"LATAR BELAKANG: Endometriosis merupakan penyakit ginekologi yang sering ditemukan pada perempuan usia reproduksi. Infertilitas, dismenorea dan nyeri pelvik diluar siklus haid merupakan keluhan utama yang berkaitan dengan endometriosis. Etiopatogenesis endometriosis belum sepenuhnya diketahui, diduga selain teori haid berbalik terdapat faktor genetik yang berperan. Adiponektin merupakan adipokin yang berperan meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin dan kemudian juga diketahui peranannya pada sistem imun yang merupakan inti dari patogenesis endometriosis. Berbagai penelitian menyebutkan hubungan kadar adiponektin serum dan polimorfisme gen adiponektin dengan endometriosis namun belum terdapat penelitian yang menghubungkan variasi genetik reseptor adiponektin dengan endometriosis.
TUJUAN: Mengetahui distribusi SNP 219 gen AdipoR2 pada pasien dengan endometriosis dan tanpa endometriosis dan hubungan SNP 219 gen AdipoR2 terhadap risiko endometriosis
DESAIN DAN METODE: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus kontrol. Kelompok kasus adalah wanita usia reproduksi dengan endometriosis dan kelompok kontrol adalah wanita usia reproduksi tanpa endometriosis. Deteksi SNP 219 gen AdipoR2 dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik PCR-RFLP. Distribusi genotipe pada kedua kelompok dibandingkan.
HASIL: Didapatkan 75 sampel terdiri dari 39 kasus dan 36 kontrol. Pada kelompok kasus didapatkan genotipe A/A pada 7 (18,4%) subyek, A/T pada 24 (63,2%) subyek dan T/T pada 7 (18,4%) subyek. Pada kelompok kontrol didapatkan genotipe A/A 10 (27%) subyek, A/T pada 22 (59,5%) subyek dan T/T pada 5 (13,5%) subyek

BACKGROUND : Endometriosis is one of the most common gynecological disorder found on women in reproductive age. Chief complaints such as infertility, dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain are known to be endometriosis-related. Etiopathogenesis of endometriosis is not fully understood yet, retrograde menstruation is well accepted as etiology of endometriosis, although other factor such as genetic factor may contribute to the pathogenesis of endometriosis. Adiponectin is substance produced by adipocyte tissue which promote insulin sensitivity and scavenger activity which involves in endometriosis pathogenesis. Low adiponectin resulted in insulin resistence which plays a role in endometriosis pathogenesis. Many studies show correlation between level of serum adiponectin and adiponectin gene polymorphism with endometriosis. But there is little evidence on correlation between adiponectin receptor gene polymorphism with endometriosis.
PURPOSE: To know distribution and correlation of SNP 219 adipoR2 gene in patient with endometriosis
DESIGN AND METHOD: This is a case-control study. The case group consist of reproductive age women with endometriosis while the control group consist of reproductive age without endometriosis. Detection of SNP 219 adipoR2 gene was performed using PCR-RFLP technique. Genotype distribution was compared between the two groups.
RESULT: 75 samples were obtained, 39 cases and 36 controls. In cases group A/A genotype was found in 7 (18,4%) subjects, A/T in 24 (63,2%) subjects and T/T in 7 (18,4%) subjects. In control group, A/A genotype was found in 10 (27%) subjects, A/T in 22 (59,5%) subjects and T/T in 5 (13,5%) subjects.
CONCLUSION: No correlation between SNP 219 AdipoR2 gene with risk of endometriosis

