"Aterosklerosis sebagai penyebab terjadinya PJK merupakan proses multifaktorial karena banyak sekali faktor-faktor yang menyebabkannya dengan mekanisme yang saling terkait. Saat ini proses aterosklerosis dianggap sebagai proses inflamasi. Inflamasi terbukti berperan penting pada inisiasi, progresi maupun destabilisasi plak aterosklerosis. High sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) merupakan salah satu petanda inflamasi yang penting pada penyakit jantung koroner (PJK) yang berhubungan dengan tingkat keparahan aterosklerosis, iskemi miokardium dan nekrosis miokardium. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan kadar hs-CRP pada pasien sindroma koroner akut (SKA), PJK kronik dan bukan PJK, serta untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kadar hs-CRP dengan kadar enzim CKMB pada pasien infark miokard akut (IMA). Penelitian bersifat observasional deskriptif dan analitik dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Dilakukan pemeriksaan kadar hs-CRP dengan metode chemiluminescent pada 21 pasien SKA, 20 pasien PJK kronik dan 20 bukan PJK. Didapatkan kadar hs-CRP rerata pada pasien SKA, PJK kronik dan bukan PJK sebesar 8,40 (SD 5,53) mg/l, 2,81 (SD 2,09) mg/l dan 1,07 (SD 0,81) mg/l. Analisis statistik didapatkan perbedaan kadar hs-CRP yang bermakna antara pasien SKA, PJK kronik dan bukan PJK (p 0,000). Kadar hs-CRP mempunyai korelasi positif yang bermakna dengan kadar enzim CKMB pada pasien IMA (p 0,004). Sebagai kesimpulan, kadar hs-CRP pada pasien SKA secara bermakna lebih tinggi dibanding PJK kronik dan bukan PJK. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara peningkatan kadar hs-CRP dengan peningkatan kadar enzim CKMB. (Med J Indones 2004; 13: 102-6)

Coronary heart disease (CHD) due to atherosclerosis is a multifactorial process with multiple interdependent factors. At present time, atherosclerosis is considered to be an inflammatory process. It has been proven that inflammation plays a mayor role in the initiation, progression as well as the destabilitation of the atherosclerosis plaque. High sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) is one of the most important inflammatory marker in CHD and directly related to the extent and severity of atherosclerosis, extent of myocardial ischemia and myocardial necrosis. The purpose of this study is to determine hs-CRP levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), chronic CHD and non CHD. And, to determine the correlation between hs-CRP levels and CKMB enzyme level in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This is a descriptive observational analytic study with cross sectional design. hs-CRP levels were measured by using chemiluminescent method on 21 ACS patients, 20 chronic CHD patients and 20 non CHD patients. The mean hs-CRP level in ACS, chronic CHD and non CHD patients were respectively 8.40 (SD 5.53) mg/l, 2.81 (SD 2.09) mg/l and 1.07 (SD 0.81) mg/l. A statistically significant difference in hs-CRP level was found between ACS, chronic CHD and non CHD (p = 0.000 ). A positive correlation was found between hs-CRP level and CKMB enzyme level in AMI patients (p = 0.004). In conclusion hs-CRP level is consistently higher in patients with ACS compared to patients with chronic CHD and non CHD. "Latar belakang: Psoriasis adalah penyakit inflamasi kulit kronik yang diperantarai sistem imun, dengan etiologi multifaktor. Stres telah diidentifikasi sebagai penyebab maupun faktor eksaserbasi psoriasis. High sensitivity c-reactive protein hs-CRP merupakan penanda sensitif untuk inflamasi. Stres maupun psoriasis dapat meningkatkan kadar hs-CRP serum. Data tingkat stres dan kadar hs-CRP serum pada pasien psoriasis terbatas dan belum ada penelitian mengenai korelasi antara stres dengan kadar hs-CRP serum pasien psoriasis Indonesia. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan korelasi antara stres dengan derajat keparahan psoriasis dan high sensitivity c-reactive protein. Metode: Pada studi potong lintang ini, pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 33 pasien. Derajat keparahan psoriasis diukur dengan metode Psoriasis Area and Severity Index PASI , penilaian stres dengan kuesioner Perceived Stress Scale PSS , dan kadar hs-CRP serum sebagai penanda inflamasi. Hasil: Didapatkan rerata usia 40,12 13,04 tahun dengan median skor PASI sebesar 4,7 0,9-22,4 . Didapatkan median skor kuesioner PSS sebesar 22 8-30 dan median kadar hs-CRP pada SP sebesar 2,38 0,53-12,06 mg/L. Ditemukan nilai korelasi antara stres dengan derajat keparahan psoriasis r= 0,30;p=0,046 , derajat keparahan psoriasis dengan kadar hs-CRP serum r = 0,363; p = 0,019 , dan stres dengan kadar hs-CRP serum r= 0,236; p= 0,093 . Simpulan: Ditemukan korelasi bermakna antara stres dengan derajat keparahan psoriasis dan derajat keparahan psoriasis dengan kadar hs-CRP serum. Namun tidak didapatkan korelasi bermakna secara statistik antara stres dengan kadar hs-CRP serum. Hasil ini mungkin dikarenakan faktor perancu yang dapat memengaruhi stres maupun kadar hs-CRP serum. Identifikasi dan tatalaksana stres dapat bermanfaat bagi terapi psoriasis.

