ABSTRAK Artikel ini membicarakan kondisi sosial ekonomi dan sosial budaya komunitas Magribi di Prancis. Komunitas Magribi di Prancis adalah sebuah komunitas yang cukup signifikan jumlahnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti catatan historis kedatangan mereka pasca PD sebagai para pekerja. Komunitas ini cukup berbeda dari kelompok pendatang yang lain, terdapat perbedaan budaya antara orang Magribi dan orang Prancis yang cukup signifikan. Apabila diteliti secara mendalam terdapat banyak konflik yang terjadi dikarenakan perbedaanperbedaan ini. Itulah beberapa faktor yang membuat komunitas Magribi menarik untuk diteliti. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan berdasarkan kategori socioprofessionnelle. Sebagai hasil, penulis menemukan bahwa kondisi sosial ekonomi komunitas Magribi di Prancis masih terbilang sama sejak awal kedatangan mereka ke Prancis hingga dalam kurun waktu tiga dekade terakhir. Mereka masih terjebak dalam situasi yang sangat kompleks dan akan terus berada dalam kemiskinan. Hal ini menyebabkan mereka selalu berada pada tingkat sosial terendah dalam stratifikasi masyarakat di Prancis.

ABSTRACT This article discusses the socio economic and sociocultural conditions of the Maghreb community in France. The Maghreb community is significantly large in France due to several factors, such as their history as workers post both world wars. This community is quite different from other groups of migrants as there are cultural differences between the Maghreb and French people. As the writer began to analyze in depth, there are many conflicts that occur due to these differences. These are the factors that made the Maghreb community interesting to be learned. The method used in this article is a qualitative method from several datas based on socio professionnelle categories. As the end of analysis the writer found the socio economic conditions of the Maghreb community in France is still quite the same ever since their first arrival to the last three decades. They are still caught in a very complex situation and will continue to be in poverty. This led them to always be positioned at the lowest social level in France.