"Latar Belakang.
Pengobatan antiretroviral (ARV) di Indonesia, meliputi dua lini. Lini kedua terdiri dari kombinasi dua NRTI (Nucleoside Reverse Trancriptase Inhibitor) dan satu PI (protease inhibitor). Protease inhibitor adalah salah satu ARV yang diketahui dapat menyebabkan lipodistrofi, yang seringkali berkembang mengalami resistensi insulin, dan berhubungan dengan peningkatan risiko kardiovaskular. Peningkatan FFA (free fatty acids) dan TNF-α akibat lipolisis sel lemak pada lipodistrofi, beberapa sitokin yang dilepaskan oleh jaringan lemak (adipokin), seperti leptin dan adiponektin dipikirkan memiliki peran terhadap resistensi insulin. Leptin dan adiponektin memiliki kaitan erat dengan metabolisme glukosa dan sensitivitas insulin.
Tujuan.
Mengetahui korelasi leptin, adiponektin dan rasio leptin-adiponektin dengan HOMA-IR pada pasien HIV/AIDS dalam terapi anti retroviral berbasis inhibitor protease.
Metode.
Studi potong lintang dengan populasi terjangkau adalah pasien HIV/AIDS dewasa yang mendapatkan terapi ARV lini ke dua di RSUPN Cipto Mangunkusumo pada September– Desember 2018. Analisis data digunakan untuk mendapat koefisien korelasi leptin, adiponektin dan rasio leptin-adiponektin dengan HOMA-IR
Hasil.
Sebanyak 111 subjek penelitian dengan subjek laki – laki sebanyak 91 orang (81%). Median usia subjek penelitian 39 tahun. Median lingkar perut 83,1 cm dan IMT 22,91 ± 3,91 kg/m2. Sebanyak 60,4% dari subjek penelitian mengalami hipertrigliseridemia, dan 85% memiliki kadar HDL yang rendah. Pada penelitian didapatkan median HOMA IR 2,91, median adiponektin 11,4 μg/mL, median leptin 9,9 ng/mL, dan median rasio leptin adiponektin 0,74. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan koefisien korelasi antara leptin dengan HOMA-IR 0.434 dengan p <0,001, adiponektin dengan HOMA IR -0,214 dengan p <0,05 dan rasio leptin-adiponektin dengan HOMA-IR, didapatkan nilai r 0,417 dengan p <0,001.
Kesimpulan.
Terdapat korelasi positif bermakna antara leptin dan rasio leptin-adiponektin dengan HOMA- IR, sedangkan untuk adiponektin dengan HOMA-IR didapatkan korelasi negatif bermakna.

Background.
Antiretroviral (ARV) treatment in Indonesia includes two lines. The second line consists of a combination of two NRTIs (Nucleoside Reverse Trancriptase Inhibitors) and one PI (protease inhibitor). Protease inhibitors are ARV drugs known to cause lipodystrophy. Patients who are on HAART (highly active antiretroviral therapy), and have lipodystrophy, often develop insulin resistance which is associated with increased risk for cardiovascular disease. Increasing of FFA (free fatty acids) and TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor-alpha) in result of lipodystrophy, also several cytokines (adipokines) released by adipose tissue, such as leptin and adiponectin, also known as adipocytokines or adipokines, may play a role to insulin reistance. Leptin and adiponectin are linked to glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity.
Objective.
Knowing the correlation of leptin, adiponectin and leptin-adiponectin ratio with HOMA-IR in HIV/AIDS patient on protease inhibitor based anti retroviral therapy.
Methods.
Cross sectional study with an affordable population of HIV/ AIDS patient on protease inhibitor- based ARV therapy in Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital from September – December 2018. Data Analysis was used to obtain the coefficient of correlation of leptin, adiponectin and leptin- adiponectin ratio with HOMA-IR.
Results.
There were 111 subjects with 91% males. Median’s age of study subject 39 years. Median of abdominal circumference 83,1 cm and median of body mass index 22,91 ± 3,91 kg/m2. Hypertriglyceridemia was found in 60,4% from subjects and 85% had low HDL level. Median of HOMA IR 2,91, Median of adiponectin 11,4 μg/mL, median of leptin 9,9 ng/mL, median of leptin adiponectin ratio 0,74. Coefficient of correlation between leptin and HOMA-IR was 0,434 with p value <0,001, adiponectin and HOMA-IR -0,214 with p value <0.05 and leptin- adiponectin ratio 0,417 with p value <0,001
Conclusion.
A significant positive correlation between leptin and leptin-adiponectin ratio with HOMA-IR was obtain, also a significant negative correlation was obtained between adiponectin and HOMA-IR.

