"Penelitian tesis ini dilakukan untuk menguji efek priming dalam meningkatkan agresivitas, meliputi dimensi penilaian kognitif dan intensi agresivitas. Subjek penelitian adalah personel polisi di Direktorat Sabhara Kepolisian Daerah Metro Jaya berusia 18-40 tahun berjumlah 135 orang yang memiliki tugas utama yaitu pengamanan unjuk rasa dan keramaian. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen dengan menerapkan randomisasi berstrata guna menyeimbangkan kecenderungan trait agresif di ketiga kelompok. Kelompok eksperimen terdiri dari kelompok yang diberikan instruksi penanganan unjuk rasa dengan power (kelompok high priming) dan instruksi penanganan unjuk rasa secara humanis (kelompok low priming), serta satu kelompok kontrol. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan skala yang dikonstruksi berdasarkan konstruk general aggression model (GAM). Prosedur eksperimen diawali dengan stimulasi paparan media (priming) penanganan unjuk rasa, pemberian filler task dan manipulation check, kemudian memanipulasi situasi dengan tayangan situasi krisis unjuk rasa, diakhiri dengan menyebarkan skala pengukuran disertai informed consent. Analisa data menggunakan ANOVA untuk melihat pengaruh efek priming dan uji post-hoc multiple comparisons untuk melihat perbedaan secara parsial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya efek priming secara signifikan terhadap cognitive appraisal dan intensi agresivitas. Hasil ini diharapkan dapat memberi masukan kepada Institusi Polri untuk membuat pedoman mengenai pengamanan unjuk rasa dan keramaian menjadi lebih humanis.

This thesis research was conducted to examine the effects of priming in increasing aggressiveness, including the dimensions of cognitive appraisal and aggressiveness intention. The research subjects were police personnel in Direktorat Sabhara Polda Metro Jaya aged 18-40 years, totaling 135 people whose main task is to secure demonstrations and crowds. The research was conducted using an experimental method by applying stratified randomization to balance aggressive trait tendencies in the three groups. The experimental group consisted of groups that were given instructions on handling protests with power (high priming group) and instructions on handling protests humanely (low priming group), as well as a control group. Measurements were made with a scale constructed based on the general aggression model (GAM) construct. The experimental procedure began with media exposure stimulation (priming) handling demonstrations, providing filler tasks and manipulation checks, then manipulating the situation by showing the demonstration crisis situation, ending with distributing measurement scales accompanied by informed consent. Data analysis used ANOVA to see the effect of priming and post-hoc multiple comparisons test to see partial differences. The results showed a significant priming effect on cognitive appraisal and aggressiveness intention. These results are expected to provide input to the Police Institution to make guidelines regarding the security of demonstrations and crowds more humane."

"Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan inkonsistensi hasil mengenai pengaruh stres akut terhadap kontrol inhibisi meningkatkan atau menurunkan kontrol inhibisi. Dengan demikian, perlu diketahui faktor lain yang dapat menjelaskan mekanisme pengaruh stres akut terhadap kontrol inhibisi. Penilaian kognitif merupakan faktor yang mungkin dapat menjelaskan mekanisme tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh stres akut terhadap kontrol inhibisi dan peran penilaian kognitif sebagai moderator. Partisipan mengerjakan stop-signal task setelah menerima manipulasi stres, yaitu Computerized version of the Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test dengan evaluasi sosial n=43 atau kontrol n=41. Skor penilaian kognitif membagi partisipan ke dalam kelompok threat atau challenge appraisal. Hasil analisis 2 stres vs kontrol x 2 threat vs challenge between-subject ANOVA dengan status menstruasi sebagai kovariat menunjukkan tidak terdapat efek interaksi antara stres akut dan penilaian kognitif terhadap kontrol inhibisi. Analisis lanjutan dilakukan pada kedua kelompok stres dan kontrol secara terpisah dengan menambahkan jenis kelamin sebagai faktor. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peran penilaian kognitif dalam memengaruhi kontrol inhibisi bergantung pada jenis kelamin, hanya pada kelompok stres, F 1,39 = 4,187, p = 0,048, partial ?2=0,099. Penilaian stressor sebagai ancaman memprediksi kontrol inhibisi yang lebih baik pada perempuan dibandingkan laki-laki.

