Abstrak :
Latar Belakang. Pendidikan yang baik sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia di bidang kedokteran dan pelayanan kesehatan di Indonesia. Uji Kompetensi (UK) berperan sebagai instrumen penilaian lulusan dokter yang memenuhi Standar Kompetensi Dokter Indonesia (SKDI). Penelitian ini mempunyai fokus dalam mengeksplorasi kemungkinan penyebab kegagalan mahasiswa FK Unaya dalam menghadapi uji kompetensi sehingga hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan dalam usaha peningkatan kualitas lulusan. Metode. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) terhadap mahasiswa yang lulus dan tidak lulus uji kompetensi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap pemangku kepentingan, staf pengajar preklinik dan klinik. Hasil. FGD dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali dan 3 wawancara mendalam terhadap pemangku kepentingan, 6 wawancara mendalam terhadap staf pengajar. Setelah data dianalisis dengan pendekatan tematik diperoleh faktor yang mempengaruhi uji kompetensi mahasiswa FK Unaya yaitu 1. Faktor yang potensial mempengaruhi keberhasilan uji kompetensi dari segi proses pendidikan terdiri dari faktor akademik (karakteristik pembelajar orang dewasa, materi pembelajaran, pengajaran dan pembelajaran, sumber daya, evaluasi hasil) dan faktor non akademik (motivasi) 2. Faktor yang potesial mempengaruhi uji kompetensi saat pelaksanaan ujian terdiri dari faktor akademik (metode belajar, materi ujian yang tidak dikuasai, bentuk soal kasus) dan faktor non akademik (internal: karakteristik pembelajaran orang dewasa, motivasi, konsentrasi, kesehatan; eksternal: metode Computer Based Test, lingkungan belajar) Kesimpulan. Faktor yang potensial menentukan kelulusan mahasiswa yang lulus uji kompetensi adalah mahasiswa yang lulus memiliki karakteristik pembelajar dewasa dan memiliki motivasi untuk lulus uji kompetensi. ......Background. Good education is strongly needed in order to improve human resources in the field of medicine and health service in Indonesia. License examination (UK) plays a role as an instrument to asses medical students competence, however the number of Unaya's students who pass the exam is still low. This research focused on exploring the possible causes of Unaya's medical students failure in the license examination. This research can be used to improve the quality of the graduates. Method. This is a qualitative research using case study design. A series of focus group discussions (FGDs) to the students who passed and failed in the license examination and in depth interviews to the stakeholders, preclinical and clinical teachers were completed. Result. Five FGDs involving 13 students who passed and 12 students who failed the license examination, were conducted. Three in depth interviews to the stake-holders and 6 in depth interviews to the medical teachers were also completed. Following a thematic analysis, the results are 1. Potential factors from the education process that may influence outcomes of license examination: academic factors (adult learner, content, teaching and learning, resources, and student evaluation) and non academic factor (motivation). 2. Potential factors that may influence during the examination, are: academic factors (learning method, knowledge, MCQ format) and non-academic factors (internal: adult learner characteristic, motivation, concentration, health; and external: assessment method, learning environtment). Conclusion. Educational process and test preparation have important roles in the competency test result. Despite some obstacles in educational process in FK Unaya, there were still a few students who could pass the exam which might be due to their adult learner characteristics and self motivations.

Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan dan kegagalan pembelajaran pada mahasiswa akuntansi, bagaimana mahasiswa Akuntansi FEB UI mendefinisikan arti kesuksesan (tercapainya tujuan intrinsik/ekstrinsik), apakah latar belakang mempengaruhi pendefinisian kesuksesan, bagaimana pembelajaran akuntansi di FEB UI mempengaruhi kepribadian dan kemampuan mahasiswa, dan apakah efektivitas proses pembelajaran mata kuliah wajib akuntansi di FEB UI mempengaruhi kesuksesan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dan salah satu perumusan masalahnya dianalisis menggunakan uji beda. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah faktor yang paling mempengaruhi keberhasilan dan kegagalan pembelajaran pada mahasiswa akuntansi FEB UI adalah efektivitas pengajar. ......This study investigates the factors that influence the success and failure of learning the accounting student, how the student of Accounting FEB UI to define the meaning of success (achievement of the intrinsic/extrinsic), whether the background affects the definition of success, how learning in FEB UI affects personality and the ability of the students, and whether the effectiveness of the learning process compulsory subjects accounting in FEB UI affects student success. This research is descriptive, and one formulation of the problem is analyzed using different test. Results from this study are the factors that most influence the success and failure of student learning in accounting FEB UI is the effectiveness of teachers.
