"Jurnal ini membahas krisis eksistensial yang dialami seorang transpuan dalam film GIRL (2018). Film ini dibuat berdasarkan kisah yang dialami oleh seorang transpuan yang bercita-cita ingin menjadi balerina profesional dan harus berjuang menghadapi permasalahan dalam meraihnya. Konflik yang dihadapi tokoh dimulai dari konflik dalam batinnya yang berkecamuk, hubungannya dengan keluarga, hingga pengakuan dalam kelompok pertemanannya. Konflik yang begitu kompleks ditampilkan dengan memanfaatkan teknik sinematografi yang beragam. Pembahasan krisis eksistensi yang dialami transpuan dalam film ini dijabarkan dengan analisis struktur, fokalisasi, dan sinematografi.

This journal discusses the existence crisis experienced by a trans woman in the film GIRL (2018). This film is based on a story experienced by a trans woman who aspires to become a professional ballerina and must struggle to face problems in achieving it. The conflicts that the characters face, start from the inner conflict that rages on, her relationship with her family, the recognition in their group of friends. Such complex conflicts are displayed using various cinematographic techniques. Analysis of the existence crisis experienced by trans women in this film is described by structural analysis, focalization, and cinematography."

"[ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas subordinasi tokoh utama perempuan di dalam novel Burung-Burung Rantau (1992) karya Y. B. Mangunwijaya dengan mencermati narasi danfokalisasi. Pencermatan terhadap narasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan tekniknaratif yang dikemukakan Genette (1980) dan telaah terhadap fokalisasi dilakukandengan pendekatan fokalisasi Kenan (2003). "ABSTRAKPermasalahan segregasi rasial yang memisahkan orang kulit putih dan kulit hitam yang mengemuka di Amerika pada tahun 1960-an masih saja didiskusikan hingga saat ini dalam berbagai sektor kehidupan termasuk dalam karya sastra. The Help 2009 memperlihatkan hubungan perempuan beda ras yang harmonis di Amerika berlatar periode tersebut. Perbedaan gambaran ini menarik untuk diteliti lebih lanjut. Tesis ini mencermati konstruksi sisterhood antar ras dengan mencermati struktur narasi, khususnya fokalisasi yang digagas oleh Mieke Bal 1999 . Selain itu, pemahaman konsep sisterhood oleh bell hooks juga digunakan dalam tesis ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks menawarkan bentuk sisterhood baru yang mewadahi semua perempuan sebagai alternatif dari bentuk sisterhood sesama ras. Meskipun teks mengusung nilai kesetaraan, masih terlihat keberpihakan teks terhadap kulit putih yang menunjukkan bahwa teks tidak terlepas dari zamannya. Teks membawa ide kontemporer pada konteks 1960-an sehingga pada akhirnya terlihat bahwa perbedaan warna kulit memang tidak dapat diterima baik pada komunitas kulit putih maupun kulit hitam.Kata Kunci : Fokalisasi, Hubungan Perempuan, Segregasi Rasial, Sisterhood.

ABSTRACT The issue of racial segregation that separated black and white people, which highlighted the life in America during 1960s, is still being discussed on various sectors of life including in literary works. The Help 2009 shows the harmonic relationship between women with different races in America on that period of time. This perspective is interesting to be analyzed. This thesis analyzes the construction of sisterhood between races using narrative structure, especially focalization initiated by Mieke Bal 1999 . In addition, an understanding of sisterhood concept by bell hooks is also used in this thesis. The results show that the text offers a new form of sisterhood that accommodates all women as an alternative from the form of the previous existing sisterhood. Although the text carries the value of equality, the text tends to take side to the white people which shows that the text is inseparable from its period. The text carries contemporary ideas in the 1960s context so it is certain that skin color differences are unacceptable to both white and black communities. "ABSTRAKJurnal ini menganalisis fokalisasi yang terdapat pada cerpen Bincheo karya Eun Hee Kyung yang terbit pada tahun 1996. Cerpen ini menceritakan kehidupan dari pernikahan sepasang suami dan istri yang tidak bahagia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah cerpen ini berfokalisasi internal jenis variable melalui penggunaan kata ganti orang pertama berupa ? na yang berarti saya atau aku dan adanya pergantian fokus antara tokoh ldquo;aku rdquo; suami dan tokoh ldquo;aku rdquo; istri , yang dibedakan melalui narasi yang terdapat pada cerpen. Fokalisator pada cerpen ini mengetahui pikiran atau pendapat kedua tokoh dan juga mengetahui perasaan yang dirasakan oleh kedua tokoh, seolah-olah ia menjadi kedua tokoh itu sendiri.

