"Coupled drives apparatus adalah suatu sistem multivariabel yang dirancang untuk menunjukkan pengendalian kecepatan motor dan tension material. Sistem ini, dengan penggerak yang saling berinteraksi, banyak digunakan dalam aplikasi industri. Coupled drives apparatus mempakan sistem dengan dua masukan dan dua keluaran. Masukannya berupa dua buah motor DC, sedangkan keluarannya berupa kecepatan dan rension. Dalam tesis ini, dilakukan perancangan pengendali optimal kuadratik dan pra kompensator dengan menggunakan model-model diskrit, yang didapat dari respon lingkar terbuka sistem (kecepatan dan tension). Pengujian hasil perancangan sistem pengendali dilakukan dengan simulasi menggunakan program Matlab - Simulink dan memberikan hasil yang baik.
Coupled drives apparatus is a multivariable system designed to demonstrate how to control motor speed and material tension. This system, with an interacting drives, is used in many industrial application. Coupled drives apparatus is a two input - two output (TITO) system. The inputs are two dc motors, and the outputs are speed and tension. In this thesis, we design this system with quadratic optimal controller and pre compensator based on discrete models, which get from open loop speed and tension response. The result from controller system design tested with simulation using Matlab - Simulink, and the result is good."

ABSTRAKMotor listrik adalah motor yang mengubah energi listrik menjadi energi mekanik. Motor listrik yang juga banyak digunakan dalam aplikasi rumah tangga adalah motor induksi. Banyak peralatan rumah tangga yang menerapkan prinsip kerja motor telah menerapkan teknologi penggerak AC. Konfigurasi drive AC yang paling banyak digunakan adalah VSI yang dibantu oleh PWM. Ini dimaksudkan untuk menghasilkan tegangan AC frekuensi variabel untuk kontrol beban seperti motor atau kompresor. Aplikasi dari penggerak AC ditemukan di banyak peralatan rumah tangga seperti pendingin udara, lemari es, penyedot debu, pompa air dan lainnya. Pada drive AC, sumber disturbansi ditemukan dalam proses PWM. Dimana dalam proses ini inverter menghasilkan gangguan terutama ketika inverter bekerja. Penggunaan teknologi ini diprediksi akan menimbulkan gangguan pada rentang frekuensi 9-150 kHz. Namun, standardisasi dalam rentang frekuensi ini masih sangat tidak memadai, sehingga upaya untuk membatasi jumlah gangguan masih sangat sedikit. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pencarian karakteristik gangguan pada peralatan rumah tangga yang menggunakan prinsip kerja motor untuk kinerja peralatan rumah tangga saat mulai dalam kondisi stabil. Peralatan rumah tangga yang digunakan adalah AC inverter, inverter kulkas dan penyedot debu. Sehingga parameter output dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk penelitian dalam memprediksi, menganalisis dan mengetahui efek gangguan yang ditimbulkan pada sistem kelistrikan dan pekerjaan peralatan lainnya.
ABSTRACTElectric motor is a motor that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Electric motors which are also widely used in household applications are induction motors. Many household appliances that apply the principle of motor work have applied AC drive technology. The most widely used AC drive configuration is VSI which is assisted by PWM. This is intended to produce variable frequency AC voltage for load control such as motors or compressors. Applications of AC drives are found in many household appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, water pumps and others. On an AC drive, the source of the disturbances is found in the PWM process. Where in this process the inverter produces interference especially when the inverter is working. The use of this technology is predicted to cause interference in the frequency range of 9-150 kHz. However, standardization in this frequency range is still very inadequate, so efforts to limit the amount of interference is still very little. This study focuses on the search for interference characteristics in household appliances that use motor work principles for the performance of household appliances when starting in stable conditions. Household appliances used are AC inverter, refrigerator inverter and vacuum cleaner. So that the output parameters can be used as a reference for research in predicting, analyzing and knowing the effects of disturbance caused by electrical systems and other equipment work."