"Background: low-grade chronic inflammation in obese individuals contributes to the development of lipid abnormality and insulin resistance. Vitamin E has antioxidant and insulin-sensitizing properties, mediated by adiponectin. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of vitamin E supplementation on lipid profiles and adiponectin levels in obese adolescents.
Methods: this was a randomized, double-blind, controlled study. Obese adolescents aged 14-18 years, with no history of taking anti-obesity or antioxidant drugs, were recruited and randomized into two groups: vitamin E and placebo. The dose of vitamin E was 400 IU/day. Intervention was administered for two months. Lipid profiles and adiponectin levels were measured at baseline and after intervention. Primary outcomes were analyzed using the per-protocol analysis principle. Statistical analysis was performed using the independent t-test or the Mann-Whitney U test.
Results: a total of 66 subjects completed the intervention study, 34 in the vitamin E group and 32 in the placebo group. Lipid profiles and adiponectin levels at 2 months after intervention did not differ significantly between the two groups. Changes from the baseline level were also not significantly different between the two groups and were inconsistent from one subject to another.
Conclusion: in obese adolescents, vitamin E supplementation of 400 IU/day for 2 months does not significantly affect lipid profiles and adiponectin levels."

"Obesitas sentral di dunia dan Indonesia terus meningkat. Dislipidemia pada obesitas sentral merupakan kelainan metabolik yang paling sering ditemui, paling awal muncul, dan hubungannya paling kuat dengan komplikasi kardiovaskular. Penelitian mengenai obesitas sentral dan dislipidemia, di daerah rural Indonesia sangatlah terbatas. Belum ada penelitian yang menilai kontribusi leptin, adiponektin, dan resistin terhadap dislipidemia pada obesitas sentral secara bersamaan.
Tujuan: Mengetahui prevalensi obesitas sentral dan dislipidemia di kecamatan Nangapanda, NTT. Selain itu juga mengevaluasi hubungan antara obesitas sentral dengan kadar TG, K-HDL, K-LDL, leptin, adiponektin, dan resistin. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian potong lintang yang menganalisis data sekunder penelitian Sugarspin yang dilakukan di 3 desa di Kecamatan Nangapanda, NTT. Kriteria inklusi adalah seluruh pasien yang tercatat dan sesuai periode penelitian yang berusia >18 tahun dan <60 tahun. Sedangkan kriteria eksklusi bila terdapat komponen data yang tidak lengkap, kadar TG lebih dari 400 mg/dl, dan menggunakan terapi obat dislipidemia, steroid, dan kontrasepsi hormonal. Hasil: Prevalensi obesitas sentral di kecamatan Nangapanda, NTT sebesar 31.2%
(40% pada perempuan dan 17.0% pada laki-laki). Sedangkan prevalensi
dislipidemia sebesar 70.9% (71.6% pada perempuan dan 69.9% pada laki-laki). Pada subyek dengan obesitas sentral, proporsi dislipidemia sebesar 88.2% (87.0% pada perempuan dan 92.9% pada laki-laki). Obesitas sentral yang dinilai dengan lingkar pinggang, baik pada perempuan maupun laki-laki berkorelasi positif dengan kadar TG dan kadar K-LDL, serta berkorelasi negatif dengan kadar K-HDL. Obesitas sentral, baik pada perempuan maupun laki-laki, berkorelasi positif dengan kadar leptin dan negatif dengan kadar adiponektin. Korelasi negatif sangat lemah didapatkan antara obesitas sentral dengan kadar resistin hanya pada laki-laki. Didapatkaan korelasi positif antara kadar leptin dengan kadar TG dan kadar KLDL, serta korelasi negatif dengan kadar K-HDL, baik pada perempuan maupun laki-laki. Didapatkan korelasi positif yang lemah antara kadar adiponektin dengan kadar K-HDL baik pada perempuan maupun laki-laki. Kadar resistin berkorelasi negatif sangat lemah dengan kadar HDL hanya pada perempuan.
Simpulan: Prevalensi obesitas sentral dan dislipidemia di 3 desa di kecamatan Nangapanda, NTT sebagai salah satu daerah rural di Indonesia cukup tinggi sehingga memerlukan perhatian khusus. Leptin nampaknya memegang peranan penting dalam patofisiologi terjadinya dislipidemia pada obesitas sentral.

