Laporan praktik keinsinyuran ini menggambarkan kondisi aktual yang terjadi selama proses pembuatan desain engineering detail pada tahap EPC proyek RDMP Balikpapan khususnya pada fase Engineering di PT Rekayasa Industri sebagai anggota Joint Operation (JO) untuk referensi pada fase berikutnya yakni Procurement dan konstruksi. Hasil pengamatan dari praktik keinsinyuran ini menyarankan alur kerja yang sistematis dan terstruktur serta memperhatikan seluruh aspek disiplin ilmu dan aspek keamanan yang seharusnya dapat diimplementasikan pada mega proyek secara menyeluruh untuk menghindari potensi terjadinya pekerjaan tambahan atau pekerjaan ulang pada fase konstruksi.

This Engineering Practice Report discusses 3D Model Review for EPC Mega Project Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) Balikpapan starting from the stage of adjusting the project scope of work, managing inter-discipline 3D Models to producing material take off (MTO) from each discipline according to finalized engineering design. This engineering practice report describes the actual conditions that occur during the process of making detailed engineering design at the EPC stage of the RDMP Balikpapan project, especially in the Engineering phase at PT Rekayasa Industri as a member of the Joint Operation (JO) for reference in the next phase, namely Procurement and Construction. The observation results of this engineering practice suggest a systematic and structured workflow and pay attention to all aspects of discipline and safety aspects that should be implemented in mega projects as a whole to avoid potential additional work or rework in the construction phase."