Background Psoriasis is a multifactorial immune mediated chronic inflammatory skin disease. Stress is identified as a trigger and precipitating factor for psoriasis. High sensitivity c reactive protein hs CRP is a sensitive marker for inflammation. Stress and psoriasis may cause an increase in hs CRP serum. There are limited studies on stress and hs CRP levels in Indonesian psoriatic patients and there are no reported studies on the correlation between stress and hs CRP levels in Indonesian psoriatic patients. Objective To determine the correlation between stress and psoriasis disease severity and high sensitivity c reative protein levels. Method Sample selection for this cross sectional study was done by consecutive sampling. The Psoriasis Area and Severity Index PASI was used to measure disease severity, the self reporting Perceived Stress Scale PSS was used as a measure for stress, and hs CRP serum was used as a marker for inflammation. Results A total 33 subjects were enrolled to the study, with the median age of 40, 12 13, 04 years old and median PASI score of 4,7 range 0,9 22,4 . The median PSS score was 22 range 8 30 with a median hs CRP serum level of 2,38 range 0,53 12,06 mg L. We found correlation coefficients between stress and psoriasis severity r 0,30 p 0,046 , psoriasis severity and hs CRP serum levels r 0,363 p 0,019 , and stress and hs CRP serum levels r 0,236 p 0,093 . Conclusion We found a statistically significant correlation between stress and psoriasis severity and between psoriasis severity and hs CRP serum levels. However, no statistically significant correlation was found between stress and hs CRP serum levels. This may be caused by confounding factors influencing stress or hs CRP levels. However, identification and management of stres maybe beneficial for psoriatic patients. "

"Peningkatan berat badan selama hamil dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) ibu laktasi yang berlebihan berhubungan dengan inflamasi kronis derajat rendah yang dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan ibu maupun bayi. Asupan nutrisi diketahui sebagai salah satu faktor utama yang mempengaruhi perubahan berat badan (BB), IMT, serta inflamasi pada ibu laktasi. Inflamasi kronis derajat rendah dapat diukur dengan high sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP), baik di serum maupun ASI. Selain dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium, status inflamasi juga dapat diprediksi oleh skor Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII), suatu alat yang dapat memprediksi potensi inflamasi diet individu.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara skor DII ibu laktasi dengan kadar hs-CRP serum dan ASI ibu 3-6 bulan post partum di Jakarta. Penelitian ini adalah studi potong lintang dengan menggunakan consecutive sampling yang melibatkan 71 subjek ibu laktasi 3-6 bulan post partum yang datang ke Puskesmas Cilincing dan Grogol Petamburan, Jakarta, pada bulan Februari-April 2019. Penilaian asupan nutrisi dilakukan dengan semi-kuantitatif Food Frequency Questionnaires, pemeriksaan antropometri meliputi BB prakehamilan, BB saat pengambilan data, dan tinggi badan, serta pengambilan sampel serum (dengan metode imunoturbidimetri) dan ASI (dengan metode ELISA) untuk pemeriksaan hs-CRP. Median CRP serum adalah 1,74 mg/L dan CRP ASI 6221,17 pg/mL, sementara rerata skor DII adalah 0,624. Ditemukan korelasi positif antara hs-CRP serum dan ASI (r = 0,269, p = 0,023), namun pada penelitian ini tidak didapati korelasi antara skor DII dengan kadar hs-CRP serum maupun ASI (r = -0,124, p = 0,301 dan r = 0,129, p = 0,283).