Background: The global trend of central obesity has increased dramatically as well
as in Indonesia. Dyslipidemia is the most common and the earliest metabolic
disease component that concurrently found in central obesity. Moreover,
dyslipidemia in central obesity was remarked to have the strongest correlation with
the risk of cardiovascular complication. Studies regarding central obesity and
dyslipidemia in rural area in Indonesia were limited. In addition, there was no study
that observed the contribution of leptin, adiponectin, and resistin in dyslipidemia
and central obesity concurrently.
Objective: This study aims to determine the prevalence of central obesity and
dyslipidemia in Nangapanda district, East Nusa Tenggara and to evaluate the
correlation between central obesity and triglyceride, HDL-C, LDL-C, leptin,
adiponectin, and resistin levels.
Methods: This study was cross-sectional study that analyzed secondary data from
Sugarspin that was conducted in three sub-district in Nangapanda district, East
Nusa Tenggara. Inclusion criteria were all subjects recorded in Sugarspin database
within specific study period, aged > 18 years and < 60 years. Exclusion criteria
were incomplete data, subjects who had triglyceride level > 400 mg/dl, as well as
consumed lipid lowering agent, steroid and hormonal contraception.
Results: The prevalence of central obesity and dyslipidemia in Nangapanda
district, East Nusa Tenggara was 31.2% (40% female and 17.0% male) and 70.9%
(71.6% female and 69.9% male), respectively. In subjects with central obesity, the
proportion of dyslipidemia was 88.2% (87.0% female and 92.9% male). Central
obesity that was remarked by waist circumference measurement had positive
correlation with triglyceride and LDL-C level while had negative correlation with
HDL-C level. Central obesity, both in female and male, had positive correlation
with leptin level and had negative correlation with adiponectin level. A very weak
negative correlation was found between central obesity and resistin level only in
male. While, a positive correlation was found between leptin level and triglyceride
as well as LDL-C level, a negative correlation was found between leptin level and
HDL-C level, both in female and male. In addition, a weak positve correlation
between adiponectin and HDL-C level was found in female and male. Resistin level
had a very weak negative correlation only in female.
Conclusions: Prevalence of central obesity and dyslipidemia in three sub-districts
in Nangapanda district, East Nusa Tenggara, a rural area in Indonesia, was high.
The growing prevalence required attention due to its cardiovascular risk. Leptin
was seemingly played an important role in pathophysiology of dyslipidemia in
central obesity

"ABSTRAK
Latar belakang: Pola makan yang tidak sehat selama masa kanak-kanak akan berdampak pada risiko penyakit tidak menular (PTM) di kemudian hari. Salah satu indikator awal PTM yang dapat dimodifikasi oleh diet adalah adiponektin. Adiponektin dinilai berhubungan dengan PTM karena perannya dalam proses perjalanan penyakit obesitas, diabetes, inflamasi, aterosklerosis, maupun penyakit kardiovaskular. Data yang terdokumentasi dengan baik mengenai kualitas diet dan hubungannya dengan kadar adiponektin pada populasi anak belum banyak dieksplorasi. Tujuan: Kami mengidentifikasi kualitas makanan umum anak-anak Indonesia dan menilai hubungannya dengan kadar adiponektin serum sebagai penanda awal PTM. Metode: Delapan puluh enam (44 perempuan dan 42 laki-laki) anak usia prasekolah yang merupakan bagian dari subjek penelitian dari studi Kohort Ibu dan Anak di 10 kecamatan di Jakarta Timur dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini. Data diet didapat dengan mengumpulkan data 24hr food recall berulang selama sehari di hari kerja dan satu hari di akhir pekan, yang kemudian dianalisis lebih lanjut ke dalam perhitungan Healthy Eating Index (HEI) 2015. Kadar adiponektin serum ditentukan dengan uji Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Analisis regresi linear berganda dilakukan untuk menilai hubungan antara HEI 2015 dan konsentrasi adiponektin serum, dengan penyesuaian terhadap faktor perancu. Hasil: Nilai rata-rata skor HEI 2015 subjek penelitian adalah 33,1 ± 8,2, jauh di bawah skor yang direkomendasikan yaitu ≥ 80. Rata-rata serum adiponektin adalah 10,3 ± 4,1 ug / mL, di mana 11,6% subjek memiliki kadar serum adiponektin di bawah normal. Uji regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa HEI secara signifikan berkaitan dengan serum adiponektin baik sebelum maupun sesudah disesuaikan dengan faktor perancu (β = 0,232; 95% CI = 0,01-0,25; p = 0,03; β = 0,214; 95% CI = 0,03-0,21; p = 0,04). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara HEI dan adiponektin. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kepatuhan terhadap diet berkualitas tinggi sejak usia dini berperan dalam meningkatkan kadar adiponektin yang sangat penting untuk mengurangi risiko PTM di masa dewasa.

