ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas transformasi atau perubahan cerita Mahabharata dari
bentuk novel ke bentuk komik. Unsur intrinsik, yaitu alur, tokoh, dan latar dari
komik Mahabharata karya R. A. Kosasih (teks transformasi) dibandingkan
dengan unsur intrinsik dari novel Mahabarata karya M. Saleh (teks hipogram)
untuk menelusuri bentuk-bentuk transformasi yang muncul. Dalam penelusuran
yang dilakukan terhadap kedua teks tersebut ditemukan bahwa alur di dalam
komik mengalami ekspansi, modifikasi, ekserp, dan penghilangan dari hipogram.
Tokoh di dalam komik juga mengalami modifikasi dan ekspansi dari hipogram.
Latar di dalam komik hanya mengalami ekspansi dari hipogram.
AbstractThis thesis focus on the transformation that occur in the Mahabharata story from
novel to comic form. The intrinsic elements such as plot, characters, and setting
from the comic created by R. A. Kosasih (transformation text) compared with the
intrinsic elements of the novel created by M. Saleh (hypogram text) to trace the
transformation that appear. In the search inside these texts, the plot of the comic
experienced the process of expansion, modification, excerption, and removal of
hypogram. The characters in the comic also have been expanded and modificated
from the hypogram. The setting in the comic only have been expanded from the
hypogram.