ABSTRACTThis journal analyzes the focalization in Eun Hee Kyung 39;s Bincheo short story published in 1996. This story tells about the marriage life of an unhappy couple. Qualitative researched method is used in this research. The result of this research is this short story has internal focalization with the type of variable through the use of the ldquo;first person rdquo; in the form of ? na which means me or I and there is a focus shift between the I husband and the I wife character who is differentiated through narration in the short story. The focalisator in this short story knows the thoughts or opinions and the feelings felt by the two characters as if he was the two characters themselves."

"Tesis ini akan mengkaji novel berjudul The Woman In Cabin 10, sebuah novel bergenre triler psikologis karya dari Ruth Ware, dengan persepektif feminis. Pembahasan tesis menjawab permasalahan subjektivitas perempuan di tengah-tengah budaya patriarkal, yang terkonstruksi dan mendiskreditkan perempuan. Tokoh utama dalam novel ini, Laura Blacklock, melakukan usaha melawan dominasi kuasa laki-laki dan berjuang untuk terbebas dari laki-laki yang mengontrolnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Laura Blacklock, sebagai narator primer-fokalisator, memperlihatkan perubahan identitas dan kecenderungan akan ideologi ambivalensi. Melalui narasi dan fokalisasi, tokoh utama yang merupakan seorang perempuan memperlihatkan usaha untuk melepaskan diri dari kontrol dominasi kuasa yang menyebabkan hadirnya subordinasi, diskriminasi, dan perubahan kesadaran identitasnya. Kesimpulan dari tesis ini adalah narasi dan fokalisasi tunggal teks merupakan penjabaran ideologi ambivalensi yang dapat mengaburkan batas antara posisi tokoh utama antara objek dan subjek, membalikkan posisi objek-subjek, dan bahkan memberikan kesadaran bagi tokoh perempuan lain akan objektifikasi dan dominasi kuasa laki-laki yang mampu memberikan penilaian dan mengkritik budaya patriarki.

This thesis will examine a novel entitled The Woman In Cabin 10, a psychological thriller novel by Ruth Ware, with a feminist perspective. The thesis discussion answers the problem of women's subjectivity in the midst of a patriarchal culture, which is constructed and discredits women. The main character in this novel, Laura Blacklock, struggles to fight against the domination of male power and struggles to be free from the men who control her. The results of the analysis show that Laura Blacklock's character, as the primary narrator-focalizer, shows a change in identity and a tendency to ideological ambivalence. Through narration and focalization, the main character, who is a woman, shows an effort to escape from the control of domination of power that causes subordination, discrimination, and changes in her identity awareness. The conclusion of this thesis is that the narrative and single focalization of the text are the elaboration of ambivalence ideology that can blur the line between the main character's position between object and subject, reverse the position of object-subject, and even provide awareness for other female characters of the objectification and domination of male power which is able to evaluate and criticize the patriarchal culture."

Film diangkat dari buku dengan judul sama, berkisah tentang seorang anak Belanda yang hidup di masa Perang Dunia II dan harus berhadapan dengan ayah yang berbeda prinsip dengannya. Konflik yang dihadapi sang anak bukan hanya dengan ayah, tetapi juga tentara Jerman dan pamannya. Berbagai konflik itu masing-masing ditunjukkan dengan pemanfaatan teknik sinematografi yang berbeda. Pembahasan relasi ayah dan anak dan konflik-konflik yang ada dalam film ini dilakukan dengan analisis struktur, fokalisasi dan sinematografi.

ABSTRACTThis journal analyzes the relationship between son main character and father in the movie Oorlogswinter 2008 . The film is adapted from a book with the same title which tells a story of a dutch boy who lives in the time of World War II and has to deal with his father who has different principles from him. The child also has conflicts with the German army and his own uncle. Each of the conflicts is shown through specific cinematography techniques. Analysis of the relation of father and son and other conflicts in the movie are conducted with structure, focalization and cinematography analysis."

"Jurnal ini membahas gambaran Indo dalam cerita bergambar (cergam) Rampokan Java (1998) karya Peter van Dongen. Cergam ini berlatar situasi pada tahun 1946 di Hindia-Belanda, yaitu ketika Belanda kembali untuk menguasai bekas wilayah jajahannya. Tokoh utama cergam ini adalah seorang Indo yang bernama Johan Knevel yang adalah seorang anggota militer Belanda. Analisis yang digunakan adalah teori struktural mecakup tokoh dan latar untuk melihat makna secara menyeluruh mengenai gambaran Indo. Fokalisasi dipakai untuk melihat dari berbagai perspektif keberadaan Indo dalam komunitas yang luas. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan Indo digambarkan sebagai sosok yang lemah, sangat bergantung pada orang lain, serta inferior di bawah Belanda. Dalam kehidupan sosial, ia mempunyai pandangan yang cenderung bertolak belakang dengan Belanda lagipula ia tidak sepenuhnya diterima oleh kalangan masyarakat pribumi karena sikapnya yang demikian.This journal discusses about the description of Indo in graphic novel Rampokan Java (1998) by Peter van Dongen. The setting of this graphic novel sets in 1946 at the Dutch East Indies, during civil war in 1947. The main character of this graphic novel is an Indo named Johan Knevel who is a member of the Dutch military. The theory used in this journal is structural theory that includes character and setting to see the meaning of Indo thoroughly. Focalization is used to see many perspectives Indo being in the community. From this study, it can be concluded that Indo is displayed as a person that weak, very dependent, and inferior under The Dutch. Socially, he tends to have a completely different perspectives with The Dutch, on the other hand, he is not quite accepted amongs Indonesian community."

