This book is suitable for independent study, reference, or coursework at the university level and beyond for experienced engineers and scientists. The chapters are divided in such a way that various courses can be devised to incorporate a subset of chapters to accommodate course requirements. For example, typical course titles include “Image Sensors and Image Processing,” “Computer Vision And Image Processing,” “Applied Computer Vision And Imaging Optimizations,” “Feature Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Network Architectures,” “Computer Vision Architectures,” “Computer Vision Survey.” Questions are available for coursework at the end of each chapter. It is recommended that this book be used as a omplement to other fine books, open source code, and hands-on materials for study in computer vision and related scientific disciplines, or possibly used by itself for a higher-level survey course.

Komputer belakangan ini menjadi kebutuhan utama bagi pekerja dalam menyelesaikan berbagai tugas. Semakin banyak pekerja mengalami keluhan okular maupun non okular terkait dengan penggunaan komputer yang dikenal sebagai gejala Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor risiko CVS dengan menggunakan desain studi cross sectional pada 67 responden. Pengambilan data pada penelitian menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan pengukuran langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 56,7% responden mengalami keluhan subjektif CVS dengan keluhan yang paling banyak dirasakan adalah nyeri pundak (61,2%), nyeri leher (59,7%), dan eyestrain (56,7%). Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan keluhan CVS adalah pola istirahat kerja, durasi penggunaan komputer, posisi layar komputer, dan kesalahan refraksi mata. Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara jarak antara mata dengan komputer dan keluhan subjektif CVS dan intensitas pencahayaan ruang ditemukan sebagai faktor konfonding. ......As computers become part of work necessity, more workers experiencing a variety of ocular and non ocular symptoms related to computer use, known as Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). This study?s aim is to analyze Computer Vision Syndrome risk factors. This is a cross-sectional study with 67 employees involved as respondent and the data were collected with questionnaire, interview, observation, and direct measurement. The results shows that the prevalence of CVS subjective symptoms was found to be 56,7% with most complaints are shoulder pain (61,2%), neck pain (59,7%), dan eyestrain (56,7%). Rest break, duration of computer use, monitor position, and refractive error are significantly associated with Computer Vision Syndrome. There was no significantly association between eye and monitor distance and Computer Vision Syndrome and workplace lighting was found to be confounding factor.

Abstrak :
This book describes one of the first systems for sparse point-based 3D reconstruction and egomotion estimation from an image sequence; able to run in real-time at video frame rate and assuming quite weak prior knowledge about camera calibration, motion or scene. Its chapters unify the current perspectives of the robotics and computer vision communities on the 3D vision topic : as usual in robotics sensing, the explicit estimation and propagation of the uncertainty hold a central role in the sequential video processing and is shown to boost the efficiency and performance of the 3D estimation. On the other hand, some of the most relevant topics discussed in SfM by the computer vision scientists are addressed under this probabilistic filtering scheme, namely projective models, spurious rejection, model selection and self-calibration.

Penterjemah barcode merupakan salah satu penelitian dalam bidang computer vision. Secara sederhana, computer vision ingin membangun sebuah mesin cerdas yang mempunyai kemampuan melihat seperti makhluk hidup. Sistem penterjemah ini bekerja dengan cara mencari lokasi dari barcode tersebut, mensegmentasi setiap karakter yang ada dari barcode tersebut dan kemudian mengenali setiap karakter tersebut dengan menggunakan teknik template matching. Template Matching adalah solusi sederhana jika karakter yang ingin dikenali memiliki jenis dan ukuran yang sama. Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan Visual C++, dan Visual C++ Imaging Library. Aplikasi yang dibangun ini dapat mengenali barcode yang terdapat dalam sebuah citra pada tahapan pengujian dengan prosentase keakuratan 50 %.
