Abstrak :
The papers presented in this work cover themes such as sustainable tourism; ICT and tourism; marine tourism; tourism and education; tourism, economics, and finance; tourism marketing; recreation and sport tourism; halal & sharia tourism; culture and indigenous tourism; destination management; tourism gastronomy; politic, social, and humanities in tourism; heritage tourism; medical & health tourism; film induced tourism; community based tourism; tourism planning and policy; meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition; supply chain management; hospitality management; restaurant management and operation; safety and crisis management; corporate social responsibility (CSR); tourism geography; disruptive innovation in tourism; infrastructure and transportation in tourism development; urban and rural tourism planning and development; community resilience and social capital in tourism. The 4th ISOT 2020 aimed at (1) bringing together scientists, researchers, practitioners, professionals, and students in a scientific forum and (2) having discussions on theoretical and practical knowledge about current issues in tourism. The keynote speakers contributing to this conference are those with expertise in tourism, either in an academic or industrial context.

Abstrak :
The Dialogues in Urban and Regional Planning series offers a selection of some of the best scholarship in urban and regional planning from around the world. The internationally recognized authors of these award-winning papers take up a range of salient issues from the theory and practice of planning. This 6th volume incorporates essays that explore the salient issue commonly referred to as "The Right to the City." This theme speaks to a growing new movement within planning theory and practice with multiple aims and strategies but with the common objective of advancing a more just and equitable world. The right to the city functions as a manifesto advancing academic explorations of the opportunities for, and barriers to, expanding human and environmental justice. At the same time, it extends beyond academic inquiry to engage directly with the policy, legal and political dimensions of human rights. The right to the city has been invoked by global bodies such as United Nations-Habitat and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to bolster not only their agendas around fundamental human rights but advance urban policies promoting inclusion, sustainability, and resilience. Dialogues 6 offers engaging explorations into the academic expeditions by the global planning community that have helped to energize this movement. The papers assembled here through processes of peer review represent an invaluable collection to untangle the complexities of this dynamic new approach to urban and regional planning. The Dialogues in Urban and Regional Planning (DURP) series is published in association with the Global Planning Education Association Network (GPEAN) and its member national and transnational planning schools associations.

Phenomenologies of the City: Studies in the History and Philosophy of Architecture brings architecture and urbanism into dialogue with phenomenology. Phenomenology has informed debate about the city from social sciences to cultural studies. Within architecture, however, phenomenological inquiry has been neglecting the question of the city. Addressing this lacuna, this book suggests that the city presents not only the richest, but also the politically most urgent horizon of reference for philosophical reflection on the cultural and ethical dimensions of architecture. The contributors to this volume are architects and scholars of urbanism. Some have backgrounds in literature, history, religious studies, and art history. The book features 16 chapters by younger scholars as well as established thinkers including Peter Carl, David Leatherbarrow, Alberto Pérez-Gomez, Wendy Pullan and Dalibor Vesely. Rather than developing a single theoretical statement, the book addresses architecture’s relationship with the city in a wide range of historical and contemporary contexts. The chapters trace hidden genealogies, and explore the ruptures as much as the persistence of recurrent cultural motifs. Together, these interconnected phenomenologies of the city raise simple but fundamental questions: What is the city for, how is it ordered, and how can it be understood? The book does not advocate a return to a naive sense of ’unity’ or ’order’. Rather, it investigates how architecture can generate meaning and forge as well as contest social and cultural representations.

Konsep pembangunan yang berkelanjutan menitikberatkan pembangunan pada sisi pembangunan manusia, lingkungan serta ekonomi. Untuk itu sebagai indikator keberhasilan atas pembangunan infrastruktur adalah terciptanya peningkatan kualitas kehidupan dan penghidupan manusia. Konsep bangunan dan konstruksi hijau menuju masa depan yang berkelanjutan merupakan pendekatan pembangunan yang mempertimbangkan kelanjutan dari produk pembangunan serta sumber daya alam yang tersedia. Suatu pembangunan berorientasi untuk menjaga kesinambungan pada masa mendatang. Bagaimana peran standar dalam menyelamatkan keberlangsungan kehidupan yang lebih baik pada masa depan, sedikit akan terjawab dari tulisan ini, yang menitikberatkan esensi peningkatan kualitas hidup manusia tanpa mengabaikan kualitas lingkungan binaan maupun alami.

Bersepeda merupakan transportasi hemat energi, bebas emisi karbon, dan merupakan active transportation sebagai perwujudan dari healthy lifestyle. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memahami proses terjadinya place attachment pada destinasi tertentu dalam jalur bersepeda. Sasaran dari penelitian ini adalah panduan perancangan jalur sepeda baru yang atraktif, meningkatkan minat bersepeda warga kota, dan menuju penurunan emisi karbon di ruang kota. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan teori place attachment dan analisis naratif deskriptif. Penemuan faktor-faktor pembentuk place attachment pada ruang dan destinasi bersepeda diharapkan mampu berkontribusi dalam studi mengenai kemampuan ruang dalam mengakomodir pesepeda atau bikeability di perkotaan. Penerapan konsep tersebut juga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dari sektor ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan. ......Cycling is energy-efficient transportation, free of carbon emissions, and is an active transportation embodiment of a healthy lifestyle. This study aims to understand the process of place attachment in cycling spaces. The objective of this research is to guide the design of attractive new bicycle point destinations and paths, increase the interest in cycling among city residents, and contribute to reducing carbon emissions in urban spaces. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a place attachment theory approach and descriptive narrative analysis. Primary data collection was carried out by observing cyclists, cyclists' destinations, and interviews with cyclists & other actors. In addition, we do active participation as cyclists to get hands-on experience. This study reveals aspects of interaction, activity, memory, and experience as elements that play a role in place attachment at destination points and cycling routes in Yogyakarta.
