Tujuan dari tesis ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses peredaan ketegangan yang terjadi di Semenanjung Korea antara Korea Utara dengan Korea Selatan dalam kurun waktu 2000-2002. Proses peredaan ketegangan terjadi diwarnai oleh berbagai macam aktifitas kedua negara, baik yang bersifat resistensi maupun diplomatis. Kedua negara dapat dikatakan memiliki niat untuk melakukan rekonsiliasi dan berupaya menciptakan reunifikasi diantara keduanya. Terbukti dengan kemauan dua negara yang telah lama bertikai tersebut untuk memikirkan masa depan mereka melalui berbagai macam pertemuan. Dengan menempatkan pola dari perspektif konstruktivis, penelitian ini berhasil memunculkan agen, struktur, identity, interest dan behavior sebagai bagian-bagian penting dalam penerapan konstruktivis pada studi kasus konflik antara dua negara saudara yang bertikai dan terpisah oleh tirai ideologi. Pada penelitian ini juga digunakan metode case study dengan melihat konflik Korea Utara dan Korea Selatan di Semenanjung Korea sebagai obyek penelitian. Selain itu, penggunaan Historical Perspective-Research juga digunakan untuk membantu melakukan analisa dan kritik serta menyatukan urutan kejadian atau peristiwa yang terjadi di Korea Utara dan Korea Selatan.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this thesis is to find out the de-escalation of tension process that occured between North and South Korea in the Korean Peninsula during the period of 2000-2002. The process was marked by a variety of activities from the two countries, including resistance and diplomacy. The two countries can be said to have intention to do the reconcil and towards reunification. This is shown by the two conflicting countries willingness to consider their future through various meetings. By placing the pattern of constructivist perspective, this research successfully brought agency, structure, identity, interest and behaviour as an important parts in the implementation of constructivism on the case study of two sibling states locked in conflict and separated by ideological curtains. This research used case study methods which oversew the phenomena, situation and condition in the Korean Peninsula. This thesis also used a Historical Perspective-Research method to give some analized the historical background and the chronology of events in both countries.

Tujuan dari tesis ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses peredaan ketegangan yang terjadi antara Republik Kroasia dan Republik Serbia selama periode 2010-2013. Ketegangan bermula dari ketegangan etnis Kroasia dan Serbia yang sudah terjadi semenjak kedua negara berada di bawah Republik Sosialis Federal Yugoslavia. Proses peredaan kedua negara kemudian menjadi semakin tampak dengan adanya Uni Eropa sebagai institusi supranasional yang mengharuskan negara anggota maupun kandidat negara anggota mengikuti proses Eropanisasi. Dengan menggunakan pola dari perspektif konstruktivis, penelitian ini berhasil memunculkan pola kebijakan luar negeri, identitas nasional, dan kepentingan nasional sebagai bagian-bagian penting dalam penerapan konsep konstruktivis dalam analisis penelitian ini. Penelitian ini juga berhasil memunculkan konsep mentalite untuk melihat hasil dari seperangkat persyaratan keanggotaan Uni Eropa terhadap proses peredaan ketegangan kedua negara. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan melihat ketegangan Kroasia dan Serbia sebagai objek penelitian. The aim of this thesis is to determine the de-escalation process of tensions between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Serbia, for the 2010-2013 period. The tension stems from Croatian and Serbian ethnic tensions that have occurred since both countries are parts of the Republic of Yugoslavia. The de-escalation process has become more obvious with the European Union, as a supranational entity, that requires member states and candidate countries to follow the process of Europeanization. By using patterns from a constructivist perspective, this thesis successfully gave rise to foreign policy, national identity and national interests as important parts in the application of constructivist concept in this research. This research also raises the concept of mentalite, particularly in seeing the results of EU's requirements towards the tensions of Croatia and Serbia. The method use in this study is case study method, with Croatia and Serbia's de-escalation process of tensions as the object of research. The use of historical content analysis is also used for analyzing.
