Fath al-Rahman (W9 code as in the National Library) is a translation from Arabic to Malay language. It is the work of Zakariyya al-Ansari, who became the inspiration for the writing of Malay Sufi from the 17th century to the 19th century. This research aims to analyze the von de Wall text kept at the National Library in Jakarta. The text was completed in 1280 H or in 1863 M in Tanjung Pinang, Riau. This text discusses Sufism, which believes in maqamat, eternity, syariat, tarikat, and hakikat. This thesis argues that contain sufi, teachings to direct one's life towards eternity based on Koran and hadits. The thesis compares Sufism in Fath al-Rahman to Kitab Patahulrahman. The result of the research shows some similarities and differences. The similarities lie on the discussion of the eternity issue referring to syar'i teaching. The difference is on the focus of the narrative. Fath al Rahman basically describes the way of shaping good morale and spiritual guidance based on syar'i teaching, while the text of Kitab Paturahman elaborates the universe creation based on the teaching of Ibn Arabi who followed falsafi teaching.
