"Tesis ini membahas Determinan Jenis Diversifikasi dan Pengaruhnya terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan pada lingkup Perusahaan Tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif perusahaan public selama periode tahun 2009-2013, yang ditentukan melalui metode purposive sampling dalam pengambilan sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan antara diversifikasi dengan kinerja perusahaan. Diversifikasi dengan jenis diversifikasi related diversification mempunyai pengaruh positifter hadap kinerja perusahaan, sedangkan unrelated diversification berpengaruh negatif. Hal yang mempengaruhi diversifikasi dipertimbangkan melalui Growth Opportinities dan financial strength perusahaan, dimana growth opportunities mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap diversifikasi, dibandingkan dengan Financial Strength perusahaan. ......This thesis discusses about the determinantof Type of Diversification and it's Effect to Firm Performance. In the scope of the Listed Company in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study is a quantitative study that used public company financial report's data for the period 2009-2013, which is determined through purposive sampling method. The study states that there is a significant positive influence on the diversification to firm performance. Type of related diversificationhas significant positive influence to firm performance neither to unrelated diversification.Growth Opportunitiesthat has a significant influence to diversification, neither to financial strength."
