Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat perubahan Berat Badan (BB), Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan Persentase Lemak Tubuh (PLT) pelanggan CateringSlimGourmet pada sebelum dan sesudah dua minggu diberikan diet rendah karbohidrat. Variabel independen dari penelitian ini adalah status gizi (nilai BB, IMT dan PLT) pada sebelum dan sesudah penelitian. Sedangkan variabel dependen adalah pemberian diet rendah karbohidrat. Penelitian ini adalah menggunakan data kuantitatif primer dan sekunder. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimental dengan teknik pengembangan longitudinal. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Catering SlimGourmet, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan. Jumlah sampel minimal adalah sejumlah 35 orang, didapatkan dengan cara purposive sampling. Sampel yang terlibat sejumlah 40 orang, yaitu seluruh pelanggan diet rendah karbohidrat di Catering SlimGourmet. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen microtoise, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, Global Physical Analysis Questionnare (GPAQ) versi 2, form food recall 48 jam dan alat tulis dan software komputer Nutrisurvey 2007 serta SPSS 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan BB, IMT dan PLT secara bermakna setelah dua minggu diberikan diet rendah karbohidrat (P<0,05) dan dipengaruhi oleh jenis kelamin dan aktivitas fisik (P<0,05). Hasil penelitian sesuai dengan Dari hasil penelitian disarankan CateringSlimGourmet dapat mengurangi pemberian karbohidrat sederhana, meningkatkan protein nabati, serat, memberikan siklus menu terhadap pelanggan, memantau kondisi kesehatan, daya terima makanan dan kebiasaan makan pelanggan terdahulu serta mengembangkan program diet lain dengan komposisi zat gizi mikro dan makro berbeda untuk menjaga kesehatan. Disarankan kepada pelanggan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas fisik dan tidak terlalu lama menjalankan diet rendah karbohidrat dengan durasi maksimal enam bulan (dilanjutkan dengan diet seimbang).
This study was aimed to compare Body weight (BW), Body Mass Index (BMI) and Body Fat Percentage (BFP) changes after two weeks of low carbohydrate diet adduction in SlimGourmetCatering. The independent variable in this study was nutrition status (BW, BMI and BFP) before and after low carbohydrate diet adduction. The dependent variable was low carbohydrate adduction. This study used both primary and secondary datas. This was an experimental study that utilizes quantitatedata through measurements and interviews. This study was located at SlimGourmet Catering, KebayoranBaru, South Jakarta. The minimal number of subject; which was 35 people, was obtained by using purposive sampling calculation. There were 40 people contributed as subjects in this study, and they were all costumers of low carbohydrate diet in SlimGourmet Catering. Data was collected using instruments such as microtoise, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis, Global Physical Analysis Questionnare (GPAQ) version 2, 48 hours food recall form dan stationaries and computer softwares (Nutrisurvey 2007 and SPSS 16.0). After two weeks assigned to low carbohydrate diet, subjects had significantly reduced BW, BMI and BFP (P<0,05) and the process was significantly affected by sex and physical activity (P<0,05). Researcher recommendsSlimGourmet Catering to improve their low carbohydrate diet program by reducing the amount of simple carbohydrate, add more vegetable protein, add more fiber sources, give meal schedules to clients, monitoring medical condition, dietary history of the clients, and develop other advantageous diet with different composition of macro- and micro nutrients for general health. Researcher recommends clients to increase exercise, and limit the duration of low carbohydrate diet and replace it gradually with balanced diet.

