Abstrak :
Perpustakaan Japan Foundation merupakan salah satu perpustakaan yang melakukan penyensoran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses penyensoran yang dilakukan oleh pihak pustakawan Perpustakaan Japan Foundation dan menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab penyensoran bahan pustaka yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik studi kasus digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan gambaran dan penyebab penyensoran di perpustakaan Japan Foundation secara mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tindakan penyensoran di Perpustakaan Japan Foundation dilakukan atas inisiatif pustakawan sendiri karena konflik pada nilai pribadi pustakawan dan tidak sesuai dengan standar komunitas. ...... Japan Foundation Library is one of libraries conducting the censorship. This research aims to depict censorship process which is conducted by Japan Foundation librarian. It also analyses the factors caused by censorship which is done by the librarian. Qualitative research method employs study case and is used to obtain description and reasons the use of censorship in Japan Foundation library deeply. Based on this research, it can be concluded that censorship in Japan Foundation Library was held by the librarian itself because of conflict on personal view of the librarian and it is not appropriate to the community standard.