ABSTRACT
Background: Unhealthy diet during childhood will have a direct effect on risk of developing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in later life. One early indicator of NCDs that can be modified by diet is adiponectin. Adiponectin is considered to have association with NCDs because of its role in the course of obesity, diabetes, inflammation, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease. Well-documented data regarding the quality of the diet and its relationship to adiponectin levels in the pediatric population have not been explored extensively. Objective: We identified the diet quality of Indonesian children and assessed its relationship to serum adiponectin level as the early markers of NCDs. Methods: Eighty-six (44 girls and 42 boys) preschool-aged children from a nested cohort study in 10 sub-districts in East Jakarta were included in this study. Dietary data was gathered by collecting repeated 24-hour recalls for a-day in the weekday and a-day in the weekend, which then further analyzed into HEI 2015 calculation. The Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) test was used to determine serum adiponectin levels. Multiple regression analysis was performed to assess the association between HEI 2015 and serum adiponectin concentration, with adjustment for potential confounder. Results: The mean of subjects' HEI 2015 score was 33.1±8.2, below the recommendation score of ≥ 80. The mean serum adiponectin was 10.3±4.1 ug/mL, in which 11.6% has serum adiponectin level below normal. Multiple linear regression test showed that HEI was significantly correlated with adiponectin serum either before or after adjusted with confounders (β=0.232; 95% CI=0.01-0.25; p=0.03; β=0.214; 95% CI=0.03-0.21; p=0.04), respectively. Conclusion: There is an association between HEI and adiponectin. This result suggests that adherence to a high-quality diet from an early age is crucial to reduce the risk of Indonesian children experiencing NCD as adults."

"ABSTRAK
Periodontitis merupakan penyakit kronis rongga mulut yang berkontribusi menjadi bebanpenyakit kronis di dunia. Keradangan kronis yang berat pada periodontitis kronis PK akan menimbulkan respon sistemik terhadap bakteri, dan produk kerusakan periodontal.Hubungan antara PK dengan diabetes melitus tipe-2 DM tipe-2 terjadi karena infeksioral merupakan faktor predisposisi DM tipe-2, sebaliknya DM tipe-2 menjadi faktorpredisposisi PK. Adipositokin, diantaranya resistin dan adiponektin, merupakan sitokinyang berperan sebagai mediator penyakit periodontal dan DM tipe-2. Tujuan penelitianini adalah menjelaskan peran adipositokin terhadap keterkaitan antara PK dengan DMtipe-2, ditinjau dari polimorfisme gen adiponektin, kadar resistin dan adiponektin, sertapengembangan model risiko periodontitis kronis. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 50 subjekPK non-DM usia 29-68 tahun dan 50 subjek PK dengan DM tipe-2 usia 30-73 tahun .Seluruh subjek dilakukan pemeriksaan status periodontal, status diabetes melitus, kadarresistin dan adiponektin di dalam CKG cairan krevikular gingiva maupun serum, bodymass index, serta polimorfisme gen adiponektin ADIPOQ 276G>T . Hasil uji bivariatpada subjek PK antara non-DM dengan DM tipe-2 menunjukkan terdapat perbedaanbermakna pT, kadar resistin danadiponektin CKG, kendali glikemik, serta BMI. Polimorfisme gen ADIPOQ 276G>Tmerupakan faktor risiko PK. Subjek dengan genotip GT berisiko 4,2 kali menderita PKdengan DM tipe-2 dibandingkan dengan subjek genotip GG. Model risiko PK dibentukdari faktor risiko usia, LDL, indeks kalkulus, gen adiponektin serta BMI dengan kekuatanhubungan kuat >80.