Excessive gestational weight gain (GWG) and body mass index (BMI) in lactating mothers are associated with chronic low-grade inflammation which can cause negative effects to mother and baby. Nutrient intake has been known as important factor to affect inflammation, which can be measured by high sensitivity Creactive protein (hs-CRP). Beside laboratory assesment, level of inlammation can be determined by Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) score, a tool developed to predict inflammation potential in diet consumed.
This study aimed to examine the correlation between DII score with serum and breast milk hs-CRP in lactating mothers. A cross-sectional study was conducted by consecutively enrolling 71 lactating mothers, 3-6 months post-partum, age 20-35 years old, visiting Grogol Petamburan and Cilincing community health center on February-April 2019. Dietary assessment was conducted using semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire. Anthropometric measurements included were pre-pregnancy weight, post-partum weight, and body height. Serum hs-CRP was measured by immunoturbidimetry method, and breast milk hs-CRP by ELISA method. Median of serum and breast milk CRP were 1,74 mg/L and 6221,17 pg/mL, respectively. Mean of DII score was 0,624. Positive correlation was found between serum and breast milk hs-CRP (r = 0,269, p = 0,023), but we can not find correlation between DII score with serum and breast milk hs-CRP (r = -0,124, p = 0,301 and r = 0,129, p = 0,283). There is no correlation between DII score with serum and breast milk hs-CRP.

"Psoriasis vulgaris merupakan penyakit inflamasi kronik kulit yang didasari oleh proses imunologi. Derajat keparahan psoriasis vulgaris dinilai secara klinis dengan penilaian body surface area (BSA) dan psoriasis area and severity index (PASI). Inflamasi kulit pada psoriasis vulgaris diperankan oleh berbagai sitokin inflamasi yang dapat meningkatkan inflamasi sistemik dan aktivasi trombosit. High sensitivity c-reactive protein (hs-CRP) sebagai penanda inflamasi sistemik serta mean platelet volume (MPV) sebagai penanda aktivasi trombosit diduga dapat dijadikan prediktor derajat keparahan psoriasis vulgaris. Penelitian ini berdesain observasional analitik potong lintang. Setiap subjek penelitian (SP) dengan psoriasis vulgaris yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi dilakukan anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik, dan perhitungan derajat keparahan psoriasis vulgaris dengan PASI dan BSA. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pemeriksaan kadar hs-CRP dan MPV. Dari 32 SP, didapatkan korelasi positif tidak bermakna antara hs-CRP dengan BSA (r=0,118; p=0,518) dan PASI (r=0,322; p=0,073). Korelasi negatif tidak bermakna ditunjukkan antara MPV terhadap BSA (r=-0,035; p=0,848)dan PASI (r=-0,035; p=0,848). Korelasi antara hs-CRP dengan MPV tidak bermakna (r=-0,178; p=0,329). Nilai hs-CRP dan MPV tidak memiliki korelasi bermakna terhadap PASI dan BSA sehingga tidak dapat digunakan sebagai prediktor yang spesifik untuk keparahan psoriasis vulgaris.

Psoriasis vulgaris is a chronic immunologic inflammatory skin disease. The severity of psoriasis vulgaris is clinically-assessed by using body surface area (BSA) and the psoriasis area and severity index (PASI). Skin inflammation in psoriasis vulgaris is played by various inflammatory cytokines that can perpetuate systemic inflammation and platelet activation. High sensitivity c-reactive protein (hs-CRP) as a marker of systemic inflammation and mean platelet volume (MPV) as a marker of platelet activation are thought to be predictors of psoriasis vulgaris severity.
This is a cross-sectional analytic observational study. Each subject with psoriasis vulgaris who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria underwent anamnesis, physical examination, and assessment of PASI and BSA, then examined for hs-CRP and MPV levels.
Among the 32 subjects, a weak insignificant positive correlation was found between hs-CRP and BSA (r=0.118; p=0.518)and PASI (r=0.322; p=0.073). A weak negative insignificant correlation was shown between MPV and BSA (r=-0.035; p=0.848) and PASI (r=-0.035; p=0.848). No significant correlation was found between hs-CRP and MPV (r=-0.178; p=0.329
The hs-CRP and MPV levels ​​do not have a significant correlation with PASI and BSA, therefore cannot be used as specific predictors of psoriasis vulgaris severity.

