"Peran kepala ruang yang dijalankan dengan baik dapat menghasilkan keselamatan pasien yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan peran kepala ruang terhadap perilaku perawat dalam pelaksanaan keselamatan pasien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 95 responden dengan tehnik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian karakteristik perawat pelaksana rata-rata median umur 28,00 tahun, masa kerja 3,00 tahun, jenis kelamin mayoritas perempuan 75, 8, dan pendidikan mayoritas Diploma tiga keperawatan 83,2. Gambaran peran kepala ruang yang paling banyak dipersepsikan oleh perawat pelaksana adalah informational, sedangkan gambaran peran kepala ruang dipersepsikan optimal oleh perawat pelaksana. Gambaran perilaku perawat baik dalam melaksanakan keselamatan pasien. Tidak Ada hubungan antara peran kepala ruang terhadap perilaku perawat pelaksana p= 0,086. Saran untuk manajemen rumah sakit mengadakan pembinaan terhadap kepala ruang mengenai kemampuan pelaksanaan peran kepala ruang dan ditingkatkan melalui pendidikan secara formal ke jenjang Ners mengingat saat ini mayoritas perawat masih berpendidikan D3 keperawatan. ......The Correlation between Head Nurse Role and Staff Nurses Behavior in Implementing Patient Safety Program The head nurse role that is well run can produce better patient safety. "Prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana merupakan penampilan kerja perawat, baik kuantitas maupun kualitas dalam melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan kepada klien yang menjadi tanggung jawabnya. Prestasi kerja perawat dapat dinilai dari kualitas pelayanan keperawatan, kualitas personil perawatnya, kepuasan kerja, dan disiplin kerja. Prestasi kerja perawat yang tinggi merupakan cerminan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan yang dapat memenuhi kepuasan klien. Prestasi kerja perawat diprediksi dapat dipengaruhi oleh peran kepala ruangan meliputi peran interpersonal, informasional dan peran pengambilan keputusan. Dalam proses pelayanan keperawatan ketiga sub variabel secara bersama-sama mempunyai kontribusi terhadap prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana.Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional, yang bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara peran kepala ruangan dengan prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana dalam periode waktu yang bersamaan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di RSUP Persahabatan dengan populasi 245 orang dan sampel 156 orang perawat pelaksana di Instalasi Rawat Inap, pada tanggal 19 Juni s/d 5 Juli 2002. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari 25 pernyataan untuk mengukur peran kepala ruangan dan 30 pernyataan untuk mengukur prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana.Hasil analisis statistik bivariat dengan uji kai kuadrat didapatkan peran kepala ruangan (interpersonal, informasional dan pengambil keputusan), semuanya berhubungan secara bermakna dengan prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana. Sedangkan untuk variabel confounding ( usia, pendidikan, lama kerja, jenis kelamin, status perkawinan ), ternyata tidak ada yang berhubungan secara bermakna dengan prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana. Hasil analisis statistik multivariat dengan uji regresi logistik ganda didapatkan peran interpersonal dan informasional kepala ruangan yang paling berhubungan dengan prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana. Untuk variabel confounding, hanya pendidikan yang paling berhubungan dengan prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana. Sub variabel informasional mempunyai kontribusi paling besar terhadap prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana setelah dikontrol dengan sub variabel interpersonal dan pendidikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan kepada pimpinan RSUP Persahabatan, kiranya dapat meningkatkan penampilan kepala ruangan dalam melaksanakan perannya melalui pelatihan atau pendidikan manajemen keperawatan serta meningkatkan prestasi kerja perawat pelaksana melalui pendidikan baik formal maupun informal. Bagi peneliti lain agar dapat melakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan menggunakan metoda observasi dan wawancara mendalam, terhadap populasi dan sampel yang lebih luas.

The Correlation between the Role Appearances of the Head Nurse with the Performance of Nursing Associate in The Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUP Persahabatan Jakarta, 2002The performance of nursing associate is an appearance of nurses, either quantity or quality in caring for their patients who have become their responsibility. The performances of nurses consist of to their applying for their good services, qualified skill, satisfying work and disciplinary work. The high performance of nurses is the reflection of nursing services quality. This can fulfill the patients? satisfaction. The performance of nurses is predicted can be influenced by the role of head nurse. Which consist of interpersonal, informational, and decisive roles. In the process of nursing, the three sub variables contribute to the performance of nurses.This research was quantitative research with the approach of cross sectional, whose purpose is to observe the correlation between head nurse role and the performance of nursing associate at the same period. The research conducted in RSVP Persahabatan with population 245 and sample 156 nursing associates in Instalasi Rawat Imp, from June 19 until Juli 5 2002, The instruments include 25 questionnaires to survey the head nurse and 30 questionnaires to performance of nursing associate.The results of bivariate statistic with chi-square are gained from the role of head nurse (interpersonal, informational and decisive), all are significantly related with the performance of nursing associate, while for confounding variables ( age, education, work length, sex and marriage status ), are not obviously correlated significantly with the nursing associate performance. The result of multivariate statistic with the regression test of double logistic is found the role of interpersonal and informational of head nurse, has a significant correlation with the performance of nursing associate, for confounding variable only sub educational variables have a significant with the performance of nursing associate, while the sub-informational variable has the greatest contribution to the achievement of nurses after being controlled with interpersonal and educational sub variable. Based on result of the research is suggested to the director of RSVP Pesahabatan, the develop both of appearance of head nurse on duty through nursing management education or training and informal. For others researchers to continue this research with observation and interview methods deeper for population and sample wider than research."
