"ABSTRACT
We proposed a method for measuring the temperature by using Mach - Zehnder Interferometer, one arms of Mach - Zehnder Interferometer was used as a test arms which was disturbed by an object, it's temperature was to be measured. In our experiment, we used a combustion flame and a heated welder with temperature variation as a testing object.
System, contains He - Ne laser source, two beams splatters and two mirrors which form two arms of interferometer, with a length of 1,06 meter.
The experiment results shows that the variation of temperature could give the difference of fringe spacing at the screen. Several photographs of fringe pattern on the screen have been successfully taken on both under temperature disturbance and normal condition.
The comparison between the fringe spacing under those two conditions could give the information about temperature of the testing objects.
This result was also compared with the measurement using thermocouple with digital display. This comparison gives us a good agreement."

"ABSTRAK
Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan pembuatan beam splitter untuk alat bidik
senjata yang dibuat dari lapisan tipis aluminium (Al) dengan empat macam massa
yaitu 13, 15, 20, 25, 30 dan 190 mg. Pembuatan lapisan tipis dilakukan dengan
metoda evaporasi vakum pada tekanan 10-6 torr. Substrat yang digunakan adalah
gelas BK7 yang telah dipoles. Lapisan tipis Al diuji durabilitasnya dengan cara
menggosok lapisan tipis Al dengan karet penghapus standar sebanyak 20 kali.
Untuk mengetahui sifat optik, maka dilakukan pengujian transmitansi substrat
gelas BK7, transmitansi dan spektrum cahaya lapisan tipis Al menggunakan
spektrofotometer terkalibrasi. Selain itu dilakukan pula pengujian kemampuan
beam splitter dalam menerima cahaya pada berbagai posisi dengan mengukur
dimensi beam profile pada posisi beam splitter 10, 20, 30 dan 40 cm dan jarak
ukur 100, 200 dan 300 m menggunakan sumber cahaya laser hijau 1000 mW 532
nm.

ABSTRACT
Fabrication of beam splitter for weapon aiming device made from Al thin film
with four different source masses 13, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 190 mg has been done.
The thin film fabrication was made by using vacuum evaporation method at
pressure 10-6 torr. The substrates used were polished Borosilicate glass (BK7).
The films were tested its durability by rubbing the standard eraser on the films for
20 times. A calibrated spectrophotometer was used to obtain optical characteristic
of Al films and the substrate including transmittance and spectrum transmittance
in visible region (400 - 650 nm). A green laser 1000 mW 532 nm was used as
light source to test ability of beam splitter 50/50 and the substrate in receiving
light by measuring beam profile dimension at different position and distance."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara absorbansi terhadap perubahan temperatur. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa sampel cairan dengan viskositas yang berbeda dan setiap cairan dikenakan perubahan temperatur yang bertujuan untuk merubah viskositas cairan. Proses pengukuran absorbansi menggunakan metode melewatkan cahaya yang terukur intensitasnya dan dilewatkan pada media sampel yang terukur jaraknya dan mengukur cahaya setelah melewati sampel. Untuk mengetahui intensitas cahaya yang masuk ke dalam media pengujian memanfaatkan beam splitter 50%. Perbandingan logaritmik intensitas cahaya yang masuk ke dalam sample dan intensitas cahaya yang keluar akan menjadi nilai absorbansi. Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa cairan dengan viskositas awal yang berbeda dan setiap cairan dilakukan perubahan temperatur. Penelitian ini menguji beberapa jenis cairan dengan viskositas awal yang berbeda dan memperhatikan perubahan absorbansi seiring dengan peningkatan temperatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perubahan warna cairan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai absorbansi yang terukur. Penggunaan jenis cairan yang berbeda juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil pengukuran absorbansi. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman lebih lanjut mengenai karakteristik optik cairan dalam kaitannya dengan viskositas dan temperatur. Hasil pengujian menghasilkan nilai absorbansi yang berbeda-berbeda berdasarkan sinar laser yang digunakan dan variasi viskositas oli yang digunakan. Pada sinar warna merah peningkatan nilai absorbansi terjadi bervariasi yaitu 0.4, 0.9, dan 0.5. Pada sinar hijau sebesar 0.09, 0.6, dan 0.4. Pada sinar biru sebesar 0.08, 0.8, dan 0.7.

This research aims to examine the relationship between absorbance and temperature changes. The research uses several liquid samples with different viscosities, and each liquid is subjected to temperature changes intended to alter the viscosity of the liquid. The absorbance measurement process involves passing light, whose intensity is measured, through the sample medium with a measured distance and then measuring the light after it passes through the sample. To determine the intensity of light entering the test medium, a 50% beam splitter is utilized. The logarithmic ratio of the light intensity entering the sample to the light intensity exiting the sample will be the absorbance value.This study uses several liquids with different initial viscosities and subjects each liquid to temperature changes. The research tests several types of liquids with different initial viscosities and observes the changes in absorbance as the temperature increases. The results indicate that changes in the color of the liquid significantly affect the measured absorbance values. The use of different types of liquids also influences the absorbance measurement results. These findings are expected to contribute to a further understanding of the optical characteristics of liquids in relation to viscosity and temperature.The testing results show varying absorbance values based on the laser light used and the variations in oil viscosity. For red light, the absorbance increases by 0.4, 0.9, and 0.5. For green light, the increases are 0.09, 0.6, and 0.4. For blue light, the increases are 0.08, 0.8, and 0.7."
