"Skripsi ini membahas peran bimbingan konseling terhadap rekognisi siswa dalam kajian sosiologi pendidikan. Rekognisi siswa tersebut dilihat dari survey yang dilakukan di SMA Islam Al-Azhar 4 Kemangpratama. Bagaimana rekognisi siswa terbentuk, apa saja peran bimbingan konseling yang dapat mempengaruhi rekognisi siswa. Studi ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara mendalam dan data sekunder. Hasil studi ini menunjukan hubungan yang lemah antara peran bimbingan konseling terhadap rekognisi siswa. Serta memiliki arah hubungan yang positif. Hal ini disebabkan oleh struktur sekolah dan bimbingan konseling itu sendiri dalam mendefinisikan perannya di sekolah.

This paper discusses the recognition of the role of counseling the students in the study of the sociology of education. Recognition of the students' views of the survey that occur in the Al-Azhar 4 Kemangpratama Islamic Highschool. How recognition formed, anything that can affect the recognition of the role of student counseling. The study uses a quantitative approach using questionnaires, in depth interview and secondary data.

Results of this study show weak of the relationship between role of counseling towards students' recognition as well as having a positive direction of the relationship. This is caused by the structure of the school and how counsellor defines their role in school."
