Abstrak :
This book discusses the rationale for, and design of, the first Business Education Jam. It reviews key challenges and articulates a vision for how the role and delivery of business education could be reimagined in a time when business schools struggle to identify the innovations necessary to meet the needs of a changing world.

Considering the tangible implications the present focus on research output poses for early career researchers, it is strange that perspectives from this group are rarely, if ever, included in the ongoing debates in the field. This book aims to put these views on record. By bringing together a group of critically-orientated early career researchers from global business schools it investigates a series of timely questions pertaining to the impact that institutional pressures have on junior academics - particularly those who conduct "critical" or non-mainstream research. What is the nature of the institutional pressure that is placed upon doctoral students to publish in certain journals or to conduct positivist research? How do students with a critical orientation resist these pressures - or why do they succumb to them? What are the implications on critical scholars for resisting or acquiescing to these pressures and what does this mean for scholarship more broadly?

Tesis ini dibuat dengan tujuan untuk melihat strategi pembangunan kelembagaan dan hubungan kelembagaan yang ada di Cerebrovascular Center (CVC) RSPAD-GS antara Akademisi-Bisnis-Pemerintah dan Pengguna. Keberadaan CVC RSPAD-GS berawal dari kebutuhan dasar dalam menangani penderita stroke yang semakin meningkat tiap tahunnya di Indonesia menurut data Riskesda tahun 2007 Kementerian Kesehatan. Kendala yang dialami dalam proses pengorganisasian adalah panjangnya birokrasi yang harus ditempuh sementara pelayanan tetap harus berjalan dengan baik. Perlunya fasilitas dan sarana prasarana, sumberdaya manusia, anggaran, struktur internal dan seorang pemimpin merupakan hal yang dibutuhkan dalam pengembangan CVC RSPAD-GS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisa data deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah manajemen pengelolaan secara umum dibawah Kepala RSPAD yang bersifat sentralistis sehingga otoritas kebijakan baik pengadaan dan pengolaan SDM, Sarana prasarana serta hal lainnya dibawah kendali dan pengawasan Kepala RSPAD. Hubungan kerjasama yang terjalin antara CVC RSPAD-GS dengan Akademisi-Bisnis-Pemerintah dan Pengguna dalam bersifat personal. ......This thesis is aims to look at the institutional building strategies and institutional relationship that exist in the Cerebrovascular Center (CVC) Army Hospital Center Gatot Soebroto (RSPAD-GS) between Academia, Business, Government and Users. CVC existence starts from a basic necessity in dealing with patients with stroke are increasing every year in Indonesia, according to Basic Health Research data (Riskesda) in 2007 from the Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Constraints experienced in the organizing process is lengthy bureaucratic process that must be taken while the service remains to be going well. The need for facilities and infrastructure, human resources, budget, internal structure and a leader is needed in the development of CVC RSPAD-GS. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive data analysis. Results from this study are generally under the management of Chief of Army Hospital Center Gatot Soebroto are to be centralized so that both policy authorities refineries procurement and human resources, facilities and infrastructure as well as other matters under the control and supervision of Chief of Army Hospital. Cooperative relationship that exists between CVC Army Hospital with Business-Academia-Government and the User is personal.

The book sheds light on different elements of this challenge, integrating theory and practice in business education, generating and fully exploiting workplace learning opportunities, and enriching our classrooms by coupling theoretical knowledge with the richness of real-life experience.
