"ABSTRAKKesusastraan Melayu Tionghoa merupakan bagian dari khazanah sastra di Indonesia yang mulai tumbuh pada abad ke-19 hingga abad ke-20. Dalam kurun waktu itu banyak persoalan yang diangkat ke dalam hasil karya sastra tersebut. Persoalan cinta, alam, dan masalah-masalah sosial-politik menjadi tema garapan penulis kala itu. Salah seorang penulis yang menggarap tema percintaan dan sosial adalah Liem Khing Hoo. Salah satu karya dia yang membahas cinta adalah Berjuang melalui novel ini, dia menyoroti problem perselingkuhan dalam rumah tangga. Makalah ini membahas tema perselingkuhan yang terdapat dalam novel Berjuang. Dengan pendekatan intrinsik tema tersebut akan dikaji melalui telaah terhadap unsur-unsur intrinsik. Dari kajian itu disimpulkan bahwa perselingkuhan dapat menghancurkan keutuhan rumah tangga. Akan tetapi, berkat kesabaran dan kasih sayang akhirnya kehancuran itu tidak terjadi. kata kunci : Melayu Tionghoa; unsur intrinsik; perselingkuhan.

ABSTRACTChinese Malay Literature is part of the literary treasures in Indonesia that began to grow in the 19th century until the 20th century. During that time many issues were raised into the literary work. The issues of love, nature, and socio political issues became the theme of the writer 39 s work at that time. One of the writers who worked on the theme of romance and social is Liem Khing Hoo. One of his works that discusses love is Fighting through this novel, he highlights the problem of infidelity in the household. This paper discusses the themes of infidelity contained in the Fighting novel. With the intrinsic approach of the theme will be studied through a study of intrinsic elements. From the study it was concluded that infidelity can destroy the unity of the household. However, thanks to patience and compassion ultimately the destruction did not happen. "ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas modus manipulasi sebagai aspek humor yang terdapat dalam novel Pendekar dari Chapei karya Kwee Tek Hoay. Dalam penelitian ini, modus manipulasi dilakukan oleh beberapa tokoh, yaitu Lie Ke Khiang, Lo Lauw Nio, Gouw Beng Nio, dan Ong Boen Lok sedangkan tokoh yang dimanipulasi adalah Siauw Liep Nio, Lie Ke Khiang, dan Soen Niet Nio. Modus manipulasi yang tergambar dalam skripsi ini tidak semua termasuk ke dalam aspek humor. Bentuk modus manipulasi yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai aspek humor. Berdasarkan konsep tindakan lucu menurut Monro dalam Endahwarni, 1994:34-36 ada empat bentuk tindakan lucu dalam novel, yaitu berbentuk omong kosong atau bualan; kemalangan; pengetahuan, pemikiran, dan keahlian; dan penghinaan yang terselubung. Berdasarkan klasifikasi humor menurut Raskin dalam Endahwarni, 1994:30-31 bentuk manipulasi dapat dimasukkan sebagai aspek humor, yaitu intended humor; ridicule; dan suppression atau repression humor.

ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the manipulation mode as the aspect of humor contained in Kwee Tek Hoay 39s novel Pendekar dari Chapei. In this study, the manipulation mode is performed by several characters, namely Lie Ke Khiang, Lo Lauw Nio, Gouw Beng Nio, and Ong Boen Lok while the manipulated characters are Siauw Liep Nio and Soen Niet Nio. The manipulation modes illustrated in this thesis are not all included in the aspect of humor. The forms of manipulation mode that can be categorized as aspects of humor. According to the theory of humorous act by Monro in Endahwarni, 1994 34 mdash 36 , there are four forms of humorous acts, which are in the form of nonsense words or gibberish misfortune knowledge, thoughts, and expertise and disguised humiliation. According to the classification of humor by Raskin in Endahwarni, 1994 30 mdash 31 , the form of manipulation can be included as an aspect of humor, i.e. intended humor ridicule and suppression or repression humor.
