asing dan 95 bank lokal, dalam kurun waktu 2004 ndash; 2013. Untuk menganalisis adanya pengaruh status kepemilikan terhadap profitabilitas, penulis menggunakan pendekatan ekonometri analisis data panel.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kepemilikan bank berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap profitabilitas bank. Pengaruh antara keduanya tidak secara langsung, melainkan melalui kegiatan operasional bank, dimana bank asing dan bank lokal memiliki perbedaan perilaku dalam hal hubungan rasio NPL, rasio interest income share, rasio funding cost dan real GDP terhadap profitabilitas bank. ......Having different characteristics of banks, Indonesian banks have different behaviour between the groups. Different ownership is hypothesised to have impact on profitability. Previous studies on Indonesian banking system have proved this phenomenon, while here we try to do deeper analysis based on internal factor and external factor.In this study, we grouped banks into two big groups foreign banks and local banks. Total sample used in this study consist of 8 foreign banks and 95 local banks, within 2004 ndash 2013. We employ panel data analysis to examine the impact of bank ownership towards profitability.This study conclude that ownership have positive and significant impact on bank rsquo s profitability. Profitability is not directly impacted by ownership, but through bank rsquo s operational activity which we proved that both groups of bank have different behaviour toward bank rsquo s profitability in term of NPL ratio, interest income ratio, funding cost ratio, and real GDP.
