Karena Pandemi COVID-19, dunia pendidikan telah berubah secara dinamis. Siswa dan Guru terpaksa menghadapi kegiatan pembelajaran jarak jauh atau sekarang disebut pembelajaran online karena kehadiran atau pembelajaran tatap muka tidak memungkinkan. Banyak universitas, perguruan tinggi, bahkan sekolah, termasuk Universitat Duisburg-Essen dan Universitas Indonesia terpaksa melakukan pembelajaran online. Media atau perangkat lunak yang kini populer di masyarakat untuk pembelajaran online disebut sebagai synchronous groupware. Groupware sinkron sekarang memainkan peran besar dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini akan memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang kegunaan synchronous groupware bagi masyarakat. ......Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the education world has dynamically changed. Students and Teachers are forced to face far distance learning activities or now called online learning because the presence of face-to-face learning is not possible. Many universities, colleges, and even schools, including Universitat Duisburg-Essen and Universitas Indonesia, are forced to do online learning. The media or software, that is now popular in society for online learning, is called synchronous groupware. Synchronous groupware is now playing a big role in education. This research will deliver a deep understanding of the usefulness of synchronous groupware for society

Abstrak :
This book describes the concept of a cross-domain platform which can be used for scientific cooperation. It also familiarizes readers with new concepts and technologies which are used in the platform and introduces the first projects which are developed using this technology. It is expected to be of special interest to researchers and professionals in computer science and mechanics.

Abstrak :
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 18th Collaboration Researchers' International Working Group Conference on Collaboration and Technology, held in Raesfeld, Germany, in September 2012. The 9 revised papers presented together with 12 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. They are grouped into five themes that represent collaborative learning, social media analytics, conceptual and design models, formal modeling and technical approaches and collaboration support in emergency scenarios.

Universitas Indonesia (UI), Gerhard Mercator University (GMU) dan University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) bekerjasama untuk mengembangkan program bersama tingkat sarjana (3+1) dan magister (1+1) serta berkolaborasi di bidang riset pengajaran ilmu teknik berbasis multimedia dan internet dan riset di bidang application level active networks. Paper ini menjelaskan pelaksanaan Offshore Project dan pengembangan aplikasi teknologi informasi untuk meningkatkan inovasi di bidang pengajaran ilmu teknik yang akan menyediakan linkungan belajar berbasis multimedia dan internet yang lebih fl eksibel kepada mahasiswa.

The University of Indonesia (UI), Gerhard Mercator University (GMU), the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) have agreed to cooperate as partners to develop a joint bachelor (3+1) and masters (1+1) degree, and collaborate in the research fields of multimedia- and internet-based learning and application level active networks. This paper describes the introduction of the Offshore Project and the extending of information technology applications to the partner institutions in this international cooperation which would very much enhance the operations of the new initiative in engineering education, which could provide students in far distance with more fl exible learning environment.
