"Paper ini bertujuan untuk meneliti tentang beberapa determinan dari pertumbuhanpendapatan perkapita 34 provinsi di Indonesia serta melihat apakah terjadi kondisidimana pertumbuhan pendapatan perkapita antarprovinsi mengalami konvergensi.Penelitian ini menggunakan model conditional convergence yang berdasar pada teoripertumbuhan Solow untuk meneliti mengenai pengaruh beberapa determinanpertumbuhan pendapatan pada nilai pendapatan perkapita antarprovinsi sepanjang tahunobservasi yaitu 1998-2018. Metode estimasi yang digunakan adalah panel data. Denganadanya lag dari variabel dependen, menimbulka masalah endogeneity. Metode panel datadinamis dalam hal ini adalah GMM System digunakan agar hasil tidak bias. Hasil estimasimenunjukkan bahwa variabel yang dapat menjadi determinan dari pertumbuhanpendapatan berdasarkan model Solow yakni investasi dan human capital signifikanmempengaruhi nilai pendapatan perkapita 34 provinsi di Indonesia. Selain itu hasilestimasi juga menunjukkan bahwa terlihat adanya kecenderungan bahwa pertumbuhanpendapatan perkapita diantara 34 provinsi akan konvergensi meskipun dalam rate yangcukup kecil yakni 2,5% atau half-life 28,8 tahun. Jadi, dibutuhkan waktu 28,8 tahun untukmenghilangkan setengah angka perbedaan pertumbuhan yang ada antara 34 provinsi diIndonesia.......This paper aim to observe several determinant of economic growth and see whether thegrowth of income among the 34 provinces in Indonesia is converging or diverging. Thisresearch is using conditional convergence model that based from Solow growth model tofind out the impact of several determinant of economic growth to income, also to seewhether the growth among provinces is converging or diverging on the period ofobservation 1998-2018. The lag of dependent variable in the model caused endogeneityproblem. Dynamic panel data method (GMM-System) used to estimate the result so thatthe result is not biased. Estimated using dynamic panel data method, results show thatdeterminants of economic growth based on Solow model such as investment and humancapital is significant affecting the number of GDRP of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Theresult shows that the growth among 34 provinces is converge although it is at a smallrate, that is 2,5% or equal to half life 28,8 years. So, it took 28,8 years to eliminate halfof the difference in growth numbers between 34 provinces in Indonesia."

"AbstractEconomic and political systems might have a great share in determining the speed of the economic growth in an economy. Majority of the researchs in the past relied on physical input accumulation in determining economic growth, without taking into account the contribution of institutional characteristics. This research is aimed to test the hypothesis that economic freedom and political system affect the economic growth. Using panel data method (pooled least square approach) in eight ASEAN countries during the period of 1997-2007 and based on a framework of Solow economic growth model, it is showed that the more free and efficient economy leads to faster economic growth, and political democracy can otherwise hinder economic growth. Economy can grow higher if public policies are directed to the creation of: a stable monetary conditions, a more efficient in intermediation of financial markets, appropriate public budget policy, straightforward and efficient regulations, corruption eradication, as well as lower taxes. Nevertheless the index of investment freedom and property rights are far away from the behaviors of existing theories and hypothesis, so further research is needed."
