Abstrak :
Indonesian government simultaneously improves access to and quality of education for all citizens. Although its efforts had noticeable impact, many of the target to improve access to and quality of education nevertheless still have not been archived and education inequality is still persistent. Using a multi level multi-resource framework, this, this article comprehend some of the mechanisms behind the unequal access to and quality of education. It suggests that the impact of and interplays between human,social, economic, political, and infrastructural capital at the Individual, household, school, community and government level are important on inequality in access to and quality of education in Indonesia. For Instance, family factors, such as wealth, education investment and educational background also reduce the likelihood that children to preschool as a within level cross resource effect; living in a higher trust strengthen the effect of association on preschool participation as a between level single resource effect; residing in urban area reinforces the effect of associations but it weaken the effect of reciprocity on preschool participation as a between level cross resource effect consists in urbanization. In terms of decentralization, the length of schooling slightly increased but progress in the length of schooling slightly decreased after decentralization; even through student achievement and achievement gaps are strongly determined by student and family characteristic, the results show that differences between school tracks and streams also play an important role.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti dampak pendidikan pada kinerja perekonomian daerah. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data panel dari 30 provinsi di Indonesia selama periode 2005-2015. Hasil perhitungan statistic menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan tingkat dasar, yang telah menjadi atribut universal bagi penduduk Indonesia, tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan perekonomian daerah. Sebaliknya, terdapat cukup bukti yang mendukung hubungan antara pendidikan menengah dan pendidikan tinggi terhadap perekonomian daerah. Lebih lanjut, kami menggunakan statistic deskriptif untuk menganalisa data survey tenaga kerja tahunan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perubahan struktur tenaga kerja yang dikarenakan meningkatnya capaian pendidikan masyarakat. Selain itu, dengan menganalisa waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan dan celah upah, kami menemukan bukti awal adanya skill-missmatched di pasar tenaga kerja.
The study aims to investigate the impact of education to regional economic performance. The study utilize a panel dataset of 30 provinces in Indonesia over the period 2005–2015. The estimation result shows that primary education level, that has become universal attribute to Indonesian, is not statistically significant to regional performance. In contrast, there is a positive and significant evidence of the impact of secondary education and tertiary education levels to the economic performance. Furthermore, we also employ a descriptive statistics to the annual labor survey dataset to gain a deeper understanding on the impact of education to the regional economy through the response of Indonesia's labor market. The results reveal that there are shifts in the structure of labor force due to change on labor's education attainment. Also, looking at the wage gap between the education levels and the time needed to find a job, we find that there is a subtle evidence of skill mismatched in the labor market.

ABSTRAK
Pembangunan adalah upaya membangun masyarakat secara terencana dan berkelanjutan dengan memanfaatkan seluruh potensi sumber daya, baik sumber daya alam ataupun sumber daya manusia. Pembangunan dapat dibagi menjadi dua jenis, yakni: 1 pembangunan fisik mdash;yang bersifat infrastruktur atau prasarana, seperti bangunan fisik atau lembaga yang mempunyai kegiatan produksi, logistik, pemasaran barang dan jasa mdash;dan 2 pembangunan non-fisik dapat juga disebut pembangunan manusia. Dalam penelitian ini, karakteristik wilayah digunakan sebagai pengaruh terhadap pembangunan fisik dan non-fisik dan terbagi atas wilayah urban dan wilayah non-urban. Pembangunan fisik dalam hal ini adalah infrastruktur listrik. Pembangunan manusia adalah kondisi kesehatan dan pendidikan. Untuk melihat infrastruktur listrik digunakan rasio elektrifikasi, sedangkan kondisi kesehatan dan pendidikan dilihat berdasarkan indeks kesehatan dan pendidikan. Indeks kesehatan dibangun atas dasar model determinan kesehatan yang terdiri atas kesehatan perorangan, kesehatan keluarga, kesehatan masyarakat, dan sistem pelayanan kesehatan, sedangkan indeks pendidikan berdasarkan rasio murid ndash; sekolah atau kepadatan sekolah dan perbandingan siswa antar jenjang pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan unit analisis kecamatan dan dilakukan dengan metode analisis spasial Overlay dan Query serta analisis statistik Chi Square. Dari hasil analisis spasial dan statistik didapatkan bahwa tidak terdapat suatu pola tertentu terhadap kondisi kesehatan dan kondisi pendidikan. Selain itu, didapatkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara rasio elektrifikasi dan karakteristik wilayah dengan kondisi kesehatan, namun terdapat hubungan antara rasio elektrifikasi dan karakteristik wilayah dengan kondisi pendidikan.
ABSTRACT
Development is an effort to build a community inan organized and sustainable way with using all the potential resources, such as natural resources or human resources. Development can be divided into two types 1 physical development infrastructure, such as physical buildings or institutions that have production, logistics, goods and services and 2 non physical development or human development. In this research, regional characteristics are used as an influence to physical and non physical development and divided into urban and non urban areas. Physical development is the electricity infrastructure. Human development is the condition of health and education. Electrification ratio is used to see the electrical infrastructure, while health and education conditions are seen based on health and education index. The health index is built on a health determinant model consisting of individual health, family health, public health, and health care systems, while the education index is based on student school ratios or school density and student to school comparisons. This research used the subdistrict as an analysis unit and done by Overlay and Query spatial analysis method and Chi Square statistical analysis method. From the results of spatial and statistical analysis, there is found that no particular pattern of health conditions and educational conditions. In addition, it is found that there is no relation between electrification ratio and regional characteristic with health condition, but there is relation between electrification ratio and regional characteristic with education condition.
