Abstrak :
Sebagai negara dengan kondisi geografis kepulauan dan memiliki banyak sungai besar, Indonesia memerlukan banyak jembatan sebagai infrastruktur penghubung guna menunjang pertumbuhan ekonomi. Rencana peningkatan jumlah jembatan oleh pemerintah tidak lepas dari pelaksanaan proyek konstruksi jembatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi keterlambatan pelaksanaan proyek EPC jembatan baja. Pendekatan business process reengineering dan teknik pemodelan IDEF0 digunakan dalam mencapai penurunan waktu proses bisnis pada fase procurement proyek jembatan baja. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan perbaikan proses baru berupa 4 skenario perbaikan. Untuk menguji efektivitas masing-masing skenario, dilakukan simulasi menggunakan bantuan software iGrafx. Menggunakan parameter waktu, hasil simulasi menunjukkan skenario 3 menjadi skenario perbaikan terbaik dengan penurunan waktu mencapai 46.64%. ......As an archipelagic state, Indonesia needs a lot of bridges as connective infrastrucuture to support its economic growth. The government program to increase the number of bridges can not be separated from the implementation of the bridge construction project. The purpose of this research is to reduce delays of steel bridge EPC project. Business Process Reengineering approach and IDEF0 modelling technique are used in achieving business process time reduction in the procurement phase of the steel bridge project. This study resulted in the design of a new process improvement in the form of 4 scenarios. To test the effectiveness of each of these scenarios, a simulation is conducted using iGrafx software. The simulation results show that scenario 3 give the most significant result in time reduction, with a percentage reduction up to 46.64%

The book offers a quick-start into model-based business process engineering. After that, the foundations of the modeling languages used are conveyed. Meaningful examples are in the foreground, each of the underlying formalisms is treated only as far as needed. Next the Horus Method is described in detail. The book defines a sequence of activities which finally leads to the creation of a complete business process model. The Horus Method, incidentally, is not bound to the use of the Horus software tools. It can be used with other tools or, if necessary, be used even without tool support. Important application fields of business process engineering are described, where the spectrum ranges from business process reengineering to the development and implementation of information systems. The book concludes with an outlook on the future of business process engineering and highlights current research activities in the area.