Keberhasilan terapi hemodialisis (HD) dapat terhambat dengan adanya malnutrisi atau Protein Energy Wasting (PEW) akibat asupan gizi kurang, abnormalitas metabolisme terutama asam amino, fungsi residual ginjal dan dosis dialisis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi dan konseling gizi intensif terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, perilaku kepatuhan diet dan status gizi pasien HD. Lokasi penelitian untuk pengambilan data kelompok perlakuan di Unit Hemodialisis Rumah Sakit Islam Jakarta Cempaka Putih dan untuk kelompok kontrol di Rumah Sakit Islam Jakarta Pondok Kopi. Penelitian menggunakan randomized pretest-posttest control group design dengan sampel 77 pasien (38 orang pria (50.6%) dan 39 orang wanita (49.4%)), rata-rata usia 46.71 ± 9.40 tahun. Didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan (p=0,0001) dan sikap (p = 0,0001) serta profil perilaku kepatuhan diet lebih baik (p = 0,0001). Intervensi ini efektif meningkatkan asupan energi (p = 0,012) dan lemak (p = 0,0001) serta selisih akhir asupan protein dan asupan karbohidrat lebih tinggi meskipun belum signifikan(p= 0,102 dan 0,091). Peningkatan IMT perlakuan lebih tinggi (0,25 + 0,27 vs 0,18 + 0,18 kg/m2) meskipun tidak signifikan (p = 0,744 & 0,856). Rata-rata LLA cenderung tetap (Δ 0.00 + 0,13 cm, p = 1,000), sementara kelompok kontrol menurun (-0.24 + 0.01cm, p=0,789). Rata-rata trisep skinfold cenderung meningkat sementara kelompok kontrol cenderung menurun (Δ 0.44 + 0.11 mm vs -0.24 + 0.02 mm, p= 0,737, 0,880). Terjadi peningkatan rata-rata persentase lemak total pada kedua kelompok, dan peningkatan pada kelompok kontrol lebih tinggi (0.79 + 1.93% vs 0.23 + 0.87%), meskipun belum signifikan(p=0.913 dan 0,766). Rata-rata massa otot kedua kelompok menurun dan penurunan kelompok kontrol lebih tinggi (-0.36 + 0.30 kg dan -0.31 + 0.66 kg, p=0.894 dan 0,874). Rata-rata persentase cairan tubuh total kelompok perlakuan menurun dan penurunan kelompok perlakuan lebih tinggi (-0.56 + 1.31% vs -0.52 + 4.39%) meskipun belum signifikan (p=0.813 dan 0,644). Status hidrasi pasien sangat fluktuatif dan memungkinkan pengaruh terhadap estimasi komposisi tubuh dalam penelitian ini. Edukasi dan konseling gizi intensif terbukti efektif dalam peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku diet, signifikan terhadap asupan energi dan lemak, profil asupan protein dan karbohidrat yang lebih baik meskipun belum bermakna, profil IMT, LLA dan trisep skinfold serta massa otot dan persentase cairan yang lebih baik dibanding kelompok kontrol meskipun belum signifikan. ......The effectiveness of haemodialysis could inhibited by dietary nonadherence mainly due to lack of protein and energy intake that caused Protein Energy Wasting (PEW). PEW also caused by poor nutrient intake, abnormal nutrient metabolism (amino acids), renal residual function and dialysis dose. We studied impact of education and intensive nutrition counseling on hemodialysis patient's knowledge, attitude, dietary compliance and nutritional status. The study was conducted at Jakarta Islamic Hospital region of Cempaka Putih and Pondok Kopi. The study used random pretest-posttest control group design and of 77 patients, 38 were man (50.6%) and 39 were woman (49.4%), the mean of age was 46.71 ± 9.40 years old. There were increased knowledge (p = 0.0001), increased attitudes (p= 0.0001) and better diet compliance profile (p=0.0001). The intervention was significantly effective on increasing intake of energy (p=0.012), fat (p=0,0001), and higher difference in protein intake and carbohydrate intake but not significant (p=0,102 and 0,091). There was increase but not significant in BMI (0,25 + 0,27 vs 0,18 + 0,18 kg/m2, p = 0,744 and 0,856) and tricep skinfold (Δ 0.44 + 0.11mm vs -0.24 + 0.02 mm, p= 0,737 and 0,880). There was no improvement in MUAC (Δ 0.00 + 0,13 cm, p = 1,000) but decrease in control group (-0.24 + 0.01cm, p=0,789) eventhough not significant. Despite these are not statistically significant, there were improvement on percentage total fat (0.23 + 0.87% + 0.79 + 1.93% vs p=0.913 and 0,766), declining on muscle mass (-0.31 + 0.66 kg -dan 0.36 + 0.30 kg, p=0.894 and 0,874) and declining on percentage body water (-0.56 + 1.31% vs -0.52 + 4.39%, p=0.813 dan 0,644). The patient's hydration status was highly fluctuate and allows an influence on body composition estimates in this study. Education and intensive nutrition counselling was found to be effective in improving knowledge, attitudes, diet compliance behavior profile, significant improving energy and fat intake. In addition the intervention of this study provides a better profile of protein and carbohydrate intake, a better profile of BMI, MUAC, tricep skinfold, muscle mass, and percentage body water although not significant yet.