ABSTRACT
Periodontitis is a chronic disease of the oral cavity that contributes to the burden ofchronic diseases worldwide. Severe chronic inflammation in chronic periodontitis CP will lead to systemic responses cause by bacteria and the breakdown products. Theassociation between CP with type 2 diabetes mellitus T2DM occurs because oralinfection is a predisposing factor for T2DM, whereas T2DM becomes a CP predisposingfactor. Adipocytokine induces insulin resistance, acts as a mediator of periodontal diseaseand T2DM. Resistin and adiponectin are adipocytokines. The purpose of this study wasto predict the role of adipocytokines to the relationship between CP and T2DM, in termsof adiponectin gene polymorphisms, levels of gingival crevicular fluids GCF and serumresistin and adiponectin, and the CP susceptibility risk model. Fifty subject with CP nondiabetes age range 29-68 and 50 CP subject age 30-73 with T2DM were selected. Theperiodontal status, diabetes status, BMI and the levels of GCF and serum resistin andadiponectin were assessed. Bivariate test showed significant differences p T gene polymorphism, resistin and adiponectin levels in GCF, HbA1clevels, and BMI between CP non-DM and CP T2DM subject. Gene polymorphismADIPOQ 276G>T is a risk factor for CP. The subject with GT genotype 4.2 times OR4.2 suffering from CP with DM type-2 compare to the subject with GG genotype. TheCP risk model was formed from risks factors age, LDL, calculus index, adiponectin geneand BMI with strong relation strength > 80 ."

"Obesitas merupakan masalah kesehatan yang diprediksi terus bertambah hingga tahun 2050. Obesitas ditandai dengan nilai Indeks Massa Tubuh ≥ 30. Penelitian ini dimulai dari studi bioinformatika dibandingkan Orlistat. Gallocatechin gallate berpotensi sebagai anti obesitas yang terdapat dalam kandungan ekstrak daun yang diperoleh dari hasil bioinformatika. Penelitian secara in vivo menggunakan tikus putih betina galur Wistar yang diawali dengan uji induksi dengan 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok non HFD (High Fat Diet) dan HFD dengan pemberian secara oral. Semua tikus diinduksi dengan pakan standar dan pakan diet tinggi lemak selama 10 minggu hingga kenaikan berat badan mencapai 50% dan setelah itu diberi perlakuan dengan pembagian kelompok yaitu A (normal dengan pakan standar), B (HFD), C (HFD+Orlistat 30 mg/KgBB), D (HFD+Ekstrak 10 mg/KgBB), E (HFD+Ekstrak 20 mg/KgBB), dan F (HFD+Ekstrak 40 mg/KgBB) selama 4 minggu. Parameter yang diukur adalah berat badan, indeks lee, food intake, berat lemak viseral, % indeks adipositas, ukuran sel adiposa, profil darah (kolesterol, trigliserida, HDL, LDL, glukosa darah, dan uji toleransi glukosa), pengukuran kadar protein adiponektin, leptin, dan PNLIP dengan metode ELISA sandwich. Berdasarkan penelitian, ekstrak dosis 3 (40 mg/KgBB) memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan berat badan, kontrol nafsu makan dan mengurangi berat lemak viseral, mengurangi ukuran sel adiposa, memperbaiki nilai profil darah, meningkatkan kadar protein adiponektin dan leptin serta mengurangi kadar protein PNLIP.

Obesity is a health problem that is predicted to increase until 2050. Obesity is characterized by a Body Mass Index value ≥ 30. This research started from a bioinformatics study compared to Orlistat. Gallocatechin gallate has potential as an anti-obesity contained in leaf extracts obtained from bioinformatics results. The next stage was to carry out in vivo research using wistar female white rats which divided into non High Fat Diet (HFD) and HFD group with oral administration. All rats were induced with standard feed and high fat diet for 10 weeks until body weight gain reached 50% and after that they were treated according to 6 groups, A (normal with standard feed), B (HFD), C (HFD+Orlistat 30 mg/KgBW), D (HFD+Extract 10 mg/ KgBW), E (HFD+Extract 20 mg/KgBW), and F (HFD+Extract 40 mg/KgBW) for 4 weeks. The parameters measured were body weight, lee index, food intake, visceral fat weight, % adiposity index, adipose cell size, blood profile (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL, blood glucose, and glucose tolerance test), measurement of adiponectin, leptin, and PNLIP protein level using the sandwich ELISA method. Based on this research, Extract dose 3 (40 mg/KgBW) has an significant effect on weight loss, appetite control and reduce visceral fat weight, reduce adipose cell size, improve blood profile values, increase adiponectin and leptin protein levels and decrease PNLIP protein level."