Recent studies indicate that acute stress can affect inhibitory control, however, the results have been inconsistent with respect to the direction of effect i.e., impairing or facilitating. Thus, other variables may play a role in explaining the effect of acute stress on inhibitory control. Cognitive appraisal threat or challenge appraisal may be one underlying factor that needs to be taken into account, given the differences of the stress responses by these appraisals. The current study aimed to examine the effect of acute stress on inhibitory control and whether this effect was moderated by cognitive appraisal. Participants performed stop signal task after receiving stress Computerized version of the Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test PASAT C with social evaluation n 43 or control n 41 manipulation. A 2 stress vs control x 2 threat vs challenge between subject ANOVA with menstruation status as covariance showed that there was no interaction effect of acute stress and cognitive appraisal on inhibitory control. Further analysis was conducted in both groups stress vs control saperately, by adding gender as another fixed factor and showed that the role of cognitive appraisal in influencing inhibitory control depended on gender only in stressed participants, F 1,39-4.187, p .048, partial 2 .099. That is, threat appraisal toward the stressor resulted in better inhibitory control for females, than for males.

"Penelitian ini secara garis besar dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh commuting mental effort terhadap job performance pada karyawan penglaju Commuter Line B (Jalur Bogor – Jakarta Kota). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan structural equation modelling (SEM), beberapa temuan dihasilkan dari data yang telah terkumpul dari 387 responden yang dipilih dari total 435 responden setelah melakukan penyaringan untuk memastikan kualitas data. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa emotional exhaustion memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap job burnout dan job burnout memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap job performance pada karyawan penglaju Commuter Line B. Selain itu, commuting mental effort ditemukan berpengaruh signifikan secara negatif terhadap job performance. Sementara itu, commuting mental effort tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap emotional exhaustion, emotional exhaustion tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap job performance, dan adanya positive commuting cognitive appraisal yang dimiliki karyawan tidak dapat memediasi pengaruh antara commuting mental effort dan emotional exhaustion.

This study was mainly conducted to determine the effect of commuting mental effort on job performance on commuter Line B (Bogor - Jakarta Kota Line) employees. Utilizing the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach, several findings were derived from the data collected from 387 respondents, selected from a total of 435 respondents after screening to ensure data quality. The findings in this study indicate that emotional exhaustion has a significant influence on job burnout and job burnout has a significant influence on the emergence of job performance in commuter line B employees. In addition, mental commuting was found to have a significant negative effect on job performance. Meanwhile, commuting mental effort has no significant effect on emotional exhaustion, emotional exhaustion has no significant effect on job performance, and the existence of positive commuting cognitive appraisal owned by employees cannot mediate the relationship between commuting mental effort and emotional exhaustion."

"Penelitian ini meneliti tentang pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kepuasan kerja tenaga kesehatan di wilayah Jabodetabek yang dimediasi oleh adaptasi stress-coping style (cognitive-appraisal, problem-solving, dan emotion-focused coping style). Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 287 responden tenaga kesehatan saat pandemi Covid-19, di wilayah Jabodetabek. Analisis uji struktural penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) yang menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa 2 dari 4 dimensi kecerdasan emosional yakni self-emotion appraisal dan use of emotion tidak memiliki pengaruh secara langsung terhadap kepuasan kerja. Namun, apabila dimediasi dengan gaya adaptasi terhadap stres (stress coping style) problem solving coping style maka pengaruh kecerdasan emosional signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Sedangkan kedua jenis stress coping style lainnya yakni: cognitive-appraisal coping dan emotion focused coping, tidak memediasi pengaruh dimensi dimensi kecerdasan emosional terhadap kepuasan kerja. Hasil temuan penelitian membuktikan bahwa kemampuan individu dalam memecahkan suatu permasalahan yang dihadapi dapat memediasi kecerdasan emosional terhadap kepuasan kerja tenaga kesehatan di wilayah Jabodetabek saat pandemi Covid-19 berlangsung.

This study examines the influence of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction of health workers in the Greater Jakarta area mediated by stress coping style (cognitive appraisal, problem solving, and emotion focused coping style). This study was conducted during the quarantine period due to the Covid 19 pandemic, which examined 287 respondents who live in the Greater Jakarta area, using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method. The results showed that 2 of 4 emotional intelligence dimensions which are self emotion appraisal and use of emotion did not have a direct effect on job satisfaction. However, if 4 emotional intelligence dimensions are mediated by problem solving coping, it will significantly influenced job satisfaction. Meanwhile, emotional intelligence has a significant influence on 3 stress coping styles which of them are cognitive appraisal coping, problem solving coping, and emotion focused coping. This study found that only problem solving coping that has a significant direct effect on job satisfaction of health workers of 3 stress coping styles that used in covid-19 outbreak."