Nano kalsium adalah kalsium fosfat yang memiliki ukuran partikel 50 - 150 nm . Ukuran yang kecil ini diharapkan dapat diserap lebih efektif ke dalam peredaran darah untuk selanjutnya dideposisi di tulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian nano kalsium pada diet terhadap serapan kalsium dalam tulang di hewan model tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) strain Sprague dawley yang pada umumnya berusia 2 bulan. Sejumlah 50 ekor tikus mendapat perlakuan asupan nano kalsium dan variasi dosis kalsium, pada diet konvensional 20 ekor dan purified diet 30 ekor. Persiapan sampel femur dan tibia: tahap pertama, 16 ekor tikus diberi diet konvensional dengan pemeliharaan 5 minggu. Pada percobaan tahap pertama, menggunakan faktorial 2 X 2, faktor umur (2 dan 5 bulan) dan faktor diet (kontrol dan nano) lalu 4 ekor tikus usia 2 bulan lainnya dipelihara selama 3 dan 4 minggu. Selanjutnya pada tahap kedua, 12 ekor tikus umur 2 bulan diberi purified diet dan dipelihara 4, 7, dan 10 minggu, mendapat dua perlakuan yaitu kontrol dan nano. Sisanya 18 ekor tikus umur 2 bulan dipelihara 4 dan 10 minggu, diberi variasi dosis nano kalsium dengan dosis 0,5 dari kebutuhan normal kalsium, dosis 1,0 yang sesuai kebutuhan normal kalsium dan dosis 1,5 dari kebutuhan normal kalsium. Karakterisasi sampel: sampel femur dan tibia yang telah dihilangkan zat organiknya dengan larutan hydrazine, dilakukan pengukuran kandungan: mineral, kalsium, karbonat dan fosfat. Selain pengukuran itu, juga diperoleh struktur fase, morfologi dan komposisi elemen femur (distal epiphysis) pada posisi penampang melintang. Dalam melakukan karakterisasi sampel, ada yang mendapat perlakuan panas dan tidak. Dari hasil penelitian ini secara umum diperoleh informasi bahwa pemberian ataupun penambahan kalsium fosfat dalam bentuk partikel nano pada diet tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan pada kandungan mineral dalam tulang, namun perlakuan pada percobaan menunjukkan peningkatan serapan kalsium (P<0,01). Kemudian lebih jauh lagi diperoleh informasi bahwa fase femur dan tibia berada dalam sebagian besar fase kristalin namun dalam ukuran kecil-kecil.
Nano calcium is calcium phosphate which has a particle size of 50-150 nm. The small size is expected to be absorbed more effectively into the bloodstream to further deposited in bone. The experiment aims to study the effect of nano calcium allotment diet towards calcium absorpotion in the 2-month-old white rats (Rattus norvegicus) bone. Fifty rats treated nano calcium intake and calcium dose variation, on a conventional diet 20 rats and 30 rats purified diet. Femur and tibia samples preparation : first step, 16 rats were given a conventional diet with 5 weeks of maintenance. In the first step of experiment, use 2X2 factorial, age factor (2 and 5 months) and diet factor (control and nano). Then 2-month-old 4 rats others maintained for 3 and 4 weeks. The second step, 12 rats 2-month-old were given purified diet and maintained for 4, 7 and 10 weeks, received two treatments that are control and nano. The rest 18 rats aged 2 months maintained 4 and 10 weeks, were given a dose variation nano calcium to 0.5 of normal calcium requirements, the appropriate dose of 1.0 normal requirement of calcium and a dose of 1.5 from the normal requirement of calcium. Characterization of samples: sample femur and tibia that has been removed with a solution of hydrazine organic substances, measurement of content; mineral, calcium, carbonate and phosphate. In addition to the measurement, it also obtained the phase structure, morphology and composition of the elements of the femur (distal epiphysis) on the position of the cross section. In characterization process, some samples were heat-treated. From these results, it is generally obtained information that giving or the addition of calcium phosphate in the form of nanoparticles in the diet did not have a significant influence on the mineral content in the bones, however the treatments in the experiment showed enhancement of calcium absorption (P<0,01). And for furthermore get information that the minimal of femur and tibia were in most of the crystalline phase, but in a small size.
