"Gereja Blendhuk merupakan salah satu bangunan gereja kuno peninggalan Belanda di Kota Lama (oud Holland) di Semarang. Bangunan gereja yang sampai saat ini masih aktif digunakan warga Semarang untuk melakukan kebaktian ini bergaya bangunan khas Belanda dengan kubah yang menjadi ciri khasnya. Dalam bahasa Jawa atap dengan bentuk tersebut dikenal dengan istilah blendhuk, Dengan bentuk kubahnya yang lain dari pada yang lain serta gaya bangunan yang menarik inilah yang membuat gereja tersebut tidak hanya menjadi sebagai rumah peribadatan tetapi juga menjadi tujuan wisata. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah memaparkan tentang bagaimana pseudo baroque berpengaruh pada sebagian besar detail yang terdapat pada bangunan Gereja Blendhuk. Penelitian ini akan difokuskan pada peninjauan akan fungsi serta seni gaya bangunan yang dimiliki Gereja Blendhuk.

Blendhuk Church is one of the old church from Netherland in the Old City (Old Holland) in Semarang. The building of the church that still active for people around Semarang as a place of worship is using typical dutch building style with a big dome as the trademark. In Javanese language its called blendhuk, With the shape of the dome that different than the other and also the bulding style that can attract the other people like a tourist not only as a place of worship but also as a tourist destination. The benefits of this research is elaborated on how the pseudo baroque influence on most of the details contained in the building of Blendhuk Church.This research will take a focus on a problem about a function and the art of building style that owned by Blendhuk Church."

"Makalah ini membahas salah satu bangunan peninggalan Belanda di Surabaya yang hingga kini masih aktif digunakan sebagai tempat ibadah umat katolik. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan gaya arsitektur Neo-Gotik yang diaplikasikan pada eksterior bangunan Gereja Kelahiran Santa Perawan Maria di Surabaya. Gaya Neo-Gotik merupakan gaya yang di bawa masuk oleh orang Belanda pada masa Hindia-Belanda. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian berupa paparan ciri gaya arsitektur Neo-Gotik pada gereja Kelahiran Santa Perawan Maria Surabaya tergambar dari komponen arsitektural dan komponen ornamen bangunan seperti penggunaan batu bata, rose windows, kaca mozaik, windowsill dan sebagainya.

This paper discusses one of the Dutch heritage buildings in Surabaya which is still actively used as a place of worship for Catholics. This paper aims to describe the Neo-Gothic style of architecture that was applied to the exterior of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Surabaya. Neo-Gothic style is a style that was brought in by the Dutch during the Dutch East Indies. The method used is descriptive analysis method. The results of research in the form of exposure to the characteristics of Neo-Gothic style architecture at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Surabaya are illustrated from the architectural components and building ornament components such as the use of bricks, rose windows, mosaic glass, windowsill and so on."