"Hs-CRP adalah sebuah protein fase akut yang dihasilkan oleh hati yang berperan sebagai prediktor independen yang kuat dalam mengindikasikan risiko aterosklerosis. Sitokin adalah protein kecil yang diproduksi oleh sel T helper (Th) dan makrofag untuk memengaruhi respon imun. Sitokin yang diteliti dibedakan menjadi 2, yaitu sitokin pro-inflamasi (IL-6 dan IL-8) dan sitokin anti-inflamasi(IL-10). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan hs-CRP dan sitokin inflamasi pada pasien lansia usia di atas 60 tahun yang melakukan operasi bedah pintas arteri koroner di RS. Pusat Jantung Nasional Harapan Kita serta kaitannya dengan lama rawat di ICU, sehingga dapat menjadi indikator pengurangan risiko komplikasi pasca-operasi. Konsentrasi hs-CRP dan sitokin inflamasi dianalisis dari plasma darah dengan metode ELISA dan Luminex. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna kadar hs-CRP, IL-6, dan IL-8 antar kelompok pra-operasi dan pasca-operasi. Terdapat korelasi positif antar kadar plasma darah sitokin pro-inflamasi (IL-8) terhadap lama rawat di ICU, dengan koefisien korelasi= 0,459 dan nilai relative risk sebesar 2,7 artinya berindikasi 2,7 kali beresiko terhadap perpanjangan lama rawat di ICU.

Hs-CRP is an acute-phase protein produced by the liver and serving as a strong independent predictor of atherosclerosis risk. Cytokines are small proteins produced by helper T cells (Th) and macrophages to influence the immune response. The cytokines studied are divided into two categories: pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6 and IL-8) and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10). This study aims to determine changes in hs-CRP and inflammatory cytokines in elderly patients over 60 years old undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery at the Pusat Jantung Nasional Harapan Kita Hospital and their relationship with ICU length of stay, thereby serving as indicators for reducing the risk of postoperative complications. The concentrations of hs-CRP and inflammatory cytokines were analyzed from blood plasma using ELISA and Luminex methods. The results showed significant differences in levels of hs-CRP, IL-6, and IL-8 between pre-operative and post-operative groups. There was a positive correlation between plasma levels of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-8 and the length of ICU stay, with a correlation coefficient of 0.459 and a relative risk value of 2.7, indicating a 2.7 times higher risk of prolonged ICU stay."

"C-Reactive Protein merupakan protein penanda biologis yang jumlahnya akan meningkat ketika terjadi proses inflamasi di dalam tubuh. Pada kehamilan, proses inflamasi merupakan proses fisiologis namun tentunya dalam batas normal. Status gizi maternal dipercaya memiliki hubungan dengan proses inflamasi yang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kadar high-sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) pada ibu hamil trimester satu dengan indeks massa tubuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi potong lintang dengan jumlah subjek penelitian 62 responden yang dipilih berdasarkan sistem simple random sampling.
Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil median kadar hs-CRP adalah 2,95 mg/L (0,30-35,30 mg/L). Penelitian ini menggunakan cut-off kadar hs-CRP 5 mg/L dan didapatkan hasil 32,3% subjek memiliki kadar yang tinggi. Indeks massa tubuh ibu hamil trimester pertama ini memiliki nilai rerata 23,68±3,73 kg/m2. Data kemudian dicari korelasinya dengan uji Pearson. Terdapat korelasi sedang positif antara kadar hs-CRP dengan indeks massa tubuh ibu hamil trimester satu (r = 0,435, p = < 0,001). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai indeks massa tubuh, maka semakin tinggi kadar hs-CRP pada ibu hamil trimester satu.

