Abstrak :
Skripsi ini membahas tentang fenomena kemunculan vehicle party di Indonesia pasca dilakukannya amandemen UUD 1945. Adanya perubahan konstitusi dalam hal pemilihan umum secara langsung, telah memberikan celah bagi kalangan elit-elit politik membentuk partai sebagai kendaraan untuk menjadi presiden. Hal ini yang dilakukan oleh Prabowo Subianto saat memutuskan diri untuk keluar dari Partai Golkar dan membentuk Partai Gerindra di tahun 2008. Adapun karakter yang dimiliki oleh Partai Gerindra ialah bersifat sentralistis dan memusatkan kekuasaan kepada sosok personal Prabowo Subianto. Lebih spesifik lagi, skripsi ini berusaha melihat karakter Partai Gerindra sebagai partai kendaraan Prabowo Subianto dalam kasus pencalonan kepala daerah, khususnya pada Pemilukada Kota Depok tahun 2015. Proses terbentuknya koalisi Gerindra-PKS hingga penentuan nama calon walikota, tidak memperlihatkan adanya otonomi yang dimiliki oleh Partai Gerindra. Melalui metode kualitatif, penelitian ini mengangkat kasus mengalahnya Gerindra terhadap PKS dalam mencalonkan kadernya sebagai calon Walikota Depok. Penulis menggunakan teori Andreas Ufen 2017 untuk membuktikan bahwa pengorganisasian partai kendaraan memang ditujukan untuk memenangkan sosok pendiri partai sebagai presiden. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pencalonan yang dilakukan oleh Partai Gerindra menjadi perwujudan perkembangan karakter partai kendaraan di Indonesia. Konteks teori yang dipakai ternyata juga mencakupi studi kasus yang terjadi di level daerah. Mengalahnya Partai Gerindra terhadap PKS diindikasikan karena kepentingan Prabowo Subianto terhadap PKS menjelang pencalonan dirinya pada pemilihan presiden tahun 2019. ......This thesis discusses the phenomenon of vehicle party emergence in Indonesia after the amendment of UUD 1945. The existence of constitutional changes in the case of direct elections has provided a gap for political elites to form parties as vehicles to become president. This is happened to Prabowo Subianto when deciding to get out of Golkar Party and form Gerindra Party in 2008. The character owned by Gerindra Party is centralized and concentrate power to Prabowo Subianto personal figure. More specifically, this thesis seeks to see the character of Gerindra Party as the vehicle party of Prabowo Subianto in the case of the nomination of the regional head, especially in regional head election of Depok City in 2015. The process of forming the Gerindra PKS coalition up to the decision of the mayor rsquo s name, does not show any autonomy possessed by the Gerindra Party. Through qualitative method, this research appoints Gerindra Party has been succumb to PKS in nominating its cadres as Depok Mayor candidate. The author uses the theory of Andreas Ufen 2017 to prove that the party organization of the vehicle is intended to win the figure of the party founder as president. The results of this study indicate that the candidacy made by Gerindra Party becomes the embodiment of the character development of vehicle party in Indonesia. The context of the theory used also includes case studies that occur at the regional level. The decision of Gerindra Party succumb to PKS is indicated by Prabowo Subianto 39 s interest in PKS approaching to his presidential election in 2019.

Penelitian ini membahas tentang perubahan sikap Partai Gerindra dalam proses pengisian posisi Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta pengganti Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno pada tahun 2018-2020. Perspektif teoritis yang digunakan adalah teori pilihan rasional dan teori office seeking. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data primer yang diperoleh dari proses wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa perubahan sikap Partai Gerindra dalam proses pengisian posisi Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta pengganti Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno tahun 2018-2020 disebabkan oleh dua hal. Pertama, adanya kecenderungan pilihan rasional dalam sikap Partai Gerindra dan PKS yang dilihat dari sikap Partai Gerindra yang menyetujui persyaratan yang diajukan oleh PKS mengenai posisi Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta demi memperoleh rekomendasi dukungan untuk paslon Prabowo-Sandi di pilpres 2019. Di sisi lain, PKS mengajukan persyaratan agar posisi Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta yang kosong dapat diisi oleh kadernya sebagai pengganti dari posisi cawapres dan sebagai timbal balik atas rekomendasi dukungan yang diberikan di pilpres 2019. Kedua, adanya kecenderungan office seeking dari kedua partai politik yang bersaing dalam memperebutkan posisi Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta yang kosong terutama yang ditunjukkan oleh Partai Gerindra yang berhasil menjadikan kadernya sebagai Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta terpilih hingga sisa masa jabatan periode 2017-2022 berakhir. ......This research is explained about the change in the attitude of the Gerindra Party in the process of filling the position of Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta to replace Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno in 2018-2020. The theoretical perspectives used are rational choice theory and office seeking theory. This study uses qualitative methods with primary data collection techniques obtained from in-depth interviews. This study found that the change in the attitude of the Gerindra Party in the process of filling the position of Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta to replace Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno in 2018-2020 was caused by two things. First, there is a tendency of rational choice in the attitude of the Gerindra Party and PKS as seen from the attitude of the Gerindra Party which agreed to the conditions proposed by PKS regarding the position of Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta in order to obtain a recommendation for support for the Prabowo-Sandi candidate in the 2019 presidential election. On the other hand, PKS proposed the requirements for the vacant position of Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta to be filled by its cadres as a substitute for the position of cawapres and in return for the recommendations for support given in the 2019 presidential election. Second, there is a tendency for office seeking from both political parties to compete for the position of Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta. vacancies, especially those shown by the Gerindra Party, which succeeded in making its cadres as Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta elected until the remaining term of office for the 2017-2022 period ended.

Abstrak :
Tesis ini menganalisis pengaruh dari penggunaan seorang tokoh dalam sebuah iklan politik partai dan pengaruhnya pada keinginan memilih terhadap partai tersebut. Penelitian diuji kepada 150 orang yang sudah memiliki hak untuk memilih pada pemilu legislative. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapat bahwa penggunaan kedua tokoh ini didalam iklan partai berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keinginan memilih terhadap partai yang diiklankan. Pengaruh signifikan merupakan kelanjutan dari pengaruh signifikan penggunaan tokoh tersebut dalam iklan terhadap brand attitude dan attitude toward ad. Dengan tingkat-rata-rata signifikansi pengaruh yang lebih besar pada sosok SBY dibandingkan dengan Prabowo Subianto. ......This study is discussing about the usage of an endorser in a political party’s advertising in television and its causality of intention to vote to the party. Based on 150 respondents that has the right to be the voters. From this study, there is a conclusion that the usage of an endorser is significance relate to intention to vote of the party. This significance influence is a consequence from the significance relations between the sourcc of thought to brand attitude and attitude toward ad. With a a resuls of higher average reslult in the usage of SBY compare to Prabowo Subianto.
