Using common drugs without proper knowledge can be dangerous, as herbs and vitamins contain ingredients that may interact with common drugs. Also, questions such as “Can medicines be shared among family members?”, “Can antibiotics be kept for the next infection?”, “What is the best time to take medicine?”, “What is actually meant by ‘before’ and ‘after’ food?”, “Can drugs be taken with herbal medications?”, “Can tablets be taken with hot water or coffee?”, “What is the maximum dose of paracetamol per day?” and “Will paracetamol interact with durian or alcohol?” may seem trivial but are important. Written in an easily understood Q&A format, TIPS ON USING COMMON MEDICINES SAFELY provides information on how to maximise the use of common medicines while minimising the impact of their side effects. It also gives concise information on how to avoid harmful interactions with other drugs, food, herbs and vitamins.

ABSTRAK Praktik kerja profesi di Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur Periode Bulan Oktober Tahun 2017 bertujuan agar calon Apoteker memahami peranan, tugas, dan tanggung jawab Apoteker di Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur, memiliki pengetahuan tentang tupoksi yang ada di Suku Dinas Kesehatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur terutama dibidang farmasi, memiliki wawasan, pengetahuan, keterampilan dan pengalaman praktis untuk melakukan praktek kefarmasian di lembaga pemerintahan, memiliki gambaran nyata tentang permasalahan praktek kefarmasian di lembaga pemerintahan. Praktik kerja profesi di Sudinkes Jakarta Timur dilakukan selama dua minggu dengan tugas khusus yaitu ldquo;Rekapitulasi Laporan Penggunaan Obat Generik dari 10 Puskesmas Kecamatan di Wilayah Kota Administrasi Jakarta Timur Periode Januari ndash; September 2017 rdquo;. Tujuan dari tugas khusus ini untuk merekapitulasi laporan penggunaan obat generik berdasarkan indikator yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia serta mengetahui rata-rata persentase penggunaan obat generik tertinggi dan terendah dari hasil rekapitulasi tersebut.

Practice professional work in the East Jakarta Sub Department for Health was conducted for two weeks with a special assignment is ldquo;Recapitulation of Generic Drug Report from 10 Sub-district Public Health Centers in East Jakarta Area Period January - September 2017 rdquo;. The purpose of this particular task is to recapitulate reports on generic drug use based on indicators established by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia as well as to know the average percentage of the highest and lowest generic drug use from the recapitulation result.