C-Reactive Protein (CRP) is a biomarker protein which increases during inflammation. During pregnancy, there is a physiologic amount of inflammation which increases CRP. Maternal nutrition status is known to be associated with the inflammatory process and pregnancy outcome. The objective of this study was to find the normal value of high-sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) in first trimester pregnancy and its association with body mass index. This study used cross-sectional design with 62 first trimester pregnant women as subjects. The subjects were chosen using simple random sampling method.
It was found that the median serum level of hs-CRP in the subjects was 2.95 mg/L (0.30-35.30 mg/L). The cut-off point of hs-CRP level in this study was 5 mg/L. There were 32.3 % subjects who had higher hs-CRP value. The mean body mass index was 23.68±3.73 kg/m2. Pearson analysis demonstrated medium correlation between the level of hs-CRP and body mass index in first trimester pregnant women (r = 0.435, p = < 0.001). In conclusion, higher body mass index was associated with the higher hs-CRP level in first trimester pregnant women.

"Tujuan penelitian cross sectional ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan asam lemak omega-3 dengan kadar hs-CRP pada pasien Psoriasis vulgaris. Penelitian dilakukan di Yayasan Peduli Psoriasis Indonesia, mulai November 2014 sampai April 2015. Sejumlah 52 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian dipilih menjadi subjek penelitian. Subjek diwawancara, menjalani pemeriksaan antropometri dan kadar hs-CRP. Data asupan asam lemak omega-3, EPA dan DHA diperoleh dengan metode food frequency questionnaire, dan food recall 3 x 24 jam.
Nilai rerata usia subjek adalah 41,9 ± 9,21 tahun. Jumlah subjek laki-laki 57,7% dan wanita, 42,3%. Sebanyak 38,5% subjek status gizinya normal dan 61,5% berat badan lebih. Asupan energi cukup terdapat pada 82,7% subjek, sedangkan 17,3% subjek asupan energinya kurang. Subjek dengan asupan asam lemak omega-3 cukup ada 65,4%, sedangkan 34,6% subjek asupannya kurang. Sebanyak 86,5% subjek asupan EPA dan DHAnya cukup dan 13,5% kurang.
Hasil kadar hs-CRP serum yaitu 9,6% subjek kadarnya >10 mg/L, 57,7% subjek kadarnya 1-10 mg/L dan 32,7% subjek kadarnya <1 mg/L. Hasil uji korelasi rank Spearman antara asupan asam lemak omega-3 dengan kadar hs-CRP memperlihatkan korelasi negatif lemah bermakna (r = - 0,394 dan p = 0,004). Korelasi asupan EPA dan DHA dengan kadar hs-CRP adalah negatif sedang bermakna (r = - 0,499 dan p = 0,000). Asupan asam lemak omega-3 terutama dalam bentuk EPA dan DHA dapat menurunkan kadar hs-CRP pada pasien Psoriasis.

The aim of this cross sectional study is to find out the relationship between dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids and hs-CRP level in patient with Psoriasis vulgaris. This study was conducted from November 2014 to April 2015, at Yayasan Peduli Psoriasis Indonesia. As all the criterias were succeeded, 52 patients were recruited. Data were collected by interview, anthropometric's measurement, and laboratory examination. Dietary intake data of omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA were determined by using food frequencies questionnaire, and food recall 3 x 24 hours method.
Mean value of subjects' age was 41.9 ± 9.21 years. The subjects consisted of 57.7% men and of 42.3% women. Nutritional status of 38.5% subjects was normal and of 61.5% was overweight. An adequate amount of energy intake was found in 82.7% subjects whereas 17.3% was inadequate. Dietary intake of omega- 3 fatty acids was adequate in 65.4% subjects whereas in 34.6% was inadequate. Dietary intake of EPA and DHA in 86.5% subjects was adequate, while in 13.5% subjects, inadequate.
The result of hs-CRP >10 mg/L was found in 9.6% subjects, 1-10 mg/L in 57.7% and <1 mg/L in 32.7% subjects. Rank Spearman correlation test of dietary intake of omega-3 fatty acids and hs-CRP level showed weak negative significant result (r = - 0.394 and p = 0.004). The result of EPA and DHA with hs-CRP level was fair negative significant (r = - 0.499 and p = 0.000). Thus, it can be concluded that dietary omega-3 fatty acids in the form of EPA and DHA might lessen hs-CRP level in Psoriasis patient.
