"Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengamati preferensi posisi makan serta pemetaan pohon pakan kukang jawa Nycticebus javanicus E. Geoffroy, 1812 di habitat aslinya, yaitu Talun Desa Cipaganti, Garut. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret- April 2017 menggunakan metode focal animal instantaneous sampling dan ad libitum dengan perolehan data lengkap dari 10 individu. Waktu total pengamatan perilaku yaitu berjumlah 5.429 poin dan selama 27.145 menit atau sekitar 452 jam. Diperoleh pula luas transek sabuk pada analisis vegetasi yaitu 80.000 m2. Selain itu diperoleh 351 titik pada pengamatan pemetaan pohon pakan.
Preferensi posisi makan tertinggi hingga terendah berturut- turut yaitu terminal, canopytop,under canopy, canopy, dan canopy branch dengan nilai rerata frekuensi penggunaan sebesar 133.5, 34, 33, 33, dan 28.5. Diketahui pula jenis pohon pakan yang paling sering digunakan oleh kukang jawa yaitu pohon kaliandra Calliandra callothrysus dan preferensi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh struktur pohon, jenis pakan, kandungan nutrisi pakan, dan musim. Hasil pemetaan pohon pakan menunjukkan nilai dominansi tertinggi terdapat pada pohon kaliandra Calliandra callothrysus dengan nilai sebesar 1.45 yang persebarannya mengelompok clumped.

Study about feeding tree preferences of javan slow loris has been conducted at Talun Cipaganti Village, Garut. This study aims to observe about feeding position preferences which javan slow loris likes most. This study was conducted on March April 2017 during 17.00 to 23.00 also between 23.00 to 05.00 using focal animal instantaneous sampling and ad libitum method use 10 individu javan slow loris. Total of observation time is 5.429 point during 27.145 minutes or around 452 hours. Also, wide of the transect is 80.000 m2.
Result shows that the highest and lowest feeding position which loris like is at terminal TE, canopytop CT, under canopy UC, canopy C, dan canopy bottom CB with average value is 133.5, 34, 33, 33, dan 28.5. Besides, we can see that feeding tree which has the highest frequency is red calliandra Calliandra callothrysus. Factors that influence preferences is tree structure, feeding item, feeding nutrition, and season.

"Studies on insect pollinator ecology and dynamics are very rarely carried out in traditional Indian agriculture landscapes. Indiscriminate landscape changes in the rural areas and tendencies towards crop monocultures can have significant effects on pollinator habitats and effectiveness. This study was aimed at observing insect pollinators, their visitation frequencies and timings on monsoon cucurbit crops such as Cucumis sativus L., C. pubescens Willd., Momordica charantia L., Trichonsanthes anguina L. and Luffa acutangula L. (Roxb.), in a coastal Karnataka Village.  This study was also aimed at covering the significance of the surrounding landscape elements in sustaining pollinator elements. Bees, such as Apis dorsata, A. cerana and Trigona sp., were major visitors on all cucurbits, except snake gourd which was pollinated mainly by lepidopterans. Insect species were found to partition floral resources of any given crops between them by minimal overlapping in their visitation timings. Natural elements of the landscape around, mainly a village forest and rocky savanna furnished habitats for bees and lepidopterans. Prolifically blooming monsoon herbs on lateritic plateaus, by providing nectar resources for pollinators, presumably play key role in making the case study village well known for monsoon vegetables."

"Salah satu tempat di Depok yang memiliki area vegetasi yang rapat adalah Universitas Indonesia. Area vegetasi yang rapat mempengaruhi jumlah dan aktivitas kelelawar dalam mencari makan (foraging). Penelitian dilakukan di dua lokasi, yaitu Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan keanekaragaman jenis pakan kelelawar berdasarkan jenis pohonnya, serta mengetahui jenis-jenis kelelawar yang berasosiasi dengan pohon yang menjadi potensi sebagai sumber pakan kelelawar. Pengamatan dilakukan pada lima jenis pohon berbeda pada setiap lokasi. Pohon yang diamati adalah Mangifera indica, Syzygium sp., Chrysophyllum cainito, Musa paradisiaca, dan Citrus sinensis. Hasil dari uji statistik menggunakan ANOVA Satu Arah dan Multiple Comparisons (Bonferronis) menujukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata jumlah individu kelelawar yang signifikan antara Mangifera indica dan Citrus sinensis. Perbedaan rata-rata jumlah individu kelelawar disebabkan karena beberapa faktor seperti tutupan kanopi, faktor abiotik, dan keberadaan serta kematangan buah. Jenis kelelawar yang ditemukan di FMIPA adalah Cynopterus brachyotis dan Macroglossus minimus, jenis kelelawar yang ditemukan di FKM adalah Cynopterus brachyotis.

One of the places in Depok that has a dense vegetation area is Universitas Indonesia. Density of vegetation areas can affect the number and foraging activity of bats. This research was conducted in two locations, Faculty of Matemathics and Natural Sciences and Faculty of Public Health. This research aims to identify and compare the dietary variety of fruit bats based on tree species, as well as to find out the bats’ types of association with trees that are potential as feed sources for bats. Observations were made on five different tree species at each location. The observed trees were Mangifera indica, Syzygium sp., Chrysophyllum cainito, Musa paradisiaca, and Citrus sinensis. The result of statistical test using One-Way ANOVA and Multiple Comparisons (Bonferonnis) showed that there was a significant difference in the mean number of bat individuals between Mangifera indica and Citrus sinensis. The significant difference in the mean number of bats individuals was caused by several factors such as canopy cover, abiotic factors, also the presence and maturity of fruit. The types of bats that found in FMIPA was Cynopterus brachyotis and Macroglossus minimus, the type of bats that found in FKM was Cynopterus brachyotis."
