"The following independent study paper will present an overview of the car industry in France
(Europe) and South Korea (Asia) for the United States of America car industry. It will focus
upon the historical background, and facts regarding several macroeconomic conditions, market
conditions and socio-cultural conditions. The author chose France and South Korea, because
both of them have appeared to have a good surface level for doing a foreign business for the US
car Industry to open up their new production there. This paper used a literature review based on
google scholars and the government's website. According to the Korea Automobile
Manufacturers Association (KAMA) automobile output from Korea totaled 3,506.848 units in
2020, down 11.2 percent from 2020. Despite the fall in production, the country's overall auto
output ranking moved up two notes from 2020. Car Production in France decreased to 1316371
Units (1316,371 K Units) in 2020. The maximum volume was 3701870 Units and minimum was
1316371 Units. Based upon the information gathered in this paper, South Korea has overall
better conditions for US production and market seeking firms, compared to France, due to the
historical background within the automotive industry, as well as the historical relations with the
United States could support the choice for South Korea for investment opportunities, and so does
the potential for future innovation capabilities of the region
."

"ABSTRAK
Generasi Sampo merupakan salah satu istilah yang muncul pada awal 2010an untuk menggambarkan keadaan masyarakat usia dewasa muda dalam periode tersebut. Istilah ini menunjukkan adanya masyarakat yang menyerah untuk memiliki kekasih, menikah, dan memiliki anak yang disebabkan oleh satu dan lain hal. Padahal, ketiganya merupakan hal yang dipikirkan dan dilakukan oleh manusia sejak dahulu. Pandangan mereka mulai berubah karena adanya berbagai masalah yang dihadapi, tingginya standar hidup, dan gaya hidup masyarakat modern di Korea Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui asal mula Generasi Sampo dan memaknainya dikaitkan dengan gaya hidup masyarakat Korea Selatan modern. Karya tulis ini disusun dengan metode deskriptif analisis untuk menjelaskan munculnya Generasi Sampo sebagai sebuah fenomena sosial di Korea Selatan. Setelah dilakukan analisis, ditemukan bahwa fenomena ini terjadi karena adanya impitan ekonomi dan gaya hidup masyarakat modern Korea Selatan.

ABSTRACT
Sampo Generation is a term that appeared in early 2010s to depict young adults at that time. This term shows that there are some people who give up on having a romantic partner, be married, and having children because of some circumstances even though this practice had been done since long time ago. Their views about it had been change because of problems they faced, high standard of living, and lifestyle that the modern society take. This research was conducted to find out the origin of Sampo Generation and to comprehend it after associating this phenomenon with the lifestyle of South Korean modern society. This paper is written based on descriptive analysis method to explain how Sampo Generation emerged as a social phenomenon in South Korea. After a thorough analysis, the authors discovered that this phenomenon happened because of economical stress and lifestyles that the South Korean modern society faced."

"ABSTRAK
Budaya kolektif sudah menjadi bagian dalam kehidupan masyarakat Korea Selatan. Ini ditunjukkan dalam proses adaptasi mereka di Bali. Adaptasi tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh alasan dan strategi yang berbeda-beda. Strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan terbagi ke dalam tiga dimensi diantaranya adaptasi budaya (akulturasi), adaptasi sosial (asimilasi), dan adaptasi ekonomi. Rumusan masalah dalam penulisan ini yaitu bagaimana bentuk strategi adaptasi orang Korea di Bali. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam (depth interview) dengan informan orang Korea yang memiliki latar belakang bisnis pariwisata yang berbeda. Melalui penulisan ini ditemukan bahwa orang Korea di Bali mempertahankan nilai-nilai budayanya dan mampu beradaptasi dengan baik sehingga mereka bertahan hidup dalam kelompoknya. Dari tiga dimensi adaptasi yang digunakan dalam penulisan, adaptasi budaya dengan budaya kolektif menjadi faktor utama yang merujuk pada strategi adaptasi orang Korea di Bali. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa adaptasi sosial dan adaptasi ekonomi perannya tidak sedalam dan seintens adaptasi budaya bagi orang Korea dalam kesehariannya tinggal di Bali.

ABSTRACT
Collective culture has become a part of South Koreas life. This is shown in the process of their adaptation in Bali. The adaptation is motivated by different reasons and strategies. The adaptation strategy is divided into three dimensions including cultural adaptation (acculturation), social adaptation (assimilation), and economic adaptation. The formulation of this paper is how to form a strategy for the adaptation of Koreans in Bali. The research method used in this writing is qualitative method with depth interview techniques with Korean informants who have different tourism business backgrounds. Through this writing it was found that Koreans in Bali maintain their cultural values and are able to adapt well so that they survive in groups. Of the three dimensions of adaptation used in this paper, cultural adaptation of collective culture is the main factor that refers to Korean adaptation strategies in Bali. The results of this paper shows that social adaptation and economic adaptation are not as deep and as intensive as cultural adaptation for Koreans in their daily lives in Bali."
