"Latar Belakang: Perkembangan teknologi digital telah diterapkan dalam bidang kedokteran gigi untuk menyederhanakan prosedur rehabilitasi oral. Perkembangan dengan sistem computer aided-design – computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) ini meningkat secara signifikan. Sistem ini menggunakan Intraoral Scanner (IOS) yang memiliki sejumlah keuntungan dan daya tarik yang cukup besar. Alat ini dapat memberikan penentuan kualitas cetakan secara langsung, model pasien tiga dimensi (3D) virtual yang dapat disimpan di dalam komputer tanpa pembuatan model plaster dan dapat digunakan sebagai sarana komunikasi efektif dengan pasien. Suatu perangkat IOS harus memiliki nilai akurasi yang tinggi. Akurasi teridiri dari nilai trueness dan precision. Akurasi cetakan digital ini sangat penting untuk kesesuaian internal restorasi akhir. Pendekatan pengukuran akurasi langsung melalui pengukuran linier dan .analisis perbedaan 3D setelah penyelarasan paling sering digunakan untuk mengevaluasi akurasi. Tujuan: Mengevaluasi perbedaan nilai trueness dan precission dari desain preparasi onlay yang dipindai dengan menggunakan IOS Primescan AC dan Primescan Connect (Denstply, USA). Metode: Model typodont desain preparasi onlay MOD dipindai dengan extraoral scanner (inEos X5, Dentsply Sirona, USA) untuk mendapatkan data referensi. Desain preparasi onlay juga dipindai dengan dua IOS Primescan AC dan Primescan Connect (Denstply, USA) masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 10 kali pengulangan. Akurasi dalam bentuk trueness berupa nilai root mean square dievaluasi dengan membandingkan data pemindaian IOS dengan data referensi. Sementara akurasi dalam bentuk precision dievaluasi dengan membandingkan data pemindaian sesama kelompok IOS dalam kelompok yang sama secara kombinatorik (10C2). Hasil : Tidak terdapat perbedaan nilai akurasi (trueness dan precision) pada desain preparasi onlay yang dipindai dengan menggunakan IOS Primescan AC dan Primescan Connect. Kesimpulan: Nilai trueness dan precision pada pemindaian dengan menggunakan IOS Primescan AC dan Primescan Connect dapat dipegaruhi oleh spesifikasi komputer masing-masing IOS dan teknologi optik pada scanner itu sendiri.
Background: : The development of digital technology has been applied in dentistry to simplify oral rehabilitation procedures. The development of computer-aided design – computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) systems has increased significantly. These systems can utilize an Intraoral Scanner (IOS) which has a number of advantages and considerable appeal. It can provide immediate determination of mold quality, virtual three-dimensional (3D) patient models, can be stored in the computer without the creation of plaster models and can be used as a means of effective communication with the patient. An IOS device must have a high accuracy value. Accuracy consists of trueness and precision. The accuracy of the digital impression is very important for the internal fit of the final restoration. Direct accuracy measurement approaches through linear measurements and 3D difference analysis after alignment are most commonly used to evaluate accuracy. Methods : To evaluate the differences in trueness and precission values of onlay preparation designs scanned using IOS Primescan AC and Primescan Connect (Denstply, USA). The MOD onlay preparation design typodont model was scanned with an extraoral scanner (inEos X5, Dentsply Sirona, USA) to obtain reference data. The onlay preparation design was also scanned with two IOS Primescan AC and Primescan Connect (Denstply, USA) in each group for 10 repetitions. Accuracy in the form of trueness in the form of root mean square value was evaluated by comparing the IOS scan data with the reference data. Meanwhile, accuracy in the form of precision was evaluated by comparing the scan data of fellow IOS groups within the same group combinatorically (10C2). Results: There was no difference in the accuracy values (trueness and precision) of onlay preparation designs scanned using the Primescan AC and Primescan Connect IOS. Conclusion: The trueness and precision values on scanning using IOS Primescan AC and Primescan Connect can be influenced by the computer specifications of each IOS and the optical technology on the scanner itself."
