Kegiatan menyelam dapat menyebabkan gangguan pada pendengaran.
Penyelam TNI AL berisiko mengalami gangguan pendengaran akibat
barotrauma pada telinga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif
yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran gangguan pendengaran pada
50 orang penyelam TNI AL Armada RI Kawasan Barat sebagai sampel.
Data didapatkan dengan tes rinne, weber, dan schwabach menggunakan
garputala frekuensi 512 Hz untuk menentukan jenis gangguan sensorik
atau konduktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 42% responden
mengalami gangguan pendengaran, terdapat 40% tuli sensorik dan 2% tuli
konduktif. Program pendidikan dan latihan tentang standar prosedur
penyelaman yang tepat perlu dirancang untuk mencegah terjadinya
gangguan pendengaran akibat penyelaman.

ABSTRACT
Diving activity may caused hearing loss. Indonesian Navy divers have
risked to undergo hearing loss that caused by barotrauma in the ear. The
objective of this study was to describe descriptive of hearing loss on 50
person Navy divers in the west district. The Rinne, Weber, and Schwabach
tests that use a tuning fork 512 Hz were perform to identify conduction or
sensoric deafness. These research shows that 42% have hearing loss, 40%
sensoric deafness and 2% conductive deafness. The education programs
and training about the progress right diving procedure standart should be
designed prevent hearing loss caused by diving."

"Aktivitas di terminal berpotensi menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan antara lain kebisingan. Tingkat kebisingan yang tinggi berpotensi untuk terjadinya gangguan kesehatan bagi manusia khususnya gangguan pendengaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara tingkat kebisingan terhadap gangguan pendengaran penduduk di lokasi pemukiman sekitar Terminal Pakupatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional pada enam pemukiman di sekitar Terminal Pakupatan, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten pada Januari-Mei 2018. Besar sampel sebanyak 100 orang dengan metode proposional random sampling.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kebisingan di lokasi pemukiman sekitar Terminal Pakupatan mencapai 81,09 dB dimana telah melewati baku mutu kebisingan yang mengacu pada Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 48 Tahun 1996 sebesar 55 dB. Variabel confounding yaitu umur, riwayat penyakit, status bekerja, konsumsi rokok, konsumsi alkohol dan lamanya tinggal. Masyarakat yang tinggal di lokasi dengan tingkat kebisingan lebih dari 55 dB memiliki risiko yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang tinggal di lokasi dengan tingkat kebisingan kurang dari 55 dB 3,39; 0,61-26,91, setelah dikontrol oleh jenis pekerjaan dan lama tinggal sehingga perlu adanya upaya pencegahan rambatan bising kepemukiman dengan menerapkan jalur hijau atau penanaman pohon.

This study aimed to identify the relationship between noise level to hearing loss in residential locations around Pakupatan Bus Station. This study used cross sectional study design in six settlements around Pakupatan Bus Station, Serang City, Banten Province conducted in January May 2018. The number of samples is 100people with proportional random sampling method.
The results of the analysis showed that the noise level at the residential area around Pakupatan Bus Station reached 81.09dB where it has passed the noise quality standard based on the Decree of the Minister of the Environment Number 48 Year 1996 of 55 dB and found that people exposed to noise ge 55dB have lower risk compared to people exposed to noise.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kebisingan, faktor karakteristik pekerja (usia, masa kerja, durasi kerja, riwayat diabetes, riwayat hipertensi), dan faktor perilaku pekerja (penggunaan APT dan perilaku merokok), dengan gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja bagian refining PT X tahun 2019. Desain studi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 66 orang pekerja bagian refining. Data gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja diperoleh dari hasil Medical Check Up rutin yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan, sedangkan data tingkat kebisingan diperoleh melalui pengukuran secara langsung menggunakan Sound Level Meter di area kerja bagian refining. Hasil uji Chi Square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara usia (OR 7; 95% CI: 1,608-30,474), masa kerja (OR 7,8; 95% CI: 0,925-65,747, dan perilaku merokok (OR 7,8; 95% CI: 0,925-65,747) dengan gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja bagian refining. Selain itu, didapatkan rata-rata tingkat kebisingan yang berbeda pada setiap unit kerja bagian refining, yakni unit kerja Peleburan sebesar 87,08 dBA, Pemurnian Perak sebesar 89,04 dBA, Pemurnian Emas sebesar 83,25 dBA, dan Waste Management sebesar 77,85 dBA.

