"Penerapan nilai-nilai moral Islami menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang ada pada sekolah Islam. Terdapat inkonsistensi antara moralitas yang diajarkan di kelas dengan moralitas pada kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Studi-studi terdahulu hanya memaparkan aspek kurikulum yang hanya memberikan pengetahuan tentang moral Islam, tetapi tidak pada level praktik di sekolah Islam dan guru yang kurang bisa menjadi role model dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai Islami pada siswa-siswinya, menjadi faktor utama berhasil-tidaknya penerapan nilai-nilai moral Islami pada siswa-siswi di sekolah Islam. Melengkapi studi-studi sebelumnya, argumentasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perilaku Islami juga dibentuk dari tiga hal lain, yakni latar belakang religiusitas keluarga, budaya hedonisme, dan teman sebaya serta deviant culture yang ada pada ruang lingkup pertemanan siswa-siswi di sekolah Islam. Studi ini secara khusus menggambarkan perilaku Islami yang inkonsisten pada siswa-siswi sekolah X, di Kota Jakarta Selatan dan faktor yang melatarbelakangi keinkonsistenan tersebut. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa inkonsistensi perilaku moral Islami pada siswa-siswi di sekolah Islam juga dapat disebabkan oleh hal-hal lain yang sifatnya eksternal atau di luar sekolah, yaitu oleh tiga argumen utama penelitian ini.

The implementation of Islamic morality values and ethics are one of those problematic things found in Islamic school. There is an inconsistency between Islamic morality values that had been thought in the class to the students and in the implementation of them in the students’ daily basis life. Several studies before shows that only curriculum aspect that only taught the students cognitively about Islamic morality values and ethics, not until the practical levels or on how it is supposed to be implemented, and the teacher that less likely could be a role model in implementing Islamic morality values and ethics, as main factor of either the implementation of the Islamic morality values and ethics would be succeeded or not. In completing previous studies, arguments of this research are religiosity background of the family, the hedonism culture, and peer circumstances of the students in the Islamic school. This studies specifically pictures the Islamic behavior of students in the school X, in South Jakarta region and what factors that could support those Islamic behaviors. This studies uses qualitative method, and the data are gathered through the in-depth interview. The result of this research shows that those inconsistencies might occur because of external factors, which are the main arguments of this studies. "

"In Indonesia, as elsewhere in Asia, education will inevitably play a key role in the national development experience as the twenty-first century unfolds. Not much international attention is paid to how the education sector is faring in Indonesia, but that is not because nothing is happening. The past decade has seen major changes in the structure of the education system and in the schooling trajectories of Indonesian children and adolescents. The administration of primary and secondary education has been decentralized to the regions. A new paradigm of school-based management has been introduced. Public spending on education has finally reached one-fifth of total government spending, as required by law. But although enrolment rates at all levels continue to increase, the quality of education remains low and has not improved, and the tertiary sector continues to experience problems of autonomy and unsatisfactory performance."

"ABSTRAK
Pondok pesantren di Indonesia saat ini cenderung mengalami perubahan dari pesantren tradisional menjadi pesantren modern. Pesantren modern biasanya menggunakan label Islamic Modern Boarding School yang terlihat menerapkan biaya yang mahal, hal ini berbeda dengan biaya pada pondok pesantren tradisional. Berdasarkan studi literatur sebelumnya ditemukan bahwa terdapat kompetisi dan komersialisasi pada lembaga pendidikan Islam. Sehingga ada beberapa pondok pesantren yang memberikan opsi biaya asrama. Penulis berargumen dengan berkembangnya masyarakat muslim kelas menengah di perkotaan mendorong komersialisasi dalam pendidikan Islam. Meskipun melakukan komersialisasi, sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam pesantren modern masih menganggap modal spiritual sebagai hal yang penting. Pondok pesantren modern dapat berperan sebagai agen sosialisasi dalam menciptakan identitas para santri menjadi muslim modern. Pada artikel ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder dari pondok pesantren serta beberapa penelitian sebelumnya yang sejenis. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Al-Adzkar Pamulang.

ABSTRACT
Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia tend to change from a traditional boarding school into a modern boarding school. Modern boarding school usually uses the ldquo Islamic Modern Boarding School rdquo label that seem have an expensive cost, differently from the traditional boarding school cost. Based on previous studies, it was found that there is competition and commercialization in Islamic education institutions. Because of that commercialization, many Islamic Boarding School gives some option for santri to stay at dormitory that boarding school serve. The writer argues that the development of middle class muslim in cities pushed the commercialization in the education of Islam. Although doing commercialize, modern boarding school as an education of Islam still considers spiritual capital as important thing. However, the consequences of commercialization cause the majority of modern boarding students come from the mid high class. Modern boarding school can act as an agent of socialization in creating the identity of the students into a modern Muslim. In this research, the writer use a qualitative method. The research was using primary data and secondary data from the boarding school and some previous of studies that simmilar. This research was conducted in Pondok Pesantren Al Adzkar, Pamulang."

"Tujuan pendidikan dalam Islam adalah meningkatkan kualitas diri agar dapat beribadah kepada Allah SWT dengan lebih baik. Peningkatan kualitas tersebut dicapai dengan meningkatkan kualitas individu dari segala aspek, salah satunya aspek kesehatan dan aspek religius. Sebagai negara dengan mayoritas penduduknya muslim, pendidikan yang dijalankan di Indonesia sudah seharusnya diarahkan agar dapat mencapai tujuan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan data IFLS5, penelitian ini berusaha melihat apakah pendidikan di Indonesia sudah mengarah ke peningkatan kualitas aspek kesehatan dan aspek religius. Hal itu dilakukan dengan melihat pengaruh tingkat pendidikan terhadap gaya hidup halal. Gaya hidup halal didefinisikan sebagai cara hidup seseorang yang mengikuti tuntunan Islam, yaitu memenuhi kebutuhan fisik yang sehat dan kebutuhan rohani yang religius. Untuk mengatasi endogenitas dari variabel independen tingkat pendidikan, penelitian ini menggunakan variabel instrumen. Dengan menggunakan metode IV probit, generalized ordered logit, dan IV regression, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh positif terhadap kebiasaan merokok, melakukan pemeriksaan rutin, frekuensi mendatangi acara keagamaan, penilaian ketaatan diri, dan frekuensi salat dalam sehari.

The aim of education in Islam is to improve human quality to be able to worship Allah SWT better. This can be achieved by improving the quality of individuals from all aspects, one of which is health and religious aspects. As a country with Muslim population majority, education in Indonesia should include those aspects to achieve the goal. Using IFLS data, this study wants to check whether education in Indonesia has achieved an improvement in the quality of health and religious aspects. This is done by looking at the influence of education level to halal lifestyle. Halal lifestyle is defined as a way of life that is conforming with Islamic guidance, in this case fulfilling healthy physics and religious spiritual needs. To overcome the endogeneity of education level variable, this research uses instrument variables. Using the IV probit method, generalized ordered logit, and IV regression, this study shows that education affect positively for not having smoking habits, conducts routine medical checkup, religious event attendance, subjective religiousity, and frequency of prayer in a day."
