"Perguruan tinggi harus mampu melakukan proses evaluasi, perencanaan dan pengelolaan secara baik untuk dapat memenangkan persaingan di era globalisasi ini. Guna menunjang hal tersebut maka dibutuhkan dukungan informasi yang cukup dan berkualitas sehingga perguruan tinggi tersebut dapat menggali dan memprediksi potensi-potensi yang ada. Pembangunan data warehouse dan data mining adalah alternatif solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu organisasi mencari dan memahami pola-pola tersembunyi (hidden pattern) dari data yang dimiliki. Data warehouse adalah kumpulan basis data terintegrasi yang digunakan untuk mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan. Sedangkan data mining adalah analysis tools yang digunakan untuk mengekstrak informasi yang ada di data warehouse.
Penelitian ini mengkaji masalah perancangan data warehouse dan penerapan data mining untuk mendukung bidang akademik IBI Darmajaya dalam menyajikan informasi-informasi potensial yang diperlukan guna memberikan layanan akademik yang lebih baik. Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah membangun data warehouse IBI Darmajaya, kemudian menerapkan teknik data mining untuk manganalisis data yang ada.
Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa data warehouse yang dapat menyajikan informasi guna mendukung proses evaluasi dan perencanaan promosi penerimaan mahasiswa baru ke daerah-daerah dan sekolah-sekolah yang potensial, proses evaluasi dan perencanaan media promosi yang akan digunakan, proses pengamatan trend mahasiswa berdasarkan status akademiknya, proses evaluasi dan perencanaan studi mahasiswa, serta proses evaluasi kinerja program studi dari segi kualitas lulusan dan masa studinya. Selain itu hasil penelitian ini juga berupa penerapan data mining untuk mencari rule-rule yang digunakan dalam mengarahkan peminatan mahasiswa dan mengarahkan pemilihan program studi bagi calon mahasiswa baru.

Higher education institution must be able to well perform processes of evaluation, planning and management in order to win the competition in this globalization era. To support any effort of the aforementioned, the institution needs qualified and sufficient information supports so that it can probe and predict any potential strength which existed. Development data warehouse and data mining is kinds of solution alternatives which can be done to help organization in finding and understanding hidden patterns from the data provided. Data warehouse is a collection of integrated databases which is used to support the process of decision making. Data mining is a kind of analysis tool which is used to extract any information provided in the data warehouse.
The research discussed a problem in designing data warehouse and applying data mining to support the academic system at IBI Darmajaya in representing potential information required for better academic services to learners. The first executed steps was establishing the data warehouse of IBI Darmajaya, then an analysis was conducted towards all saved data in the data warehouse by using data mining techniques.
The results of this research is a data warehouse that can represent information to support the evaluation process and acceptance of new students campaign planning to the potential areas and school, advertising media that will be used, monitoring of students? academic status, evaluation and planning of students? study plans, and performance evaluation of study program within the aspects of alumni quality and length of study. In addition, this research also result the application of data mining for finding the rules that used to driving and directing the students enthusiast and study program selection for prospective new students.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeliminasi waste pada lini produksi machining cast wheel dengan implementasi konsep lean manufacturing. Metode lean manufacturing yang digunakan adalah Waste Assessment Model (WAM) untuk identifikasi waste pada proses manufaktur dan Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) untuk memilih mapping tools yang digunakan dalam analisis waste.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan tiga rekomendasi perbaikan yaitu modifikasi desain soft jaw mesin OP 20 (facing dan boring), aplikasi metode sampling pada proses OP 40 (leak test), dan penggabungan proses OP 70/OP 60 (washing).
Hasil evaluasi rekomendasi didapatkan perbaikan pada lini produksi machining cast wheel berupa peningkatan kapasitas produksi menjadi 1,350 set per hari, penurunan reject rate menjadi 2%, dan efisiensi man power sebanyak 3 orang.

The purpose of this research is to eliminate waste in machining cast wheel line production using lean manufacturing implementation. This research use lean manufacturing method with Waste Assessment Model (WAM) for identification waste of manufacturing process and Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) to choose mapping tools which will be used inwaste analysis.
Based on the analysis result, there are three recommendations. The recommendations are modification design soft jaw on machine OP 20 (facing and boring), application sampling method for OP 40 (leak test), and unification OP 70/OP 60 (washing).
The result of evaluation recommendations shows performance improvement in machining cast wheel line production, there are increase in production capacity by 1,350 sets per day, decrease in reject rate by 2%, and efficiency of man power by reduce 3 peoples.

"Dalam persaingan industri makanan yang semakin ketat, perusahaan dituntut untuk terus meningkatkan daya saingnya dan mampu memenuhi permintaan pelanggan yang terus meningkat. Pemborosan pada proses produksi menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pemenuhan permintaan pelanggan sehingga perlu dieliminasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu perusahaan manufaktur makanan ringan dengan menerapkan konsep Lean Manufacturing dan metode Value Stream Mapping, serta metode pendukung seperti WAQ, WRM, dan VALSAT. Hasil dari WAQ adalah diketahui 3 jenis pemborosan signifikan pada proses produksi, yaitu defect, transportation, dan motion. Setelah menganalisis akar penyebab pemborosan dan berdiskusi dengan pihak perusahaan terkait perbaikan yang dapat dilakukan, diperoleh penurunan total lead time proses produksi dari 10,03 jam menjadi 7,8 jam dan total cycle time dari 7,9 jam menjadi 6,4 jam.h a capacity of 2000 KL is designed based on calculations that refer to the internationally accepted Code and Standards API 650 and JIG 2. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Based on the design results according to API 650, the avtur tank with a capacity of 2000 KL, which will be built at the Kertajati DPPU, has a diameter of 18m and a height of 9.7m. The bottom and the annular plate thickness is 8mm. The first shell thickness is 8mm, the second 8mm, the third 6mm, and the fourth 6mm. The roof plate thickness is 6mm. While the avtur tank design based on JIG 2 must be coated on the inside of the tank (internal coating), have floating suction, and have three sampling points (upper, middle, lower) connected to the sampling jar.