This study aims to analyze noise level, characteristics of worker (age, work period, work duration, history of diabetes, history of hypertension), worker behaviour (use of ear protector and smoking behaviour) with hearing loss among refining unit workers at PT X in 2019. A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 66 refining workers. Data on hearing loss among workers are obtained from the results of routine medical check up conducted by the company, while noise level data is obtained through direct measurement using the Sound Level Meter in the refining section work area. Chi Square test results showed that there was a significant relationship between age (OR 7; 95% CI: 1,608-30,474), work period (OR 7.8; 95% CI: 0.925-65,747, and smoking behavior (OR 7.8; 95% CI: 0.925-65,747) with hearing loss among refining workers. In addition, different noise levels were obtained for each refining work unit, the Smelting work unit was 87.08 dBA, Silver Refining was 89.04 dBA, Gold Refining was 83.25 dBA, and Waste Management was 77, 85 dBA.

"Kebisingan merupakan salah satu bahaya fisik di tempat kerja yang memiliki risiko terhadap terjadinya gangguan pendengaran kepada pekerja. Diantara beberapa sektor industri, konstruksi merupakan industri yang memiliki kebisingan dalam pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat kebisingan serta hubungan karakteristik dan perilaku pekerja terhadap gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 106 pekerja dan pengukuran titik kebisingan pada 30 titik yang tersebar pada area konstruksi. Berdasarkan pengukuran kebisingan yang dilakukan, rentang kebisingan pada lokasi konstruksi BUMN Center ialah 67.9 – 100.8 dBA dan kejadian ganggguan pendengaran pada pekerja sebesar 44.3%. Uji Mann- Whitney U Test dilakukan pada variabel tingkat kebisingan dan gangguan pendengaran dan menunjukkan hasil tidak adanya perbedaan signifikan tingkat kebisingan terhadap gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja (p=0.904). Adapun pada variabel karakteristik dan perilaku pekerja, hanya usia yang memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan gangguan pendengaran (p=0.000) dengan OR 7.8. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya tingkat kebisingan yang melebihi NAB dan pekerja yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran, sehingga disarankan untuk adanya tindakan pencegahan dan meminimlaisir risiko dengan prinsip kontrol hirarki.

Noise exposure is one of the physical hazards in the workplace that can cause of hearing loss to workers. Among some industrial sectors, construction sector has a lot of noise in its workplace. The study aimed to analysis the differences in noise intensity and the association between characteristics and behavior to hearing loss among construction workers Gedung BUMN Center. The study used cross-sectional study design with 106 respondents and measurements of noise points at 30 points spread across the construction area. Based on noise measurements, the noise range at the construction site of the BUMN Center is 67.9 - 100.8 dBA and the incidence of hearing disorders in workers is 44.3%. The Mann-Whitney U Test was conducted on variable noise levels and hearing loss and showed results no significant differences in noise levels and hearing loss among workers (p=0.904). As for the characteristic variables and behavior of workers, only age has a significant association with hearing loss (p=0.000) and OR 7.8. This study found that there was a noise intensity that exceeded NAB and workers with hearing loss, so minimze the risk with hierarchy control is recommended as preventive action."

"Intensitas: bising 85 dB atau lebih menyebabkan kerusakan reseptor Corti. Perusahaan X telah melakukan program konservasi pendengaran untuk mencegah terjadinya noise induced hearing loss (NIHL). Akan tetapi; penurunan pendengaran masih ditemukan. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui hubungan perilaku kurang dengan NIHL serta faktor-faktor lain yang berhubungan dengan NIHL pada pekerja Perusahaan X.
Metode: Penelitian kasus kontrol teJah diiakukan pada pekerja laki-laki usia 20 59 tiga kompattemen Perusahaan X. Data didapatkan dari kuesioner dan tes audiometri screening tahun 2010. Odd ratio dan analisis multivariat menggunakan SPSS 17 dilakukan terhadap 62 kasus NIHL dan 62 kontrol.
Hasil: Faktor·faktor seperti perokok sedang berat, I intenshas bising 85-95 dB meningkatkan risiko terjadinya NJHL masing·masing sebesar I 0,73(95%CI 2.85-40.38),5.49), 34(95%C!=0.46·3.89. Penelitian ini tidak bisa mendapatkan hubungan intensitas bislng >95 dB dengan NIHL.
Kesimpulan: Perilaku kurang meningkatkan risiko tetjadinya NIHL di Perusahaan X. Program.

