"At first, this article explained a system approach (information system as a social system). The system approach apparently that have three branched like positive, intepretive, and critically. The last two branched also said an anti-positive approach. The positive approach has a dominantly used in the field of information and library in Indonesia. While the anti-positive approach nowadays not expand yet and become an alternative approach to considering. This article effort to describe the alternative approach with certain that this approach can help Indonesian librarian to getting an appropriate understand the information system in the certain society. Specifically, this article also describe the structuration theory from Anthony Giddens as one of the anti-positive theory"