"Fiksi psikologi bukan hal yang baru dalam dunia kesusastraan Belanda. Salah satu novel fiksi psikologi terkenal di Belanda adalah Het diner karya Herman Koch. Novel ini mengisahkan orang tua yang berusaha menutupi tindak kejahatan anak mereka. Penelitian ini membahas karakter tokoh Paul dan Claire Lohman, khususnya bagaimana pandangan dan respon Paul dan Claire terhadap kejahatan anak mereka serta bagaimana karakteristik psikopatologi yang dimiliki tokoh Paul dan Claire yang mendasari upaya mereka membenarkan tindak kejahatan anak mereka. Untuk meneliti hal tersebut digunakan teori tokoh dan penokohan, serta fokalisasi. Kemudian pendekatan psikopatologi dengan kriteria dari American Psychiatric Association digunakan untuk mencari adanya kaitan antara sifat tokoh dengan gangguan mental. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya kesesuaian antara pandangan dan respon Paul dan Claire Lohman terhadap kejahatan anak mereka serta karakter tokoh-tokoh tersebut dengan gejala gangguan kepribadian antisosial yang menjadi dasar tindakan mereka membenarkan kejahatan anak mereka.

Psychological fiction is nothing new in Dutch literature. One well-known psychological fiction novel in the Netherlands is Het diner by Herman Koch. This novel tells the story of parents who are trying to cover up their child's crime. This study discusses the personalities of Paul and Claire Lohman characters, specifically how they view and respond to the crime of their child and how the psychopathological characteristics possessed by Paul and Claire's characters are the basis of their efforts to justify their children's crime. To examine this, theory of character and characterizations are used, as well as focalization. Then the psychopathology approach with the criteria by the American Psychiatric Association is used to look for a link between the nature of the characters with mental disorders. The results of this study indicate a compatibility between the views and responses of Paul and Claire Lohman to the crimes of their child as well as the character of these figures with the symptoms of antisocial personality disorder which is the basis of their actions to justify their child's crimes."

"Sikap Ambivalen Tokoh Linda dalam Proses Pencapaian Subjektivitas Perempuannya pada Novel Adultery 2014 Karya Paulo Coelho Adultery 2014 merupakan novel karya Paulo Coelho, seorang novelis terkenal asal Portugis yang karyanya tersebar di berbagai belahan dunia.Tesis ini berusaha mengungkapkan sikap ambivalen tokoh utama dalam novel ini, yaitu Linda dalam proses pencapaian subjektivitas perempuannya. Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah pendekatan feminisme eksistensialis Simone de Beauvoir dan fokalisasi. Analisis fokalisasi dengan memasang konsep feminisme eksistensialis Beauvoir menunjukkan kecenderungan tokoh yang merepresentasikan nilai-nilai dari konsep tersebut. Analisis fokalisasi pada beberapa tokoh pada tataran narasi yang berbeda menunjukkan adanya sikap ambivalen Linda. Kesimpulan dari keseluruhan analisis memperlihatkan sikap ambivalen Linda dalam usaha mencapai subjektivitas dirinya yang pada akhirnya berhasil ia raih.

The Ambivalent Attitude of Linda in Attaining Her Female Subjectivity in Adultery 2014 by Paulo CoelhoAdultery 2014 is a novel by Paulo Coelho, a famous novelist from Portugal whose works are spread through parts of the world. This thesis tries to reveal the ambivalent attitude of the main character in this novel, Linda, in achieving her subjectivity. The theoretical frameworks used are feminist existentialism by Simone de Beauvoir and focalization technique. Focalization analysis by applying feminist existentialism concept by Beauvoir showed a trend figures that represent the values of the concept. Focalization analysis on some of the figures at different level of narration shows the ambivalent attitude of Linda. The conclusion of the overall analysis show the ambivalent attitude of Linda in achieving her subjectivity which in the end she managed to achieve."