Methods: A case conrrol th1'ee compartments of X Company Data was obtained from questionnaires and scree11ing audiometric test 201(}, Odd ratio and multivariate analysis using SPSS 1 7 had been done to 62 cases N!HL and 62 controls.
Results: Factors such as medium-heavy smokers, unsafe behaviors, light smokers, noise intensity 85-95 dB increase the risk of NIHL by 10.73(95%CJ=2.85-40.38), 4.36(95%Cl=l.70-11.20), 2.23(95%CI=0.91-5.49), I.34(95%CI=0.46-3.89. This study cannol obJain the relation between noise intensity >95 dB and NIHL.
Conclusions: Unsafe behaviors increase the risk of NIHL in X Company. Hearing conservation program need to be improved.

"Otitis media efusi (OME) sering terjadi pada anak, dapat timbul tanpa gejala sehingga diagnosis dan penatalaksanaan sering terlambat adakalanya telah terjadi komplikasi. Salah satu komplikasinya berupa gangguan pendengaran, meskipun tidak selalu jelas namun pada anak usia dini dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan bicara, berbahasa dan bila terjadi pada usia sekolah maka anak menjadi kesulitan mengikuti pelajaran atau pendidikan, gangguan tingkah laku sehingga terlihat kurang berprestasi dan tidak fokus. Gangguan pendengaran umumnya terdapat pada kedua telinga, apabila volume cairan sedikit, maka gangguan pendengaran akan minimal. Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian Profil Otitis Media di Kotamadya Jakarta Timur yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi otitis media efusi dan gambaran gangguan pendengarannya pada anak usia 5-18 tahun di kotamadya Jakarta Timur berdasarkan pemeriksaan audiometri nada murni. Metode penelitian berupa survey di populasi masyarakat bersifat deskriptif potong lintang terhadap 396 anak di kotamadya Jakarta Timur sesuai dengan kriteria penerimaan dan penolakan. Percontoh dipilih secara multi stage stratified random sampling, bertingkat dari kecamatan hingga kelurahan berdasarkan kepadatan penduduk. Kemudian dilanjutkan secara spatial random sampling berdasarkan nomor rumah. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan angka prevalensi OME sebesar 1,52%. Ambang dengar pada anak dengan OME berkisar 10-43,75dB dan gangguan pendengaran terjadi pada 5 dari 6 anak dengan OME.

Otitis Media with Effusion (OME) is common in children. It is usually asymptomatic, causing late diagnosis and management. Sometimes OME is diagnosed very late while there is already complications, one of the complication of OME is hearing impairment. Although not always clear, but in young children OME can cause delayed speech and lingual disability. If this condition happens in school-aged-children, it will be difficult for children to catch up with the education programs and there could be behavior problems. The hearing impairment usually occur at both ear, and its degree accord to the volume of the fluid. This research is a part of research on Profile of Otitis Media at East Jakarta that aims to evaluate the prevalence of OME and the hearing impairment due to OME in 5-18 years old at East Jakarta based on pure tone audiometry examination. The research method is a descriptive cross sectional survey on 396 children at East Jakarta that match with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sample was chosen using multistage stratified random sampling method, starts from the district to sub district according to population density. It was continued with spatial random sampling based on the house number. The research shows the prevalence of OME in 5-18 years old at East Jakarta was 1,52%. The hearing threshold in children with OME was ranged 10-43,75dB and hearing impairment occur on 5 from 6 children with OME."

"[ABSTRAK
Gangguan pendengaran akibat stroke yang terjadi pada jalur auditorik merupakan aspek yang sedikit sekali dieksplorasi pada pasien pasca stroke dan berpotensi menimbulkan dampak pada fungsi dan kualitas hidup. Pendengaran memfasilitasi komunikasi verbal sehingga hal ini penting untuk memberikan penatalaksanaan yang sesuai dan maksimal. Untuk mengukur proporsi gangguan pendengaran dan gangguan komunikasi verbal pada pasien pasca stroke dapat dilakukan pemeriksaan audiometri nada murni, audiometri tutur, dan audiometri tutur dalam bising untuk mengkaji bagaimana gangguan pendengaran berkorelasi dengan karakteristik demografik dan karakteristik klinis serta faktor yang mempengaruhi. Penelitian potong lintang ini dilakukan di RSUPN dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Jakarta pada bulan November 2014 sampai Mei 2015, melibatkan 40 subyek pasien pasca stroke otak (eksklusi afasia, gangguan fungsi luhur dan gangguan kognitif) yang terdiagnosis dari pencitraan tomografi komputer kepala. Sebanyak 40% mengalami gangguan pendengaran sensorineural (ringan 37,5% dan sedang 20%). Gangguan pendengaran sentral didapatkan 12,5 dan campuran (sensorineural dan sentral) sebanyak17,5%. Didapatkan gangguan komunikasi verbal dalam suasana tenang dan bising 12,% sedangkan gangguan dalam suasana bising sebanyak 32,5%. Berdasarkan nilai odds rasio didapatkan kecenderungan faktor risiko usia lebih dari 60 tahun, letak lesi kortikal dan atau subkortikal serta vaskularisasi lesi dapat mempengaruhi gangguan pendengaran dengan atau tanpa disertai gangguan komunikasi dan secara statistik bermakna.

