This study describes how the presence of public art works in real estate environment can support the success of the developer. Although the success of the development is determined by various other factors, the research is focused on the presence of the artwork in relation to the perception of the users. The study begins with the discussion on the presence of art work in public area and the role of art work in developing positive character, emotion and social value for the society. In particular the study found that the presence of art work in public area can add positive value to the housing and eventually raise the market value of the housing. The main finding of this study is on the importance of the presence of art work from the consumers? point of view.
