"Higher education institutions have missions and visions to carry out, that it is a place to educate society. In their daily academic operations, a higher education institution operating in the competitive environment needs Information Systems/Information Technology to support its success.
The right use of Information Systems/Information Technology can create new opportunities for learning facilities in higher education institution, so that higher education institution could provide knowledge and information for their students, either with classical classroom teaching method, or with internet technology to transfer courses material.
ABFI is a higher education institution that is being established from a merger of two existing institutes, STIE Perbanas and STIMIK Perbanas. With this merger, the challenge of using Information Systems/Information Technology is to make strategic planning for Information Systems/Information Technology which in alignment with business objectives from the new institution (ABFI).
The purpose of this research is to make an Information Systems/Information Technology Plan that will assist in achieving the ABFI mission and vision so that the ongoing investment for Information Systems/Information Technology will be optimal."