Hearing facilitates a good speech hence it is important to give appropriate and optimal treatment. To measure the proportion of hearing loss and speech disorder in post stoke patient, we did pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and word in noise and to analyze how it could correlate with demographic, clinical characteristic and other factors. This cross sectional study was conducted in Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital Jakarta which started from November 2014 to May 2015, involving 40 samples after stroke patient (with the exclusion of aphasia and cognitive disorder) which were diagnosed with brain CT scan. Fourty percents patients had sensoryneural hearing loss (mild 37,5% and moderate 20%,). Central Hearing loss was found in 12.5% patients and mixed (sensorineural and sentral) hearing loss was found in 17.5%. Speech disorder in quite and noise background was found in 12.5% patients and disorder in noise background was found in 32.5% patients. "PT X merupakan salah satu industri tekstil di Indonesia yang memiliki berbagai mesin dan peralatan yang dapat menimbulkan kebisingan dengan intensitas tinggi di beberapa area kerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kebisingan yang lebih dari 85 dBA dengan keluhan gangguan pendengaran pada pekerja di departemen spinning, weaving, dan dyeing PT X. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analitik kuantitatif dengan desain studi cross sectional. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 84 pekerja di departemen spinning, weaving, dan dyeing yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling proportionate stratified random sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat kebisingan dan variabel dependen adalah keluhan gangguan pendengaran, dengan variabel konfounding meliputi karakteristik dan perilaku pekerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sebnyak 37 pekerja (44%) mengalami keluhan gangguan pendengaran tinggi. Berdasarkan uji chi square, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kebisingan > 85 dBA (p value=0,039, OR=2,8), usia (p value=0,012, OR=3,457) dan penggunaan alat pelindung telinga (APT) (p value=0,046, OR=2,761) dengan keluhan gangguan pendengaran. Sedangkan variabel masa kerja, riwayat penyakit telinga, riwayat hipertensi, riwayat diabetes, merokok, dan hobi terpajan bising tidak menunjukan hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukan pekerja yang terpajan kebisingan diatas NAB memiliki risiko 4,512 kali lebih tinggi dibandingkan pekerja yang terpajan kebisingan dibawah NAB setelah dikontrol oleh variabel usia. Pekerja yang terpajan kebisingan berisiko untuk mengalami keluhan gangguan pendengeran. Pekerja yang berusia lebih dari 40 tahun dan tidak menggunakan APT saat berkeja memiliki risiko lebih besar untuk mengalami keluhan gangguan pendengaran.

PT X is a textile industry in Indonesia with a variety of machinery and equipment generating high-intensity noise in several areas. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between noise intensity higher than 85 dBA with hearing loss complain on workers of spinning, weaving, and dyeing department at PT X. The method used in this study was quantitative analysis with a cross-sectional study design. The number of samples in this study was 84 workers chosen by proportionate stratified random sampling method. The independent variable in this study was noise level while the dependent variable was hearing loss complaints, with confounding variables included characteristic and worker behavior. The study result shows that 37 workers (44%) experienced hearing loss complaints. Based on the chi-square test, there was a significant relationship between noise > 85 dBA (p value = 0.039, OR = 2.8), age (p value = 0.012, OR = 3.457) and hearing protection device (HPD) utilization (p value = 0.046, OR = 2.761) with hearing loss complaints. Meanwhile, variables of the working period, ear disease history, hypertension history, diabetes history, smoking history, and noise exposure do not show a significant relationship. The multivariate result shows that workers exposed to noise above TLV possess 4.512 times higher risk than the workers exposed to noise under TLV after being controlled by age variable. Noise-exposed workers are at risk of experiencing complaints of hearing loss. Workers who are over 40 years old and do not use HPD while working have a greater risk of experiencing hearing loss complaints."