In the increasingly competitive food industry, companies are demanded to continually improve their competitiveness and meet the growing customer demand. Waste in the production process is one of the factors that affect customer demand fulfillment and need to be eliminated to enhance process efficiency. This research was conducted in one of the snack manufacturing companies by applying lean manufacturing concepts and value stream mapping methods, along with supporting methods such as waste assessment model (WAM) and value stream analysis tools (VALSAT). The WAM results revealed three significant types of waste in the production process, namely defect, transportation, and motion. After analyzing the root causes of waste and discussing the potential improvements with the company, a reduction in total lead time of the production process from 10.03 hours to 7.8 hours and total cycle time from 7.9 hours to 6.4 hours was achieved."

"ABSTRAK
Tingkat pertumbuhan industri di Indonesia yang cenderung tinggi menuntut setiap industri untuk memiliki performa yang baik sehingga mampu bersaing secara kompetitif. Performa perusahaan yang baik dipengaruhi oleh produktivitas pekerja yang dipengaruhi oleh tingkat Job Satisfaction yang dimiliki oleh setiap pegawai. Secara langsung maupun tidak langsung Job Satisfaction dapat mempengaruhi banyak aspek bagi suatu perusahaan termasuk Customer Satisfaction yang merupakan focus utama bagi perusahan yang bergerak di bidang service. Ada banyak teori yang mendukung mengenai pentingnya meningkatkan Job Satisfaction bagi suatu perusahaan. Salah satunya Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory yang menekankan bahwa terdapat 2 faktor utama yang dapat mempengaruhi Job Satisfaction pegawai yaitu Motivators dan Hygiene Factors. Pada penelitian ini, penulis melakukan pengujian Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory pada salah satu Professional Service Firm di Indonesia. Penelitian ini melakukan pengujian terhadap 156 responden melalui kusioner Job Descriptive Index dan kuisioner berlandaskan Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat Job Satisfaction pegawai dan mencari faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi Job Satisfaction pegawai. Setelah itu penelitian ini juga dilanjutkan dengan perancangan strategi menggunakan System Analysis Tools (SAT) guna meningkatkan Job Satisfaction pegawai di Professional Service Firm tersebut.

ABSTRACT
The growth rate of Industries in Indonesia has grown so significance that made this country has to increase its industrial performance that influence industrial competiveness. Industrial performance influenced by workers' productivity. Many aspects that influence workers' productivity organization commitment, work engagement and Job Satisfaction. Job Satisfaction has a big impact for a company espescially for service company since Job Satisfaction affects Customer Sarisfaction. There are many theories that support the importance of improve Job Satisfaction for company. Herzberg?s Two Factors theory explained about the factors that affecting Employee Job Satisfaction. They are Motivator Factors and Hygiene Factors. This research examined Herzberg?s Two Factors Theory in Professional Service Firm in Indonesia. There are about 156 respondends that participate in this research. The dominant factors were found through Job Descriptive Index and questionnaire that related with Herzberg‟s Two Factors Theory were used in this research. At the end, based on the results, researchers was trying to make a strategy to imptove Job Satisfaction Level in Professional Service Firm"

"Dalam ketatnya persaingan dalam industri cat domestik, perusahaan dituntut untuk mengejar perbaikan dalam segala aspek, termasuk efisiensi operasional. Peningkatan efisiensi produksi melalui pengurangan pemborosan merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi perusahaan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses produksi cat waterbased di PT X melalui identifikasi dan eliminasi pemborosan. Metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Waste Assessment Model (WAM), dan Process Activity Mapping (PAM) diterapkan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Ditemukan bahwa overproduction, inventory, dan defect merupakan jenis pemborosan yang paling dominan dalam current state proses produksi. Berdasarkan analisis bersama pihak perusahaan, rekomendasi perbaikan yang dirumuskan dengan metode 5W-1H berupa penggunaan kemasan jumbo untuk bahan tertentu, penerapan metode organisasi 5S, perubahan layout pada floor produksi atas, penerapan papan Kanban di area forklift, perubahan pada bon resmi permintaan RM, dan penerapan pergantian peran dalam proses filling. Alhasil, pada future state, value ratio meningkat 1,7%, cycle time berkurang 6,56%, standard time berkurang 7,25%, lead time berkurang 6,55%, waktu kegiatan value adding berkurang 3,06%, waktu kegiatan non-value adding berkurang 13,82%, dan waktu kegiatan necessary nonvalue adding berkurang 3,64%.

As the competition in the domestic paint industry intensifies, companies are required to pursue improvements in all aspects. Increasing production efficiency through waste reduction is one of the possible ways to improve a company’s overall operational efficiency. This study aims to improve the efficiency of water-based paint production process at PT X through the elimination of waste. Value Stream Mapping, Waste Assessment Model, and Process Activity Mapping are applied to achieve this goal. Based on a joint analysis with the company, the recommendations for improvement formulated using the 5W-1H method include the use of jumbo packaging for certain materials, the application of the 5S organizational method, changes to the layout on the upper production floor, the application of Kanban boards in the forklift area, changes to the official receipt for RM requests, and role shuffling in the filling process. As a result, in the future state, the value ratio increased by 1.7%, cycle time decreased by 6.56%, standard time decreased by 7.25%, lead time decreased by 6.55%, value added activity time decreased by 3.06%, non-value adding activity time is reduced by 13.82%, and necessary but non-value adding activity time is reduced by 3.64%."
