"This article describes the relationship between power, history and identity in the processof division North Buton of Muna. In this article the presence of North Buton identity is seen asa phenomenon that refers to the identity of reproduction historical narrative where Kulisusuin historical context has a power relationship with the kingdom of Buton which lasted fromthe 17th century. This study found; that the presence of North Buton identity is a product ofdiscourse that legitimized by indigenous groups who identify themselves as descendants ofthe founder of the kingdom Kulisusu. it means that the identity of North Buton formed dueto higher power structures Barata Kulisusu surviving in culture Kulisusu People. This studyalso found that reproductive identity North Buton a political attempt to discover the identityof distinguishing between Kulisusu and People Muna (identity as a weapon of resistance).This distinctive identity in turn managed to attract popular support for the masses who feelconnected to that identity."

"ABSTRAKUltras saat ini menjadi bentuk subkultur suporter sepakbola yang sangat populer. Keberadaan media baru membuat subkultur ultras mampu meresap secara dinamis dan banyak diikuti oleh kaum muda. Melalui kasus Brigata Curva Sud, studi ini akan membahas reproduksi identitas kolektif ultras termasuk peran penting media baru sebagai bagian dari strategi mengokohkan identitas tersebut. Secara umum berbagai kajian-kajian yang ada tentang ultras hingga saat ini cenderung berkutat pada ulasan mengenai kekerasan, politik maupun gerakan sosial. Berbeda dengan kajian-kajian tersebut, penelitian ini justru berupaya menawarkan dimensi kajian lain terhadap subkultur ultras yakni secara spesifik melihat reproduksi identitas yang terjadi serta bagaimana peranan konteks lokal, kaum muda sebagai aktor dan peran penting media baru pada proses tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan bentuk penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa reproduksi identitas subkultur yang didasarkan pada kesesuaian atas konteks lokal dan konteks sosial aktor (kaum muda) dengan didukung peran aktif media baru menyebabkan terjadinya diferensiasi identitas dalam bentuk manifesto nilai dan praktik identitas ultras yang dapat diterima secara luas dan berkelanjutan.

ABSTRACT

Ultras is a form of football supporters subculture that very popular nowadays. The existence of new media make ultras subculture able to penetrate dynamically and turn to be followed by many young people. Through the Brigata Curva Suds case, this study will discuss the reproduction of ultras identity including the important role of new media as part of a strategy to strengthen that identity. In general, various studies on ultras have tended to dwell on reviews of violence, politics and social movements. In contrast to these studies, this study offering another dimension of ultras subculture analysis by looking at the reproduction of identity that occurs and how the local context plays a role, youth as actors and the important role of new media in the process. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection in this study was conducted by interview, observation, and documentation. This shows that the reproduction of subcultural identity based on the suitability of the local context and the social context of actors (youth) supported by the active role of new media causes distinctive identity differentiation in the form of ultrass values and practices manifesto that can be widely accepted and be sustainable.
